- A quick unboxing video of the new LEGO MINDSTORMS Roboti Inventor set #51515,
the retail equivalent of LEGO Education SPIKE Prime.
I would like to thank The LEGO Group for providing me this set in advance. - Наука
the gods at youtube dont consider this video for kids
Nice look at what’s inside, I’ll stick to my Ev3 sets.
Wow! You are so lucky! I wanna join the lego ambassador network someday too! I love this set and thank you very much for this awesome video
@@profBricks how did you get this set?
Nice work Danielle!
I am keen to get this set. Have you seen the coding app?
Ich liebe Mindstorms.
How are you doing that sorting on the box lid at the end? It looks like a magic trick...
psst... he sorts the parts, then shakes them all together and just reverses the footage for the video
- Disty - I’m not going to delete my comment but boy do I want to.
3:05 "It even has some juice!"
Thanks for the video! Very interested to see some reviews on this one.
I personally own the NXT 1.0, NXT 2.0, and the EV3 - which I bought during lockdown. Love every one of them and just purchased a bunch of new books to build more stuff! While the EV3 was a great upgrade over the NXT, I'm honestly quite disappointed with this one. No interchangeable cables, backwards compatibility, dot matrix display, or daisy chaining. Python support is really the only thing that excites me sadly.
@mike sprigg Least with the robots on the box I’d have to agree, but after spending some more time learning about this one I’m actually quite excited - especially now that they’ve finally added some coding. Always been a huge fan of Mindstorms and very excited to try something new. Both the NXT and EV3 were excellent.
Already installed the programming software and seems really good so far. For someone like me with zero coding experience, the execution of Python and all the little guides is very approachable!
@mike sprigg Definitely! The NXT was amazing, I’ve got one 1.0 and 2.0. Just love them both! I’d also love to try out a more advanced building set, but LEGO is just amazing.
I found that my Mindstorms 51515 hub scratches very easily: the plastic of the front of the hub seems to be very soft and can be easily scratched with a finger nail - which is not typical of any Lego part or previous versions of Mindstorms (I have NXT and EV3).
Has anyone faced that, or maybe I got a hub with some defect?
Dude, i have the same exact probleme
👍👌
I bought one, it’s so cool.
Did it come realy with a lego land ticket?
what a wise once man said: I want to make a toy…
The one criticism I have of top end Lego products, is the type of packaging. Instead of providing plastic bags to pack bricks, why not provide modular trays that can be reused? After all you're being charged over £300
Can this original box be repurposed as a two sorting trays? Nice video!
Yes it can, but there is no walls to avoidmixing pieces :/
monsterbricks Thanks for the information! I have been thinking awhile on how to store these tiny cute pieces.
just 1 question denial is it better then ev3 31313???
siddiq the real question is, is this set better than the NXT? EV3 is bad
@mike sprigg I completely disagree! New kit has absolute positioning motors, internal 3 axis gyro on the hub, compatibility with any powered up motors, making it much easier to create technic creations, with highy advanced mechanisms, and much more! New system also doesnt have the god awful start up time of the EV3. EV3 is also outdated, featuring 2013 technology! That's like using the iphone 5S in 2020
mike sprigg well, since this is a 3 axis gyro, I don’t really know of any cases where an external one would be more helpful. Keep in mind previously we had to use 3 external gyro sensors to achieve a 3 axis gyro functionality, and it would take up 3 ports out of 4 ports, since the gyro sensor was only on one axis. Also absolute positioning is not possible unless you use a touch sensor to calibrate it, so therefore we don’t need to use external gyros or external touch sensors anymore! Plus, if you really enjoy creating technic mechanisms, then guess what, the new 51515 system actually supports every single powered up motor! Powered up motors are much better for technic creations than the bulky ones we had before!
mike sprigg yes I agree it might be a bit problematic for bigger and larger builds. I can think of one use case, where you’ve built an excavator and you need to have gyros on the arm of the excavator. Though honestly I have no doubt that we will see third party splitters and external gyros in the future for the new system!
mike sprigg no apologies needed, since I also like debating. As long as the debate is civil I don’t think there’s a need to apologize. I think the new system does allow for splitters since it has 6 wires just like the NXT cables. It’s not like the new system has less wires
Price pl.
0:30 that’s not a serrated knife, you don’t need to saw it back and forth
5:03 Did you play the video backwards there?
@@profBricks *Posterity intensifies*
well the set is retired, so no further interest i guess.
Хочу))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Stop. Is it only for IPhone and IPad?!
@@profBricks What about Windows 7?
@@profBricks ok
