Hi Nora!! I love that you talked about the Musselburgh pronunciation. When people say it "Musselborough", it drives me absolutely insane for some reason lol
I watched your video on Saturday and totally forgot to comment. I'm back to tell you your “ugly” Christmas sweater is stunning, and the fact that it's all crouched makes me love it even more. Absolutely one of the cutest things I've seen, and made me smile. My little boy now wants teddy bears 🧸 on all his clothing 😊 Happy knitting! Happy Holidays!!! 🎄💚🧶💚🎄
Good job on the dress. I use a double pointed needle for my cabling and put the needle behind my ear when I’m not using it. Have I walked out of the house with it behind my ear? Yes, yes I have.
Thank you!!! I actually thought this would be just the project to try that on! Unfortunately, the alpaca silk is just a little too slippery and then tricky to fuss with when the stitches slipped away. I’d be interested to try again in 100% wool
The Musselburgh hat is so warm. I’ve knit 10 (I have a big fam😊). Even ordered yarn to knit two more lol. I enjoy it as a mindless knit ;) I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I have. Love your cute sweater btw!
that sweater!!!!! I love the kitchiness vibe and the vintage holiday colors make it so xtra!!! Goals!! You are going to be the most squished and felt up (hopefully in a good way) person at your parites with that honeycomb!! That stitch makes for a great baby or grown up blankie
I'm way color-sensitive. After seeing your Lion Brand on 3 different screens (chromebook, phone, tablet, Joann's website + multiple vids of yours), I loved the balance of cool/warm in the gray and ordered 6 skeins from Joann to pick up in store. With commercial yarn at this scale, dye lot is rarely a discernible thing, really. Brought the package (sealed) home, opened it, and holy shit was it BEIGE. Nowhere near what you're showing. Your color looks elegant, the beige stuff just looks like big-box whatever yarn. You got a lucky batch.
That sweater!! The best Christmas sweater ever and you have toys to play with at the ready! Dress is looking fantastic. Lighting and decor are very nice and feel super seasonal. Thanks for the Saturday "happy place" video!
Lol I'm glad you're enjoying the honeycomb - I started a scarf with two big cables along the edge and then honeycomb and moss stitch ... Had to rip it out, I realized there was no way it was going to be a fun knit 😅
I can't wait to see your finished dress, it looks so great so far! 😍I really love how much thought and care you put into each garment, it's very inspiring ❤
I like the cable needles that are circular spiral shape best. Small and easy to use. I hook them into the sweater so its easy to grab for the next cable to be worked. Got them off Amazon about 5 of them sold together.
A crazy idea for you caramello sweater! If you don’t want to manage 3 cones at once, you could try out the Navajo 3-ply method! You might still need to helical knit between skeins, but it should make the bulk of the project more portable 😁
The dye transferring onto your hands is called crocking. Its due to excess dye particles that loosen as the yarn rubs against your fingers as you knit. I've had the same thing happen a few times while knitting with highly saturated yarn. It's kind of like when you buy a new pair of blue jeans and some of the dye rubs off on your legs if you wear them before washing. Also, I really love your crocheted christmas sweater!! It is fabulous!!! 💝
I had the very same negative experience with the traditional cable needle style and totally agree with you about the fish hook style. It’s the only way to go for me!
I tried not to watch this episode yet as I'm working my way through past episodes and didn't want to spoil any new projects for myself 😂 but I couldn't resist. Looooooove the crochet Christmas sweater!
Love how your dress looks and your crocheted Christmas sweater is so sweet! I couldn't use the J hook cable needle, AT. ALL! I had all the problems with it that you did with the mustache shape. Now, saying this, one thing you Need to learn is how to cable without the needle. Game changer! Now I can do it all without even thinking at all. Learn this on something other than alpaca/silk fibers. Too slippery! Use a nice 100% wool since it's more "sticky" and less likely to drop and run while you're learning. Put in a bunch of color catchers in when you wash the hat. They'll help a lot. Love your videos and your cheerful personality. Thanks for your hard work on editing.
It is always so interesting to me how Al of us can have such differing preferences! That’s the beauty of the craft! I agree that I should try doing cables without a needle! Thank you for the advice!
