Just a few points - before making any changes, you can save the current configuration as a default to go back to if you break something. Also, double clicking any category will open its setting; save a lot of mouse moving. And - an important setting that wasn't touched on: Tire size setting in the BCM. Most people end up putting oversized tires on their truck. This also effects your speedometer. Changing the tire size setting to the correct size of your new tires will also correct your speedometer. Save you from paying Ford $55 to do it for you. Another nice feature is "Lincoln mirrors", which, if you have power mirrors, will auto fold them in when locking the truck. Police park is another nice feature if you ever run into convenience stores and leave your truck running. Police park will make it so your vehicle cannot be taken out of park unless the key is in the cab. Just one more tidbit many dont know - again, if you have power mirrors, touching the 2 bottom buttons at the same time on the combo lock on your door will fold the mirrors in. :)

Then you can load the original data back whenever you like to go back to the factory setting by pressing (Load All) tap . This will take you to the Forscan folder and select the file you saved earlier .

For all you guys that are looking to adjust the speedometer its under tire circumference. the distance needs to be in millimeters, so take your tire height in inches, google the conversion to millimeters. Then take that number and multiply it by PI (3.14). That's the number you put in forscan so you have an accurate speedo. Example: 33" tires are 838.2 mm. 838.2x 3.14= 2633mm

Dude... I had my OBD EX just sitting for months, because I didn't want to mess with the spreadsheet shit. This video just helped me big time. In less than 20 minutes I was able to add Sport mode to my Badlands Bronco, remove the double honk, and reconfigure the lighting including bambi mode. I tried to add the cameras at speed, but that didn't seem to take. I will have to look at that again, but THANK YOU. Even though this video is for F series Pickups, the process is the same for the Bronco!!

@@COLTSWAY I also changed the tire size. But pulled the connector cord out without pressing the disconnect button. Now I get a “check 4x4” and “service vehicle soon” warning. And Forscan no longer sees the connector. Any thoughts?
Awesome video will save this to reference. Just bought the new OBD link you bought ... you should have mentioned you do not need to know which is is high speed and low speed like the older OBD connectors because this will do it automatically! The new update for Forscan for the spread sheets is awesome. Colt a little trick I do and will do when I make changes (first make a folder in your documents file and name it (OBD changes) or what ever you want ... then after you make the change hit the (Print Screen button) on the key board then open (Paint) and click on paste and you can edit that screen shot by encircling the change you just made with (shape) in red ... then save it to the folder in your documents you made (OBD changes) and I always save as (JPEG) file and name it according to the spread sheet change.

That have had those options for a few years now. Way easier, however the spreadsheet gives more options. The simple drop down menus are missing a few options that are only accessible in the Hex menus.

I upgraded my 17 XLT manual scope mirrors to powerscope mirrors and used foreskin to enable everything... every dealership I talked to said it couldnt be done.... I also added hill descent control with the $15 oe button... another feature they treat as a “big upgrade”.... the whole options thing is a real racket!
@@COLTSWAY the entire upgrade after mirrors, modules, harness’s was prob 2K IIRC... a $250 upcharge if you buy a truck that already has em🤬 bought the mirror’s, harness’s and modules from Sunrise ford I think. Random stuff like master switch and bezels ebay. I have a full parts list somewhere if you want it. Takes a peasants xlt up a peg or 2😂

That's the best OBDII connector. I used cheaper ones first and had a lot of problems. I figured forscan would be more expensive but that's not bad. I don't use it much so I just renew the trial version when I do need it.

I work with computers for a living, and I also drive a 6.7L (mine’s a 2014)…I will say this is a pretty damn good tutorial for forSCAN. I haven’t fucked around with it much, but I think I will now! (You know I did that “muffler” delete and tune, though 😅)

I have a 2020 f450 that I had to replace the bumper,the old one did not have fog lights and the replacement does. Factory harness is there and purchased the light switch with the fog lamp built in. If i purchase the program and buy the OBDLink EX FORscan should I be able to get the fog lights to work?

Random fun fact that everyone probably knew except me. The ezlynk allows you to do some minor forscan changes under the functions tab. No more double honk getting kids out of the car with the truck running

Hell yea, it’s a lot easier. Dude we love it so far. With the baby and all and us wanting another one her little car just wasn’t big enough. This thing has tons of room, a strong ass motor, 4wd and tv’s for the kiddos. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

I work with computers for a living, and I also drive a 6.7L (mine’s a 2014)…I will say this is a pretty damn good tutorial for forSCAN. I haven’t fucked around with it much, but I think I will now! (You know I did that “muffler” delete and tune, though 😅)

I have a 2020 f450 that I had to replace the bumper,the old one did not have fog lights and the replacement does. Factory harness is there and purchased the light switch with the fog lamp built in. If i purchase the program and buy the OBDLink EX FORscan should I be able to get the fog lights to work?

Random fun fact that everyone probably knew except me. The ezlynk allows you to do some minor forscan changes under the functions tab. No more double honk getting kids out of the car with the truck running

Hell yea, it’s a lot easier. Dude we love it so far. With the baby and all and us wanting another one her little car just wasn’t big enough. This thing has tons of room, a strong ass motor, 4wd and tv’s for the kiddos. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
