    Thank you for the tutorial. Doing this for my Nephew's graduation party. For the backdrop, I think I'll try getting a fabric shower curtain, then I can just zip tie it to the frame.

    Great video. Thanks for highlighting how the iPad connects to the ring light. Just wanted to clarify, are you using the iPad’s front or back facing camera to take the photos?

    • @brittanyvonarx1876
      @brittanyvonarx1876  3 года назад +1

      Hey thanks for asking! I used its front facing camera. The photo quality isn’t the best, but this is the only way that people can see themselves on the display to take the pic. If you have a newer model of the iPad the photo quality might be better if it has an upgraded selfie cam

    Will guests be able to immediately see the photos they just took? Do the guests use a remote shutter? Do they need to type their email into your iPad? How do the guests know what to do to activate their photo session if there's not an attendant?

    • @brittanyvonarx1876
      @brittanyvonarx1876  2 года назад +2

      Guests will walk up to the iPad and press “take a photo”. It will automatically print then through a photo session just like your typical photobooth would. After all of the photos have been taken it will prompt to input a phone number or email (you can decide this in settings) and they will get it sent to them. If the iPad is connected to Wi-Fi during the event, guests will get the photos immediately. Otherwise the iPad will store the photos in a queue until it is connected to Wi-Fi sometime after the event is over.

      Hi there, the newer ring light has a screw on mount in the center of the light that you can attach any adaptors to. You just screw on the iPad mount to that spot and you should be good to go!

      I mentioned in my video that we only did digital photo sharing. So I never needed a printer. That’s an optional add on for those who want it, but I’ve found that most events people don’t feel the need to print when they can just text the photos to themselves which makes things easier!

    So it looks like in the video you use 1” pvc pipe but in the blueprint you say to use 1.25” pvc pipe. Which one do you think is better to hold up fabrics and just have an overall better build and stability?

    • @brittanyvonarx1876

      Do the 1.25”, especially if you have a denser fabric. Can’t go wrong!

  • @freshness696
    @freshness696 4 года назад

    So you say 4 angle connectors and 2 T connectors but you were wrong right? I just got home and now I have to run back to Home Depot to buy two more T connectors correct? And those two extra T connectors are needed when you cut off the foot from the 7 foot pipes correct? That part wasn’t very clear.

    • @brittanyvonarx1876
      @brittanyvonarx1876  4 года назад

      So sorry if this was confusing! I followed the dimensions on the graphic that I posted on the screen for measurements at about 3:20 into the video. Those dimensions are 6ft pipe on top & bottom, and 7ft pipe on the sides. You will have to cut the 7ft pipes in order to attach the T-connectors so that the bottom pipe isn’t sitting on the ground. (Maybe this is where the cutting was confusing?) You will do this same thing with the small 3ft legs. I cut those in half to attach the T-connector in the middle for the 7ft pipes to go into. I hope you were able to put it together!
      Edit: I went back and re-read my video description box and realized that I listed 4 90 degree connectors and 2 t-connectors. This should be reversed. I went and changed this. So sorry. Thank you for bringing it to my attention

    I like the idea. But you didn't add the 20 dollar lumabooth subscription and for an extra 60 bucks (depending on area) you can get an actual professional come and do all this for you hassle free and you can possibly get print outs for the guests.