Happy Saturday, team Nora! I use a Prym Ergonomics Yoga cable-stitch needle, which I believe I found on Amazon. It has two plastic tips and a flexible coated wire cable between them that you can shape however you like. Like you, I generally prefer the U or hook shape, but sometimes I twist it or something else. The only thing I don't love about it is that the needles have those teardrop "hook" tips, so be advised in case you don't like those! Re Valley Yarns alpaca silk - I bought some in Fawn (tan/caramel color) to go with a matching baby DK for PetiteKnits' Champagne Cardigan. Thanks for the recommendation!
Happy Saturday!!!! That sounds right up my alley! Totally going to look it up right now-thank you for the recommendation! I am so excited for your alpaca silk! It is so soft and luxurious and blocks out like a dream!!! I hope you love it!
you might like the floops needles for cables too - but I highly recommend learning to cable without a cable needle, once you get the hang of it it's so much faster and easier! You basically just swap the stitches around and then knit across them
I feel the same way about cable needles. I will use nothing else but the hook or J shaped metal one, for all the reasons you mentioned. I have a small ceramic cup next to my knitting space where I store pens, my small scissors, extra crochet hooks etc. I just hook the cable needle over the edge, and it's right there for when I need it. I love watching your podcasts, you always give such good information and excellent reasoning for why you do something a certain way. Regarding the Musselborough, I weigh the ball at the start, then weigh it after the increases, and the difference is how much I save at the end for the decreases. I've made 2, and I could so easily make a 3rd!
It’s so convenient when you knit in the same place all the time! I feel like I need 3x every tool and notion! One for each space I craft in 😅 thank you so much 🥰 I should have weighed the yarn before I started my musselburgh! I will keep that in mind for next time!!!
Your dress is looking so good! Can’t wait to see the finished product 😍😍 ALSO I had an idea…someone who makes those clay progress keepers has to be watching. I would absolutely die if there was a cutie little @akanoraknits collection with all your characters from the episodes haha. I would get my own little herd of brushed alpaca progress keepers 😂
Your Christmas knitting is so adventurous and your progress is amazing! I like the way you track the project time on the calendar too. It is a highlight of the week to watch your videos and feel your enthusiasm and honesty!
I use a short straight needle for cables - it looks like a short double-point needle. It’s my favorite. I have a hook type needle and I don’t really like it as much as the straight one.
When I knit cables, I just use a dpn in the size that the pattern calls for. It makes it easy for me to knit the stitches straight off of the dpn. Of course a dpn may get lost in the couch like the "mustache" one did for you.😅
OMG your Christmas sweater!! Amazing! Love how your Christmas dress is coming along. Almost makes me want to knit something in bright red (never worn anything proper red in my life). I have knit a million hats but recently did the Musselburgh for the first time, in fingering. By far my favourite hat of all times! I will try it in dk as well but I think fingering is the best. Currently working on my second version and this time in 100% cashmere🥰
Thank you!!!!! We all need a little something red in our wardrobe! You’ll feel so powerful!! I’m so glad you love yours! I hope mine turns out as well!!! 🤞🏻
I try to maintain the same three project limit (though lately it's been more than that...) I like to have one small project for travel, one project that's too big to travel with, but is fairly simple, and one complicated project. I have two extras right now, but that's only because I picked up something at the shop that I was too excited not to cast on, and I have a constant work in progress of sock yarn mice for my kitties. But I find if I let myself cast on too many things, nothing gets finished or everything takes forever!
What a darling opening... I love all the 'I am Nora' openings. You are so very clever and looking very beautiful today, too. That sweater is amazing and made up by you. What talent!! Great video.. sending love, hugs, prayers.
