You know the devs want to fuck you up when they put Cecil's staff roll/travelling through time song right next to Little Princess's theme. Both are outstanding and emotional. Also Cecil's staff roll song is (very likely) a reference to a piece of music in a Professor Layton game! To be more specific, the puzzle music in the last part of the orginal trilogy, Unwound Future. They both are about time traveling, and have very similar tunes in the first 1/3 of the song.

The music 😢 but if choose 'go back' still heartbreaking but happy at the same time seeing how much little princess care for the knight 😭 This game is the only game that crush my heart it so good
'Go back' is almost worse because that little princess that you left behind those years ago, now future princess, you now left again but this time you will never see each other again 😢
