I really appreciate the old commercials, they are a peek into a culture and time that has changed so much. I'm not a fan of commercials and ads in most cases, but these are a special exception.
Mystery Theatre takes me back to being a kid @ 11yrs old. We're from Washington DC., But moved to Maryland Suburbs from Apartment living to a House. During the summertime, We go to the Horse racetrack in Oxon Hill which was Rosecroft or Freestate in Laurel, We would stop at Jack-in-the-Box or Burger King on the way home, Then at 10pm, EG Marshall's voice came on. Dad would always add crazy endings to the story So when we got Home, We'd be too scared to go out the Van. lol GR8 MEMORIES. RIP DAD.
Melanie Brantd,,You are right! I feel the same.I do not watch tv now or listen to talk radio at all ,every commercial has agenda. But this are from My teenage years,.Times were different. I love going back! These stories accompany me on my insomnia beleaguered Nights!
Herselfjeannemac Mccarthy Amen! Very smart not listening to talk radio. It’s become a breeding ground for hate and anger! Usually the only time I’m watching tv is for football or golf. These stories engage the mind much more than movies or tv
I love these old radio shows... Thank you... I wish however someone with the tech know how would post them MINUS the advertisements!! I get so sick of the same adds over and over on each of these programs... There are some that are uploaded that don't have AD's, I love those... Again thank you for your effort, I do appreciate it...
Wow, E.G. made rather a big deal of talking about the squeaking door in this one! ^_^ "One direct carry over from Inner Sanctum to CBSRMT was the creaking door in the opening. [Producer Himan] Brown told of remembering a creaky door at the foot of the basement stairs that was very frightening, and the decision was made to add it to the program. When the sound effects man was unable to get the proper sound out of his door effect, Brown quickly jumped into a chair on the set that gave the sound needed. The chair was used for the rest of the show's run. On more than one occasion a well meaning maintenance man would oil the squeaky chair, forcing the effects man to verbally make the sound."
Great episode! And the analyst was following the patient´s delirium, which is what he is supposed to do in real life. But it wasnt a case of neurosis as E.G. Marshall stated in the end, it was either psicosis or schizophrenia. Greetings from Argentina!
I really like the words to the Budweiser commercial when they sing it full out, hysterical! Sounds like an anthem. Sometimes I like the local ads because I imagine what the people in these cities were materially interested in back then and how they wanted to be seen in their scene. Many of the national commercials were dreadful, i.e. diet 7-up, big thumbs down.

+Steve Bergman, ok fair enough!
Awesome! Very sophisticated plot for it's day, and still stands up even today. Great Cover images with each episode. Keep these gems coming!
This episode has an unexpected ending -loved it. Thank you 😊

REAL good storys better than that box that sits in the corner.
roderick sloan Ditto!
That was how I felt in the 70s. These things were better than some of the movies of the week.

Are these episodes all created in 1974??? If so, it was a busy year for the Radio Mystery Theater!
