Wanted to let you know thank you so much for the info in your video. I watched it several times after my research of endless hours on items to purchase and you nailed it on the photo booth apps. I've been in search pages all day regarding DSLR + ipad compatibility and you answered my questions. Hugs!!!!!
This is the set up I'm going for. But HOW? did you connect the Canon camera to your iPad??? I have the Canon EOS T7 with WIFI and an 2018 iPad Pro. I cannot get them to connect. Would a HDMI to USB c3 work better????
I have the same booth. I purchased one last year but my first one, we build it. It was for the community. Now all the parents and single mom are using DIY booth at parties, weddings, and bridal showers! Thanks For sharing!
Might be a dumb question but how do you make sure the tablet doesn't go into lock mode or die? Do you keep it plugged into a charger the whole time or an external battery pack?
Was about to go buy a new ipad or potentially new camera...I have an unused DSLR collecting dust + ipad mini. Can't wait to just buy a few accessories and create something similar to this. 1 thing is I don't think it connects to wifi (my camera). I'm debating how crucial that is but it sounds like I need it for that software you mentioned. either way thanks for the video!

Great video. I purchase wifibooth a couple of months ago and have been using a studio strobe, which is someone cumbersome and clunky. I was thinking of buying a ring light and found your video.
The ring light works, but I'm still heavily relying on the flash to light my subjects. Let me know how it goes. Honestly the ring light is just great to have. I've actually been using it all week to light my dining room while I paint!

Hi AAMP, please fast forward to 6:20 where I explain that it uses the wifi signal in the camera to connect to the ipad, no wires involved. I personally setup a router and connect both the ipad and the camera to the LAN. WifiBooth has a ton of great information about the different ways to connect the camera to the app/ipad so if you're interested in this setup check out their website. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

Sorry for the slow response Angela, but thanks for the question! It's called Wifi Booth, I go over it at 5:15 in the video. It's an iOS app. Thanks for watching!
You can use Simple Booth or Curator (Curator live) , or Babeland Photo apps that have some templates or you upload your own. Or you can try Paddee or Snappic. They all offer a free trial. Some are more expensive that others.
Sorry for the slow response. It can be hard to squeeze everyone in but that's a limitation on most photobooths. It comes down to the size of your background and how wide a lens you have. I've got a 17-55mm on a crop sensor camera, if I shoot at 17mm I'm wayyy wider than my background. I've also set it up in portrait mode to mix things up.
