WvW players are such a great source of content. You wipe the floor with someone who’s got backup/help in a like 1v3 situation and they immediately get angry and keep coming back tilted just to die again lol
Yeah, I like this sort of build simply because you have so many tools for any scenario. The skill ceiling on this is higher than a nade build, so I'm going to keep at it for a while and see how I get on.
Yeah, I'll play this build for a bit and see how it goes once I run into some decent players. The grenade build was stupidly strong against just about anything, so really this is an attempt to find something else viable/fun to play.
Yeah, definitely worth considering.. Especially if you're running hammer instead of mace/shield. I'll give it a whirl at some point! You'd get a really long stealth with so many finishers too
@@RcTamiya91 yeah, i tried shortbow with this build too and it works well for damage projection at range (explosive entrance+bunker down) but i can see it working better on Holo. Scrapper with shortbow feels a bit helpless against multiple opponents without mobility or block
@@ProzapGW yea, i also tried a pure cc version using two turrets, i managed to lock down a single target for 30 seconds as holo with SB xD And ye the target used its stunbreaks

How do i face away running backwards like that? I cant do that even if i dont use camera lock. It just makes me go backwards and using about faces makes my camera turn with where my character is facing
There are a few guides knocking around. You need to make sure 'free camera' is checked in settings, then you will need to let go of RMB and click LMB before about face. It decouples the camera from the direction you are facing. I press LMB quickly now before about face as a habit xD Also, if you press RMB too soon after about face, it will swivel everything around again. It will just take some practice to get the timing down.
To be honest I'm not a huge fan of rifle at the moment. It did have a few buffs, but also the AA was nerfed again more recently. The idea behind this build is maximising interrupts/CC, and Mace/Shield has 5 options for CC, plus a lot of sustain/block/reflect.. You could probably get away with doing a rifle version, but there are many situations where that would result in you getting eaten alive :)
I believe this was a combination of berserker, marauder and then durability runes? I've recently changed to running full berserker and infiltration, deadeye or scholar runes, depending on your preference for crit chance vs crit damage. Personally I prefer deadeye as its in the middle. You don't really need the boon duration or toughness, and the damage is significantly more oppressive, which is important on this build.
It could, although I think the damage output might be too low.. also you can see I'm already very tanky even with marauders thanks to the protection, barrier and healing power with Regen inventions minor trait.. 99% of the build's damage is strike damage too.
I'm using Chronomancer relic for the quickness. I just realised the relic wasn't on my build screen shot.. my bad! Mortar feels too slow without quickness! 😅
A lot of damage can be mitigated by moving and breaking line of sight etc, I think once you learn to move well in fights it gets easier! Mobility skills/leaps, superspeed and relic of speed are definitely your friend, as well as controls like 'about face' 😊

@@ProzapGW I know, but rifle is so short on the cooldown and has a lot of utility and a controllable mobility skill. It can also cleanse 3 movement imparing conditions while also dealing decent aoe damage. Hammer as much as it is great, it feels clunky for me
Slightly less than function gyro. Normally ~3k against most. A good chunk of these opponents were cele or condi, so less than that against those. I think the scaling is 0.95 vs function gyro's 1.0 (or mortar auto attack 1.0)
Another point of reference is the rockets from aim-assisted-rocket (explosives) which have 0.5 scaling, so the bunker down mines do almost double the damage of each rocket.
Ridiculous! A full berserker warrior deals 500 on non critical hits on auto attacks and 1000 critical hits on auto attacks and these classes hit you for 2k to 5k on range attacks. This is disgusting!

I gotta ask, can you make a build like this but you use rifle instead cuz the lower base cooldown really does come in handy
