Wisconsin needs new judges, new politicians and new laws. How on earth can the Courts release a man who is so desperately suffering from mental health issues to wreak havoc on the general public? The judge who did this needs to start thinking of another career.
I have my doubts it's mental health issues, if it is it's clearly been due to drug abuse like meth psychosis. I have a cousin, also named Jason funny enough who is, well he was a major meth head and he'd get like this guy just far out crazy. We all feared we'd find him dead, finally the police locked him up and he's in prison today and we're grateful he's there as at least he'll be clean and won't be found dead by the side of the road from overdose or from breaking in on someone, or dealing with the wrong drug dealers. Looked and sounded like meth psychosis which isn't to me mental health as much as just get off the freaking drugs and be a normal person.
Yeah this man did not need a signature bond, he needed professional help & not freedom to run amok. In the 60s they used to put people into mental hospitals too easily & when all the abuse was exposed the whiplash made it to where its almost impossible to be put in one unless you kill someone first. The reason being is that you have to ADMIT YOURSELF there saying you have issues but crazy people don't know that they're crazy. Hence they're just free running around. Trust me id know more than anyone, my mother was crazy & I don't mean it in the "she's a little quirky" way. I'm talking about the same s***, fleeing the hospital in a hospital gown, having cops come to my house over 100 times in her lifetime. She was baker acted like 20 times & they almost always let her out the next day despite her trying to literally cut invisible bugs out of herself. Me & my father were dumbfounded & helpless to do anything because you can't someone help if they don't volunteer. We were let down by the system. One time cops almost arrested my dad because my mother randomly started screaming, "HELPPP R_______" out the window. One cop told him he was going to go away forever until other cops arrived on scene & scolded that cop for not looking into her history of false 911 calls & told him to, "get that man out of those cuffs immediately". She was literally released from being baker acted THAT VERY DAY & they were on the way back from the hospital. She was cleared to go as healthy minded 20 minutes earlier. Unbelievable, I couldnt make this up if I tried
This man needs to be institutionalized and get serious help, he is dangerous to everyone, including himself, and shouldn't be out on the street. Imagine what would have happened if the homeowners had gotten into an altercation with him.