That crocheted Christmas sweater is giving me life! Thank you for sharing! If you ever are worried about dye bleeding during soaking I would highly recommend using Shout color catchers. They work miracles and I’ve never had an issue when I’ve used them. Sounds like that’s not a problem this time though. Thank you again for a wonderful video ☺️
I cannot wait to hear the whole frogging saga next week, but it is so lovely to see your projects! Musselburgh hats are in the air this time of year it seems, so I am excited to hear how it goes for you
It literally all unfolded right after I filmed! You’ll definitely hear all about it! The Musselburgh is very synonymous with the ranunculus to me (the hype around it) I feel like I’m just constantly trying to figure out what all the hoopla is about! 😂😅
Re: fisherman’s wool! I bought one skein of oatmeal a few years ago (from Joann) and then this year bought a 3 pack from amazon. Mine wasn’t listed as defective, but it’s waaaay cooler toned than the original skein. I assumed they had just changed the product, but now I’m so curious and need to do some detective work with you 😆
Lovely episode, thank you, Nora. I’ve done three Musselburgh hats now, one in Hedgehog Fibres. They did take a lot of knitting but I love them all. Advice I give myself having done three is: When it looks too long, keep knitting a bit more. And then a bit more again. Anyone thinking of using two colours and swapping at the half way point, note your turn up cuff will be a different colour to the rest of the hat. All mine are one colour. Great pattern x
I so look forward to your videos every week and I can’t wait to see how your Christmas dress turns out!! I use the Clover U cable needle (should be available at Joann’s in a 3 pack). It’s a bit narrower so it should stay out of your way a bit better but I have found that I am also able to keep the needle sort of looped over my thumb which keeps it out of the way when I’m not cabling and it doesn’t move around at all. Hope this helps!
Your crochet sweater is so clever with the 3-dimensional aspects! And you are tackling such projects for being a relatively new knitter. Enjoying watching your projects come alive!
Hi! I love knitting to your videos on Saturday mornings! I'm actually working on my fifth Musselburgh while you were chatting about yours! I totally agree that the increases seem to take forever! I do find that I fly through the decreases on the other end though! Happy knitting!
Thank you! Perhaps I haven’t seen the right video, but I found that the alpaca silk & fable are a pretty slippery combo, so the less I need to fuss with it the better!
Good luck on your dress! I want to cast on all the things, too, but there are only so many available hours in a day… darn! BTW, I think the word you are looking for for “bust” would be “bodice.” 😂
Thank you!!! The cast-on-itis has never felt so strong! But I am hanging in there! Trying to resist the urge. I’m literally laughing so hard that “bodice” just never made it’s way into my brain! It’s so funny to me when I’m editing and I can tell I didn’t get enough sleep the night before 😂
Your Christmas dress is worthy of a red slip underneath it. I remember your concern about the skirt possibly not being modest enough. Do you still feel that way? Or do you feel better as you’re progressing? Stunning work. 🎉
Very festive! That crochet sweater is fantastic. I love that the little bear pops out of the stocking 😆 im going to be starting some color work hats that I’m going to be tweaking the design slightly. We’ll see how that goes lol
For your Musselburgh, since you’re using a yarn that doesn’t have the typical 400ish yards for 100g, I’d highly recommend weighing as you go. Once you get to about 52 grams, place a marker as your “halfway” point, and then measure how many inches you’ve knit since your last increase. Knit the same number of inches from your halfway marker, and then start your decreases. In my experience, I can’t always get to her exact measurements in the pattern using only 100g. Edit: continued watching and saw you are weighing as you go 😂 Edit: with how much dye is coming off, throw a color catcher sheet in when you’re soaking it!
Your dress is looking gorgeous! And a 6mm needle? Wow it certainly is deceiving because it doesn’t look that big. Can’t wait yo see it finished. And I like your length plan.😊 also the hat pronounciation is not bra. This may be a German pronounciation, but Ysolda is Scottish. It is pronounced mussel-burra (quickly)or mussel-burreh in Scotland.
Thank you so much!!! Yes the bottom half is super squishy and knit up on a chunky needle! Certainly makes for a good time-sensitive project! Lol it seems never ending!! I’ll have to track down one of her videos where she says the word and get it right once and for all! Thank you for the help!!
I think fun is a great start to Christmas season - we all start getting harried with our shopping/wrapping etc., and lose what the Season is all about!! Enjoyed your ugly sweater - I think pretty cute!!🥳
Re the XMAS dress, I’d do the sleeves before finishing the honeycomb, so you can try it on, in case you don’t like the fit and need to make any adjustments.
