Thank you. I used rub n buff on a custom He-Man I am working on for certain areas pretty much like what you did and they came out great! 👍 excellent work.
Just recently started picking up He Man Masterverse figures since they're super cheap at the moment. I'm working on making customs of Conan the Barbarian, Tarzan, and Hercules. Glad I found this video because I feel the weapons and the armor are kinda dull. I must try this rub and buff stuff.
Im not a big He man fan but i do remember the cartoons and how the original figures looked... They were horrible looking however these figures look like they leaped out of a Boris Vallejo painting ,just a amazing looking figures. The gold and silver paste you added really enhance the figures making them look like high-end figures from Hot Toys. Man you really out do yourself with each project you under take and this one was no exception. I'm definitely going to keep my eyes out for that rub and buff paste since there's one near by which I'm always shopping in. Once again thanks for sharing your video with us here on RUclips they really are entertaining and highly informative.
Just exactly what I was looking for; I'm planning to customize a Masterverse He-ro which has that horrible thing that Mattel gives us as "gold". Thank you very much, and great channel, you've got a new subscriber!
This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Something to make the flat plastic armor pieces pop. Thank you! Going to be ordering some of this paste now haha I was playing with black wash last night and it just wasn't giving me what I wanted, this is what I needed. :)
Great video! Just FYI for any future comment readers, the New Eternia “Viking” He-Man’s harness can be easily removed by sliding it carefully down over his hips and legs, no need to heat it and stretch it over its head.
@@InkDropCustoms The shoulder pads on the viking He-Man actually come right off the harness too so you wouldn't have needed to mask the figure to apply the pigment. Love your customs man. You do excellent work👍
This is excellent, do you have a list of all the paints you used for the skin tones? It looks incredible. When I click the affiliate link it takes me to a 5 pack of metallic pants.
Wow, I’m sold on the buff and rub now. I’m going to pick up some this weekend for my MOTU figures I’ve been slowly customizing. Question: You said you did get a Battlecat, have you had much luck dismantling it? I have three. One for detailing, one for turning into Panthor, and one for turning into Snowmeow from Thundercats. I haven’t seen a video yet that shows anyone taking it apart. I’m thinking of doing some kind of brush on primer or airbrushed version before leading with my chosen colors.
can these figures be taken apart with heat (hair dryer). at the elbow area and at the knee area??? . I want to customize my clawfull masterverse figure give him 2 big claws at the hands area.
How does your body paint / tinting stand up to posing, ie does it rub with big arm poses? I want to paint his skin less yellow, but I also love posing especially around the shoulder and arm areas, and I'm worried about paint rubbing off on the shoulder balls and chest/torso junction.
Youll have to sand any areas are jointed…. The chest harness will rub the paint…..as with most customized figures its no longer a toy,,,, but a show piece
This is what I do with some Masterverse figures, the paint applications in them, are sometimes awful . Please do the paint on He-Ro, that figure is mustard where it should be pure gold.

The three figures on the turntable reminds me of that's Sega game from years ago called Legendary Axe. "Choose your player "

Vallejo Premium paint… blue, red, yellow, white
I now use inks…same colors..
@@InkDropCustomsmetallic or opaque, is all I could find on amazon.
I wonder if you could do a blend of Teela using superwoman McFarlane base. The base on that toy is amazing
Excellent idea! I’ll have to work on that once I’m caught up

@@InkDropCustoms most definitely I just found this channel today and is truly inspiring !
Awesome, welcome to the channel

what would you use to seal the rub n buff?
I’m using Liquitex matte varnish there is also a gloss
You can also use Tamiya x-22 or even a UV resin

Mine is still in box….
I haven’t tried to disassemble it… I haven’t found any how to videos either… just been busy with other customs…

I haven’t taken them that far…if it has pins it should come apart…. These just like ML really tough to pull apart
Can you apply washes on top of the Rub & Buff or would you want to seal it first?
I suggest sealant first…its could have a bad reaction with other paints..
@@InkDropCustoms thank you!
I did my viking he-man in gold also but i did his helmet too
Nice
Lots of possibilities with those figures