He knows it's his time. All the years of training was for moments like this. He doesn't do it for the glory or the money. It's all for the satisfaction of a job well done & probably some treats.
This man should be a ward of the state, if he isn't already. He clearly needs help, and releasing him is dangerous for both him and the community. I hope he's getting whatever help he needs.
HAHAHAH THIS PEICE OF SHIT GOT WHAT WAS COMING TO HIM. YOU DONT MESS WITH THE BOYS IN BLUE!!!!!!!!! I SAY YOU TAKE HIM OUT AND PEPPER SPRAY HIS ASS SOME MORE, TEACH HIM A LESSON
I don't understand the people in the comments saying he didn't want to hurt anyone. The fact is that whether due to ongoing psych issues or substances or a combo, his behavior was irrational, paranoid, and unpredictable. We have no idea what someone in that condition is capable of. Society is safer if he's off the streets until the time he can be fully rehabbed/ treated.
agreed, there is no telling how he would have reacted if cornered or whether he would lash out. people in psychosis rarely have any clue to what they are doing. the issue is the hospitals keep letting him out. the police are obvs familiar with him, so im so saddened he keeps ending up on the streets with no kind of care. not even a government employed social worker who will keep tabs on him.
These are some of the most patient, and kindest officers I have ever seen. They even gave him water. If I was a criminal, I would actually love to peacefully surrender to such kind officers.
As a mental health professional I can say these officers actually handled this really well. They could have been a lot more agressive with him, but they used only the force that was totally necessary to keep Jason safe. It's tough when someone is in psychosis and dettached from reality, they can't really reason with you or be reasoned with, so typical communication doesn't work.
@@angelacavanaugh2761 You're comparing apples and oranges, mental illness is a large umbrella and yours does not and never will be in the same category as many, many others.
As someone who has experienced psychosis myself, it feels like your skin is crawling off of you and there's people around you that you cant see and all your tethers to reality have completely snapped. Wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy, so I'm empathetic to anyone who experiences it and doesn't have anyone to contact and talk with and get a reality check. Will forever thank sam for calling me to talk me back into reality!
It's about making money off his crimes, if they release him on a 2500 bond they might get that money. Putting him in a hospital would cost money the same as keeping him in jail. This is why even child molesters and murderers, rapists and violent offenders keep getting let out. Our system is designed to keep allowing these people back out to commit more crimes so the court can tack on more fees. If it was really about punishing the guilty, they would never get out after the first time they committed a crime. That's why you see people with criminal histories dating back decades with 100s of crimes to their names. A thousand years ago they wouldn't have had the resources to waste on these scum, so they handled the problem permanently.
Just one more example for the argument that mental healthcare reform is desperately needed in our country. The police deal with situations like this far too often and it ends up being a revolving door for the mentally ill - apprehend and arrest a subject, incarcerate subject, subject gets out, subject repeats behavior. Of course, this cycle is accurate for both the mentally ill and the legitimate criminal but the mentally ill need treatment not incarceration (most of the time).
It's so crazy how dichotomous La Crosse is. Every interaction contains the most courteous and patient officers I've ever seen on body cam, coupled with the most ridiculous of criminals.
"Midwest nice" is the best way I can explain the cops, for the criminals, well, that's the drug issues in La Crosse and its adjacent city, Onalaska. In Holmen we just have a lot of weed.
The bond between an officer and his dog is special. My friend was a part of the canine unit and when his dog passed away, he slipped into a deep depression. He lost his best friend. It took him a long time to get past that loss.
Most dog owners feel a special bond with their good boys. I do agree that a working relationship is a different bond, however. But most of us pet owners feel like they are part of the family. I still think about my boy Barney, who passed away 30 years ago. I've had pets since him but he was my special guy. The coolest little dude ever. Smart and lovable. Whenever he was out walking around, every neighbor just had to come give him pets and treats. He was a star around town. 😆 🤣 RIP Barney boy. Wisconsin needs new judges, new politicians and new laws. How on earth can the Courts release a man who is so desperately suffering from mental health issues to wreak havoc on the general public? The judge who did this needs to start thinking of another career.
They let them go because they have “ rights” but good citizens don’t
Judge didn’t release him… police have to because of politicians

I was thinking the same
Psychotic, pure and simple. Also, potentially extremely dangerous. So they let him out! WTF!
Thats our gov. closing a lot of institutions. Unless you kill someone.

Hands off to all these great officers who remained calm and patient. YALL showed a great example of what it means to be professional. I wish they showed these videos on the news.
*Hats off
I just have to say that I've watched almost all of the videos on this channel, and the LaCrosse PD are some of the most patient, kind police officers I've ever seen. The amount of crap you deal with from these people is unbelievable & admirable tbh. I'm from Indiana (the Michiana area), and our officers would never be so kind & patient these criminals you deal with.
Please stay safe and thank you for your service! 💙 🤍 🖤
Police are always patient and kindhearted when it comes to dealing with white criminal thugs.
Hey! Also in the Michiana area! You’re so right!
yes! i was driving to my sisters house and i saw the la crosse pd give some kids some popsicles on a 90° day! it was adorable
Also gotta love the officer baby talking his K-9. Good boy, Loki.
Ayyy a fellow michigander
I love how eager K9 officers are to do their job.
K9 be like: can i bite him yet!?
Dogs want to bite.
Not. Not all dogs want to bite. But MOST dogs DO love having a sense of purpose and making their owner/handler happy
Some dogs are naturally really excited about learning new things because of intelligence and high energy. They love to be interactive with their owners, who are their officer partners. It’s not about the joy of biting or hurting or doing any of the tasks in particular, it’s about doing it correctly and receiving praise for that.