So much to say about this video! Lets start with Ossie ... Love Reindeer intro Ossie and Mustache cable needle Ossie and Christmas hat wearing LOL just makes me giggle at your fun stickers you pop up! Love the colors of your Christmas sweater! I was feeling the itch to one day make one for myself .... without all the squares (hate seaming a bunch of squares LOL) .... I will be looking at patterns in my size after your video Cable needle: 1st lets start with a pro tip i seen regarding that ... I seen someone just put there cable needle threw one of her cables and just hung on her project till she needed it again! (that way you don't leave the house with is still in your collar😉) But as for me let me as my prefeed method let me start with .... i don't like knitting off the cable needle themself. I prefer to just place them back onto my knitting needle. So that being said, my most used and favorite "cable needle" is actually a plastic "Clover Jumbo Locking Stitch Markers" i NEVER close or lock them (I find when you do, they don't stay as wide open as when i fist got them) and use them like you would your fisherman hook needle and let then hold the stitches in its "elbow": until i need them and just pick it up by its "head" yank them up to place back on my needle... it is light weight and doesn't get in the way at all.
HHF yarns have always bled on my hands (and the first few washes). Also, I have made a lot of Musselburgh hats and I have found that its generally nice to use a needle size or so bigger than you would usually use for the yarn weight to do the hat. So for sock yarn I use a US 3, sport weight a US 5, DK a US 6 or 7, etc so if the yarn is feeling a bit too textured for you, you might put it on waste yarn and block what you have done and see if its going to be the fabric you want. I know you don't want to start over but better to know now than after its done. Because the fabric ends up doubled its nice if its a bit looser and has decent drape.
Having just heard you say that you like to learn things I just wanted to pop in to let you know that the ‘bra part’ of the dress is the bodice. The term is mainly used on sewing patterns 😊
Your crochet sweater is so funky and fun! For your orca bleeding yarn you might want to look up some tutorials for setting the dye better, my assumption is that it's probably an acid dye and it may have not attached to the fiber completely. As a warning it maybe bleed into the white portions, and you could set some scrap white yarn in to also absorb the colour as well, especially if you're worried about it potentially dyeing your bf's head when he wears it. I've only just started dabbling in fixing bleeding yarns so I cannot say for certain, but YT has lots of yarn dyers with tutorials. Best of luck!
For sure! Just know you're probably going to lose the white areas when you do it, but I think you said you wouldn't mind if those were more grey anyway?@@akaNoraKnits
Cocoknits has a tool that looks like a slap bracelet with a magnetic metal box attached to it. They also have a straight cable needle made from bamboo with a metal center or a metal mustache one that both stick onto the magnet box so you don’t lose it.
So funny-I literally use a bracelet just like that for doing updos! It holds my Bobby pins so I don’t have to continuously get them from a table! Never even thought of something like that for a cable needle. So smart!
I love this sweater!! It's supposed to be an ugly sweater but it's so freakin cute!! The little bear has to be one of my favorites 😂. Always love your videos!!❤❤
Just checking if you weighed your yarn before you started your hat? The ball yarn might have been over 100 grams. My last musselburgh used 8.3 Oz for the increases. Don't want you to run out😊
I really LOVE your Christmas cardigan! It‘s super cute and the little teddy! 🥺❤️ For the pronunciation of Musselburgh: Ysolda has a channel where she uses the name (I won’t go into detail since I don’t want to advertise on your channel). Let‘s just say, Burgh isn’t a German word and Burg is not pronounced Bra 😅 Mussel-burrrr or Mussel-burrow is more correct
Hand dyed yarn often leaves off color and it may be very murky when you wash it. It’s part of that handmade thing being perfectly imperfect.. I hope the dye does not wash out too much. I have been toying with the idea of making one of those hats too.
Totally makes sense! I know I always hear people talking about their preferences with the water rinsing clear after dying. I’m sure HHF knows about it maybe it’s even left that way on purpose!
I have a question on the basket weave. How do you keep the knit stitches changing to the purl stitches from having a gap? I have tried tugging the yarn on the first stitch of the change and still get the gap. I have ripped back 3 times. I’m making a baby blanket that uses the basket weave. I would like to finish it before the baby graduates high school
If it’s the same basket weave pattern, I’ve found that it helps to realllllyyyyyyy hold tight into the y/o, but I also think it’s just part of the pattern I have a little hole there!
