I just disabled the start / stop on my 2020 F150, but for whatever reason, just re-writing the BCM in itself didn't work. Once I went into the FCIM and disabled the switch, the start / stop was then completely disabled. To each their own, but I purchased the extended license because I like to support the developers of the programs I use. Being able to permanently disable the most annoying feature on this truck is easily worth the price.
Something people need to keep in mind when they're using this..watch your battery voltage. The modules in these new vehicles are extremely voltage sensitive. They have a comfort zone, especially when it comes to programming. The vast majority of times, a vehicle is hooked up to battery sustainer when programming is done at the dealership. If your battery voltage starts dropping below threshold when you're in there re-writing things, you could potentially have issues. Whether you're programming, or performing diagnostics, always make sure you have proper battery voltage. It'll save you a lot of potential headaches.
I find the Auto Start/Stop feature as a gas saving and safe driving tool. I have a 2017 F-150 and at 1st didn't like it but found that if you anticipate stops you can do so which allows the engine to stay on. To do this slowly apply the brakes until the truck comes to a stop. If for instance you are in bridge traffic just press on the brakes further and the engine will stop. Another bonus is you'll extend the life out of your brake pads!
Through a Ford engineering study that they did the auto start/stop saved between 1.9%-11% in new York city traffic. So unless your driving in that the amount your saving is less than 1mpg.
@@WICKEDAUTO1 I live on the coast, Gloucester, Ma to be exact. We have a drawbridge that separates Gloucester in two, an island side and the mainland. nothing voids the warranty unless they can prove that whatever you did is what caused the problem. With forscan as long as you save your factory settings before making at changes, you can always change back to factory.
Ford has their ETIS site where you enter your vin and get the *Just-left-the-factory* configurations in case something does go wrong, and its not a module failure.

Shawn J I have a 19 platinum too, have you made any changes yet? I’ve tried, and so far there are a lot of modules that didn’t pop up for me. I changed the double honk when leaving the truck with it still running, and add the heated/cooled seats to the home screen. No my TPMS is displaying. Have you run into this yet?
New version of Forscan doesn't show any codes at all - it lists the specific items by name and you just go in and enable, disable, or choose any available option.
silly question- i got a 19 lariat 3.5, two sons drove it and went out and got their own new 3.5s too- but XLTs...neither noticed till a couple weeks later, mine sounds like a v8, theirs dont...did some checking, 'enhanced engine sound' is fake v8 noise played thru the stereo system...sucks as its fake, but it does add to the 'bigbock feel' of driving te 3.5... I see in raptors it can be shut off with forscan- wondered if it could be turned on with XLT trim? oldest son drove mine again today, and swears the sound really made it 'feel' stronger... wonder if it could simply be turned on, or if stereo upgrade required...
hey wicked auto.........how do i disable the really fricken annoying bounce back feature in the windows for my 2015 f150 i mean disable permanently as in forever and ever. thanks
I bought the adapter cable and downloaded Forscan and no matter what I try I can't get my computer to recognize the adapter cable when I try to connect. I need help !!

Where do you find the spreadsheet for all the codes on everything that can be modified. I have a 17 fusion platinum edition, and am very new to all of this. I’m actually a bit nervous but I hear so many great things about being able to change settings and enable and disable certain features.
WickedF150 Thank you for the fast reply. I’m don’t mean to keep bugging you man, but do you have any idea where or how I can find spreadsheets like what you showed but for a 17 fusion vs. f150s? I would greatly appreciate your help man.

No they haven't at all, they knew from the very first visit that I changed stuff. And they also cannot, not honor the warranty just because of that depending on what you change of course. Forscan is a poke at the VW original, called VAGCOM.
Hey man, when you changed that value for the auto start/stop what did it do? Because the notes don't say anything for the first code
It turns it off but it also then doesn't allow the battery management system to work, no idea what all that entails though