Cops should record it to their phones for when they don't have a K-9 available. A few weeks ago cops got kids to come out of a ravine when one bright cop threatened to send in a K-9 they didn't have and then started barking like a dog. Cracked me up. So basically after this guy harassed 10 people for a couple of hours, attacked officers and a K9, ran from police and got charged with 10 different crimes, all he had to do was a sign a paper saying that he swears he will come to court in a few months and he was free. Amazing justice system.
LOL that’s how this system works. This man either is on drugs or it’s a mental health issue. I’ve seen people act like this on drugs and someone else said they have too

Of course they were, it was a white criminal thug they were dealing with. White criminal thugs get all of the TLC in the world.
I’ve watched a lot of these. I’ve noticed the cops seem to get used to the same people in town with mental illness and deal kindly with them. They also seem to quickly recognize it in others. It’s much appreciated.

@Anthony Camaratta no they were canceled because they deliberately hid police misconduct and deleted video that would have been evidence. I highly suggest you look into Cops, a lot of it was basically police stalking people for views. Weird History and Vox have some videos covering this.
Cops & live PD never showed even a single footage of police abuse and brutality. So of course people did not find it relatable to real life cop situations.

You are joking aren't you, the two cops had the chance to pull him out but wanted him to come out backwards, pathetic policing
Every time one of these repeat offenders who was released by a brain-dead judge gets into a situation like this, the cops should go to the house of the judge and pick him up and bring him to the site and make him stay there until everything is resolved. drug induced 'mental health issues' - are not mental health issues.
Unfortunately he's also committed a lot of crimes and harmed a LOT of people, including children. He should be in a mental institution, not on the street.
It's not mental health its spiritual y'all need to turn to Jesus Christ and wake up to the spiritual warfare we are in these people's behavior as a manifestation of the devil and demons and being spiritually dirty people of God people of Peace people have wisdom do not behave like this. These people are behaving madly and bizarre and sinfully selfish because they're not in their god-given mind if you truly cared for these troubled souls you would be crying out to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and mercy. Hate and darkness when you reject God when a nation rejects God you get the enemy's results that's why all this crime and violence madness immoral people in government guys claiming to be women illegal activity at the border is happening because there are rebellious people in America in government in the schools in unholy world in the media.. only Jesus Christ can save your souls and open your spiritual eyes to what is happening

Officer Good-Boy was trying to say “Come Out with your Hands Up” too. Very good dog. His little “awoos” were so precious, as if trying to copy what his human partner was saying.
Unbelievable he gets a signature bond when he's doing stuff like this. He is clearly not well in the head, and needs to be checked into a mental institute before he hurts himself and others. He is a threat to society, and the fact that he can resist police officers and bail jump this many times, and they still give him a signature bond is ridiculous.
well from their point of view it all about the money. They made $2,500.-from Jason's strawman account. If they let him lose, it's more money in the bank for the system as most likely it's not the first, nor the last incident of Jason's. Our wonderful system is relying of mental illness, drugs, criminals. If they don't have enough, they just create more chaos to be able to pull more money from the strawman accounts.
People need to wake up and learn the true nature of our world
I agree 💯. I believe this is the systems way of not locking up the people with mental health issues. It doesn't help anyone though. 😢

"Oh, I wish I had known, we could've done something sooner."-says my aunt, who lives 3 states away. Meanwhile I'm literally, picking up my grandfather's bum off the ground a few times a week. Thinking to myself, this is not a grandson's job. "Oh, we don't wanna put him in a hospice, somewhere 'safe, he'd be all alone" Yes, instead let's just keep him, in the death trap that is his home. He's prone to falling, and there are 7 staircases present in home.
Yet, the whole family was completely dumbfounded he died from falling down the stairs from the kitchen to living room.
I dunno, perhaps not the "same" here as it's mental other than physical, but I think it still applies. If it wasn't clear, gramps, didn't want anyone's help. Even when he was shivering, naked in the tub at 5am...84 yrs old, mind you. "Just gib me 2 minutes" he says.
And even if they did institutionalize him he’d come out even crazier. Genuinely never met anyone who’s been to a ward and said it helped them.