I literally squealed with delight when you pulled the teddy bear out!! Sooooo cute!!!❤️
Omg it’s my favorite part! Thank you!!!
That bear.. LOL Killer sweater! And angry cookie.. LOL Awesome
The bear is my little pride and joy in this sweater! Thank you!!! 🥰
Hi Nora!! I love that you talked about the Musselburgh pronunciation. When people say it "Musselborough", it drives me absolutely insane for some reason lol
You are my hero! That Thanksgiving vest! That “ugly” Christmas sweater! That dress!!!! No words!
😂💛 I just like a good theme! Hahah
Thank you!!!! I firmly believe that every garment should come with a teddy bear pocket! 💛
Good job on the dress. I use a double pointed needle for my cabling and put the needle behind my ear when I’m not using it. Have I walked out of the house with it behind my ear? Yes, yes I have.
Hahahahaa see, we’ve all been there!
Lighting looks great. Don't change a thing. Love your happy energy. Merry Christmas.
Thank you so much!!! 🥰
Excited to see your finished dress? Have you tried cabling without a cable needle? Life changing!
Thank you!!! I actually thought this would be just the project to try that on! Unfortunately, the alpaca silk is just a little too slippery and then tricky to fuss with when the stitches slipped away. I’d be interested to try again in 100% wool
You look absolutely adorable. The sweater is amazing.

It seems like the perfect go-to for simple knitting! Thank you!!!
Yes do a full tour video of the sweater! THE sweater! ❤
Yes!!! I will get to it this week!!!
Loved this video! And lightning was perfect ✨😄
Thank you!!!!
that sweater!!!!! I love the kitchiness vibe and the vintage holiday colors make it so xtra!!! Goals!! You are going to be the most squished and felt up (hopefully in a good way) person at your parites with that honeycomb!! That stitch makes for a great baby or grown up blankie

Wow see! I am so glad I said something!!! I felt like the one I saw in the store was supperrrrrr beige! Mine is very stone grey! I feel lucky
Just love the sweater. I didn't know I needed it until now! 😅
And you do!!!! Thank you!
That sweater!! The best Christmas sweater ever and you have toys to play with at the ready! Dress is looking fantastic. Lighting and decor are very nice and feel super seasonal. Thanks for the Saturday "happy place" video!
Thank you!!!! I should just make a bunch of the bears and pass them out as I go 😂 thank you for the feedback and for hanging out!!
Lol I'm glad you're enjoying the honeycomb - I started a scarf with two big cables along the edge and then honeycomb and moss stitch ... Had to rip it out, I realized there was no way it was going to be a fun knit 😅

What goes perfectly with Saturday morning coffee? aka Nora Knits, of course! ❤ 🎄 🧶❤

Love the Christmas sweater. Also, I don't mind paying more for sock yarn.
Here and there, we deserve it!
I had the very same negative experience with the traditional cable needle style and totally agree with you about the fish hook style. It’s the only way to go for me!
🥸 < they’re just not for me! Lol
I love the hook cable needle!!!
I tried not to watch this episode yet as I'm working my way through past episodes and didn't want to spoil any new projects for myself 😂 but I couldn't resist.
Looooooove the crochet Christmas sweater!
I commented that like 3 minutes in. I really love the caramelo sweater, that's gorgeous.
Omg I love the excitement! Thank you!!!! 🥰
Love how your dress looks and your crocheted Christmas sweater is so sweet!

Your dress is looking FAB OMG!!! 😍😍
Thank you!!! I’m loving it!
ah Nora I like all but the intro was FAB!
Thank you!!! I had fun with this one ☺️
I love, love, love your sweater!
Thank you!!! 🥰
Your christmas sweater is ridiculous and I love it
It so is! Thank you!!!
I love that you knit amazing garments, but are using budget friendly yarn for most of it. ❤
I’ve always prided myself in taking affordable garments, and now yarn, and making them look expensive! I love that resonates with you!!
Color catching sheets!
I'm also a hook needle fan. I put mine under my watch band. It's great until I forget and have to use the bathroom. Lol. Oops. 😂😅
hahahahaha we've all been there 😂

YES!!!! Progress keepers and BOR markers please!
