Well vindicator still has easier time giving the team stability...but the benefits really end there. This is the better build. More damage, more team support, but vindicator is still a good build, nothing wrong with it!
the new weapon master that came out with SOTO allows all weapons can be used as long as its in that specialization ex. all weapons that core revenant, herald, renegade, and vindicator. can be used @@johnnytarr5457
Would love to see a power renegade video up next, just because of the ability to swap between quickness/alacrity on one character, one set of equipment seems sooooo soooo enticing.
Did try this on the launch of the new SotO map with GS / Staff, the Quickness it gives to GS with easy rotation is cool, insane cc and tons of boons you can share with the group. Easy alternative rotation.
It would be good with any of these builds that provide boons to see what the coverage/uptime actually is. Knowing if this can fill in a specific boon role in a group is important. Other than that, keep them up - super useful guides!

The reason of dragonhunter runes instead of scholars is because the dps variant doesn't need the extra concentration you get from power like in the quickness variant? I'm guessing it's still scholars for the quickness version.
You have enough concentration in every way. You want dragonhunter instead of scholar, because it gives a bit more ferocity and a bit less power, which results in a small dmg buff. No scholar in any way for rev

You have to start it and play some of very first missions and weapon master will unlock you all Elite spec weapons. I think it gets unlocked in 1st or 2nd chapter (out of 10 chapters in total).
When I use training area I always turn off boons so I can see which boons the build is actually producing, unless I'm doing it wrong I can maintain only 2 to 3 boons at best, not insane. Yes to DPS. On the other hand, using GS on qdps build is awesome, insane boons too.
Yep! If you ever find yourself not in a group you have to switch to qdps! That's the beauty of herald it can do anything it wants! In open world I just default to quick dps.
You don't extend the boon duration of your allies unless you activate your True Nature. Facet of Nature just extends the boons if you are the source. Since you have no concentration in this build you are actually not providing any boons to your party. If you use Elevated Compassion in Herald's trait tree, use your second consume skills just before switching legends and active the True Nature before switching to Shiro (while in Glint), that way you can easily provide permanent 25 stacks of might, quickness, fury and some switfness. Of course in return of %20-25 DPS loss.

I mean, 39.5k in an easy rotation is good. But how much would it do in a full rotation? It looks to have very bad long-term dmg, great burst but it falls too much.
Why are we doing benchmarks on medium sized hitboxes now? It should either be huge (to showcase the damage from Requiem being maxed out) or small to showcase more realistic levels of damage
They can only do that by giving the GS other stats than vindicator Same with sword for non holos Or they will hurt vindicator for the sake of other classes ^^
@@powehi173 that is one way to do it, but except they do it in a minor trait it will decrease variety if its only on one major trait and only improve one build which i would not prefer Its honestly a better way to modify the weapon for specific elite specs before morphing it for the entire class...
I think it's fine actually. ANet already anticipated the power creep with the addition of relics. You can see how much HP the new strike bosses have, and we might even see some classes creeping up close to 50k later on.
Don't be fooled though folks. this video shows them getting buffed by the testing arena buffs. So doesn't show one's own buffs. which is why I would say depending on your group's makeup, swap final herald talent to get quickness for your party. But if you were doing this solo, you'd only be getting about half the numbers. GS 5 is still pretty hard hitting, with full buffs yes I get nearly 40k damage. but otherwise without the arena buffs, it's more like 20-25k not a bad build, just not as good as what is portrayed unless in a group that's just giving you all those buffs, but as a herald you should be offering party buffs too.

For WvW group (15-25 people), just change berserker to marauder? Is there a crit percent that needs to be hit?

Greatsword is better in everyway in my opinion. I don't recommend anyone use swords anymore.

Noob question. Do I need to finish the SotO story quest to be able to use the weapons ? or is there a certain mastery that needs to be unlocked ?
I can't recall which act but it's earlier into the story yes.

But it has no meaning in raids once you have supports. It is usable for solo pve.

There is an open world variant in the description. Just replace the swords in the build with greatsword.

They can do it by moving power from the weapon to the elite spec. Which I expect to happen with a bunch of weapons and elite specs.
