I made and filmed this DIY photo booth about 8 months ago. As I'm working on two different projects at the moment with neither finished I decided to finish editing this one and get it published. It was a fun project that I made for a friends 40th birthday party. I didn't want to make a boring square plywood box so I made it a little more interesting. :)
@@gregmislick1117 I did a quick search and there are Android Photo booth Apps. Doesn't seem that there are many free ones though. Here's a few links to reviews and recommendations. Just trying to help you out. There is another one that is called SLR Booth but you will need a Digital camera to go along with the tablet. I have one similar to this that I use in conjunction with my Canon 7D and Samsung tablet. Especially when I'm taking pictures where my camera is at an uncomfortable angle. Like taking pictures of an eclipse where the camera is pointed almost straight up.
I love all of your projects and appreciate them. I'm learning from watching you do these projects. Thank you. I asked you a question in a previous project video about the serving platter with texture ( ruclips.net/video/JTZ0kYyTyr0/видео.html ) about what was the yellow stuff in the bowl. I'm still curious. Thank you again.
@@woodandwheelz thank you very much for taking the time. I should have just looked it up myself rather than asking. Funny how we forget the technology around us at the very moment we are using it.
God, you're a clever bugger. Thanks for the videos, I especially like that you name tools that you're using and show us your stuff ups and how you got around them. It really helps people like myself who are new to wood and metal working.
Outstanding project Neil! Man you have such an artistic mind. Love the kerf-bending sides you did and weighted base. Very great ideas! If she was expecting a plywood box, she must have been blown away at this. Great work!
I love this. Has your creativity no bounds? This is the dumbest, most brilliant thing you have conjured in some time. It's a gorgeous but ridiculously simple plywood stand to hold a common-or-garden iPad. An ingenious design for a trivial application to be used in a most artistic and creative and inventive manner by the inept. I think you should name it the Paradox Box.
Neil, the level of your imagination and creativity still amazes me. Some of the big makers on RUclips, although they're great in their own way, seem to struggle to think of new ideas (even Diresta?)... but you keep em coming! Very inspiring, as always. Thank you : )
Once again you prove what a clever bugger you really are! I’m going to have to do this one for my 13 yr old daughter’s next Birthday, she’ll be over the moon!!! Thanks for sharing your brilliance!
Great video!! My Dad made cupboards using the "This is the right diameter can" method when I was 5 or 6!! That was in the late '60's!! Love all your projects!!
Your friend must have been thrilled Neil! Isn't it fun to exceed someone's expectations and hit a project out of the park? You seem to always hit home runs with your builds, so I'm sure you get to experience that thrill on a regular basis! Well done Sir!
What a cool and inventive thing, Dude, I think you really outdid yourself with this one. Well thought out design and done with care and attention to detail. Thanks for bringing us along. Gave me some ideas for use on a few things I have been kicking around.
I like the trim. Maybe you could've recessed it like some kind of guitar binding ? Just shouting ideas here, no complaining, that's a really cool thing to make for a party !
I probably wouldn’t use one of these, but I WOULD use the techniques. This is why I like your videos; such a great variety of projects! As they say, something for everyone.
That's a bloody corker, mate👍 Awesome job, and easy to see why it was a hit at the party👌 And to top it off, you got some really great snaps of you and the dogs. They are looking to be in good health and cute as ever...
WOW , this is a work of art, excellent video. You are obviously a pro in wood work. The app I use is from apple - photbooth. I use a tripod and one those pop up 4 wall tents with props. I will try and see if I get the guts to buid this or something similar Thanx for video
G’day Neil, looks like you’re one of the last of the Mohicans as far as making videos goes mate, everyone else has thrown it in, glad you still lead the Aussie brigade 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🍻🍻🍻🍻👍👍👍👍👍👍
I just built a DIY photobooth myself and am now rethinking the whole thing. Mine looks like a birdhouse compared to this. This is amazing. My dad and I are going to study this video for a few days and then make one ourselves. Thank you for the inspiration.
Such a cool and creative idea for “just a plywood box” Turned out great and it’s no wonder it was a hit. Now you know they’re going to expect you to up your game in 10 years. 😉
An excellent video showing something which may not appeal to everyone, but well filmed and edited to keep me watching and coming back for me... just glad there were no snakes in this one 🤣
Absolutely brilliant Neil. Better than a selfie stick. 👍 🇬🇧 Paint it yellow and it would pass as a speed camera. That'll stop them whizzing past your house. ;-)
Wow, well done sir. I can see the great fun all night long. Loved the finishing techniques and the photos as well -beautiful Jack Russell! Thanks for sharing! :)
Really nice video, man. Your photo booth looks great and I've learned a lot of great techniques from watching. You're very skilled! Thanks for posting!
This is such a brilliant idea! It's no surprise that it was such a success at the party. Loved watching the build. You had me thinking of guitar building a few times. Thanks for this excellent video!! :)

you sure it wasn't really the first repeat of the 39th birthday?
Not having an iPad, is there an app that does the photo booth count down and 3 shot set, or is that just built in to the iPad?

Years ago we would put hot glue in the saw kerfs to give them a little more rigidity. Keep up on the great videos.

Very clever idea. But I have to admit, I love the speedway sounds in the background. They give Neil's videos a post-apocalyptic Mad Max feel.