Omg PLEASE! I’ll be waiting by my email!!!!
Love the cable hook needle. There are slightly smaller ones and you can use it as a shawl pin 🙃
Oooh we love a multi-use tool!
Yaaas we love a red lip! Can't wait to see how the cardigan and dress turn out!
Thank you!!! 🥰
Worldknits calculator; increases and decreases calculator. 😀
You are so welcome! I look forward to seeing your completed Musselburgh hat. Your Christmas dress is looking so good!
🥰🥰🥰 so generous! It will keep my hands happy for many many projects, I already know it! And thank you! I really am loving it!
LOVE,LOVE, LOVE the XMas sweater. You absolutely light up the screen and I look forward to your videos every week. Mel from NZ x
Thank you so so much, Mel! 🥰
The Christmas sweater is ICONIC ❤ and love the new background-you are amazing! 😊
Thank you so so much! 🥰
Your Christmas knitting is so adventurous and your progress is amazing! I like the way you track the project time on the calendar too. It is a highlight of the week to watch your videos and feel your enthusiasm and honesty!
Thank you!!! I am using a “count up” app now to help keep track of progress! I hope it is helpful!
You might want to buy a neck light before you start on the black sweater. Good luck knitting black in winter. 🤪
The way you present your projects and their story behind brings so much joy !❤❤❤
Yayyy! I’m so glad! Thank you!
I agree and love the u ( fishing;) cable hooks the best too and they do come in a variety of sizes
They’re my favorite!
LOVE your channel soo much! My favorite cable needles are the lantern moon cable needles
Thank you so much!!!
I tried the same ones. I like the fishing hook better. I had the same issue…I’m not the only one!!!!!
It’s feels so good to not be alone! I’ll try and post some of the recommendations I’m getting here on my IG stories this week!!!
Of course a dpn may get lost in the couch like the "mustache" one did for you.😅
I feel like this would be great in a pinch! But I’d definitely lose it 😂
Favorite cable needle: look up the Flox multi tool made by Floops stitch markers!
I shall!!! Thank you!
OMG your Christmas sweater!! Amazing! Love how your Christmas dress is coming along. Almost makes me want to knit something in bright red (never worn anything proper red in my life). I like to have one small project for travel, one project that's too big to travel with, but is fairly simple, and one complicated project. I have two extras right now, but that's only because I picked up something at the shop that I was too excited not to cast on, and I have a constant work in progress of sock yarn mice for my kitties. But I find if I let myself cast on too many things, nothing gets finished or everything takes forever!
Everything gets so overwhelming! Too many WIPS, too much yarn staring at me wanting to be knit up! It’s tricky to keep a balance!
What a darling opening... I love all the 'I am Nora' openings. You are so very clever and looking very beautiful today, too. That sweater is amazing and made up by you. What talent!! Great video.. sending love, hugs, prayers.
Thank you so so so much! 🥰
Girl!!!! Your Christmas sweater is genius!!!!! I love it! So fun
Thank you!!!! I love it so much!
Thank you so much! I literally have been living it since Thanksgiving 😅 such great advice! Thank you!
OMG I love your crochet ugly sweater! That would be such a fun advent project! All of your WIPs are beautiful, too! ❤
Oooh it definitely would be! Thank you so much!!!
I assumed they had just changed the product, but now I’m so curious and need to do some detective work with you 😆
Idk how we all became yarn detectives but I’m not mad about it! So weird, right?!
You should try a spiral cable needle they work great, the only issue is you have to put your stitches back on the needle to knit.
Yes! I’d definitely be curious to try it!
Love the crochet sweater and over hair and vintage
Y vibe! Very fun ❤❤❤❤
Thank you!!!! 🥰
Great intro 🎉🎉🎉🎉…. 👍👍podcast 🏆
Thank you so much!
@@akaNoraKnits I send you a DM on Instagram regarding the cable needle
Your Holiday sweater is a hoot! You are so creative. Your podcasts are so enjoyable! Happy Holidays!
Thank you so so much! 🥰
Such great advice! Thank you so much!!!
How cute is your sweater?!! Those granny squares are adorable
Thank you!!! I think it is the cutest ugly sweater ever!
Ahhh so good to know! Thank you so much!
