0:28 That's Commander Lobov - the scout recruit who transferred from the Garrison to the Survey Corp who died in Season 4 defending the airship after the attack on Liberio. He was killed by Gabi. So epic how AoT managed to sneak in these small details!
Pyix's speech reminds me so much of Tyrion's speech in the Battle of the Blackwater. It's simultaneously cynical as all hell, as well as damned inspiring. He doesn't sugarcoat the odds. He doesn't glorify what needs to be done. He gives it to the soldiers like it is, tells them what they need to hear, when they need to hear it.
this speech is much better in terms of motivation than Erwin's. Old man simply made it clear to everyone what they should fight for and what exactly would happen if they didn't. Erwin come with some kind of philosophical speech about the meaning of life
Different audiences, I think. Most of soldiers here are the Garrisons and trainees who fight because they have to. They're usually not even the top ten in the class, just usual citizen with soldier training. As long as someone have something to protect, they'll stand up for it. The Scouts are, well, people who are dedicating themselves for knowledge of the world, ofc they would be more ready with death. What motivates them should be more than "surviving", they are the hope for humanity advancement, after all. Even so, Erwin's last speech was pretty much the same as Pixis here. Honest that they're going to face hell, honest that it wouldn't matter if someone among the soldiers were to turn back, and reminds them of what their death would mean.
I honestly think, the true success of Wit was their music director and how liberal they were with AOT's amazing score. MAPPA has been rather conservative with the music, only using it in crucial moments, but WIT uses the score almost constantly, heavily infusing scenes like this with bombastic soundtracks.
Even when old, Commander Pixis was so broadminded. He even was able to sell Eren as a top-secret-titan-weapon just within hours after meeting him. I mean he was the first of the commander level person to work with Eren and get things done by him. Makes him so cool. Wish we could see more of him.
Pixis' speech hits harder after Episode 78. Who knew then that this speech would lay down the Scouts' philosophy for the next 9 years of the series. Edit: RIP Pixis :'(
The thing that I loved about the first season of aot is that u could feel exactly what the soldiers were feeling. Honestly aot for me is just a masterpiece as a whole

Code geass is waving.
@@JstJaybeingJay fmb was good but aot is just more enjoyable
2:15 The soldiers are like "He does realize he's like, 200ft up now, right?"
"Nope, he has absolutely no idea"

POV: u came back here after ep 81
R. I. P GENERAL PIXIS
I find Attack On Titan better than Game of Thrones - when it comes to the story and music.
Battle Of Trost, the most incredible event in the history of Anime.
And battle of shigenshina
The writing of this anime was one of the best I've ever seen.
this speech is much better in terms of motivation than Erwin's.
4:24 いやイケメンやないかい!
pixie and erwin where the only ones that could literally order people to die and they would obey
As much as I love MAPPA for what they’re doing, Wit’s scenes such as this one cannot be beat.
Wits lighting is the key
The skies makes you fly on wit. Mappa could not even replicate that . Makes me sad
I honestly think, the true success of Wit was their music director and how liberal they were with AOT's amazing score. MAPPA has been rather conservative with the music, only using it in crucial moments, but WIT uses the score almost constantly, heavily infusing scenes like this with bombastic soundtracks.
Idc both mappa and wit were absolute crazy good.
i prefer the way mappa animates the facial expressions on characters
Rip Dazz, you deserved better.
He wasn't a coward if he decided to join yeagerists
There can be no courage without fear
Everyone talks about erwin's last speech and how epic it was ( i completely agree no arguments on that ) but this speech was also incredible
the fact that he didn't need speakers to be heard from atop the wall
he *is* the speaker
"we are not disposables!!"
Erwin danchou : Thats a weird thing to say.
His speech gives me shivers. He mind fucks EVERYONE. A true leader.
8:23 how it feels when I stub my toe on the couch :_(
zygo0 I just jump around for about 30 seconds screaming nothing but: FUCK FUCK FUCK FUUUUUUUUUUUCK
zygo0 XD
This comment had me dead 😂😂
Even when old, Commander Pixis was so broadminded.
He even was able to sell Eren as a top-secret-titan-weapon just within hours after meeting him.
I mean he was the first of the commander level person to work with Eren and get things done by him.
Makes him so cool. Wish we could see more of him.
He dies
Pixis' speech hits harder after Episode 78. Who knew then that this speech would lay down the Scouts' philosophy for the next 9 years of the series.
Edit: RIP Pixis :'(
6:01「人類が滅ぶのなら、それは巨人に食いつくされるのが原因ではない。人間同士の殺し合いで滅ぶ。」
Always gave me goosebumps no matter how many time I watch it
The thing that I loved about the first season of aot is that u could feel exactly what the soldiers were feeling. Honestly aot for me is just a masterpiece as a whole
Armin's speech before this also epic to me. That's where I love Armin.
That's 'cause he ain't prettying it up or lying to them. He's saying, "This is a dangerous mission, and any one of you could die in it. You can run if you don't want to, but if you give up and leave to see your family, EVERYONE will fall to the Titans, including your loved ones. Are they not worth dieing for?"
4:22 is it just me or is that Titan beautiful
Aah forbidden love here
epic speech, and epic grappling into transformation into the Rogue Titan
" He is the product of successful top-secret Titan transformation research "
- Hits different now
この辺のエレンが巨人になれることがわかったあたりから、記憶消してもう1回見たい
I imagined Pixie's speech lasting for 8 minutes and 52 seconds. With the epic music and all dragging on and on for half the episode