Your crochet sweater is so clever with the 3-dimensional aspects! And you are tackling such projects for being a relatively new knitter. Enjoying watching your projects come alive!
Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
Adorable sweater!! Maybe you can do a special crochet episode showing us your awesome crochet projects!
Good idea!!!! Thank you!
Hi! I love knitting to your videos on Saturday mornings! I'm actually working on my fifth Musselburgh while you were chatting about yours! I totally agree that the increases seem to take forever! I do find that I fly through the decreases on the other end though! Happy knitting!
I’m so glad I’m not alone! Thanks for hanging out with me 🥰
Love your podcast, wondered if you could cable without the cable needle. Might be faster, tutorial on RUclips.
It’s so funny to me when I’m editing and I can tell I didn’t get enough sleep the night before 😂
Love your Winter/Holiday opening!! Your crochet Christmas sweater is so cute! Your progress on all your WIPs is really amazing! 🎉
Thank you so so much!!! 🥰
Your Christmas dress is worthy of a red slip underneath it. I remember your concern about the skirt possibly not being modest enough. Do you still feel that way? Or do you feel better as you’re progressing? Stunning work. 🎉
Thank you! I definitely do think it needs a slip of sorts! I have a nude slip skirt that I’ll try under it first, but red may be the way to go!
Very festive! That crochet sweater is fantastic. I love that the little bear pops out of the stocking 😆 im going to be starting some color work hats that I’m going to be tweaking the design slightly. We’ll see how that goes lol
Thank you!!! It’s my favorite part 🥰 good luck!!!!
Loving the festive intro 🎄
Thank you!!!
Lovely Christnas Sweater! As for cables, I prefer a wooden dpn ;o)
Thank you! Brilliant! I think that’s a great idea!
Edit: continued watching and saw you are weighing as you go 😂
Edit: with how much dye is coming off, throw a color catcher sheet in when you’re soaking it!
I appreciate the tip!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much!!! I’m always here for a little fun!
Re the XMAS dress, I’d do the sleeves before finishing the honeycomb, so you can try it on, in case you don’t like the fit and need to make any adjustments.
Yes so so smart! Thank you!
I will be looking at patterns in my size after your video
Cable needle: 1st lets start with a pro tip i seen regarding that ...
Thank you! She’s the cutest 🥰 I have never even tried to put my stitches back on the needles! It sounds like I need to give this a try!
Soooooo helpful! Thank you so much!
Having just heard you say that you like to learn things I just wanted to pop in to let you know that the ‘bra part’ of the dress is the bodice. The term is mainly used on sewing patterns 😊
OMG! The fact that this word did not come to brain has me cracking up! It’s so funny how we compartmentalize in our minds! Thank you!!!
You are such a fun person. I love your videos so much. So glad I found your channel! Your crochet Christmas sweater is just perfect 😄🎄
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
I love your Christmas sweater 😍 now I need one for myself 😁 (and I love the Detail that your sweater and lipstiick match ♥️)
Thank you for noticing! 🥹 you do need one! 😉
Great advice! Thank you! I definitely don’t want it to be a problem when he wears it!
For sure! Just know you're probably going to lose the white areas when you do it, but I think you said you wouldn't mind if those were more grey anyway?@@akaNoraKnits
Me and all homies love to do the correct math with the wrong numbers. Haha. What a mood.
Better than wrong math!!
Thank you so much!!! I think it’s adorably ugly!
👍
Bodice
😉
Just checking if you weighed your yarn before you started your hat? The ball yarn might have been over 100 grams. My last musselburgh used 8.3 Oz for the increases. Don't want you to run out😊
Oh noooo! You are right-I totally didn’t! Hahahaha. I will leave a buffer!
I really LOVE your Christmas cardigan! It‘s super cute and the little teddy! 🥺❤️
For the pronunciation of Musselburgh: Ysolda has a channel where she uses the name (I won’t go into detail since I don’t want to advertise on your channel). Let‘s just say, Burgh isn’t a German word and Burg is not pronounced Bra 😅 Mussel-burrrr or Mussel-burrow is more correct
Thank you! The teddy is the best part! Funny I figured I should go deep dive into her channel for her pronunciation!
