Very nice, your video inspired me to create my own photo booth instead of renting one. I tested few flashes and diffusers, and I found that a Lambency is in terms of size and light the best option I could get. Cheers!
The Born Maker. What are the measurements of the case...width, height and depth? I want to make this for my daughter's high school graduation party. I have my uncle willing to make the case. However, he is asking the measurements. I appreciate your help with this.

how to connect ipad and dslr? and how to printer this ?
I really liked the box and the details. One thing though, lately most boxes have the ability to have the camera tilt for taller or shorter people. A setup for a printer would also be helpful to take this to an event.

What did you used to cut out the area for the screen to show. Excluding the area that you routed out.
I just used a jigsaw to cut the opening.

what kind of photo printer did you use with your photo booth?
Great build! Definitely gonna try this. It looks like you had to compensate the size of the top and bottom portion of the box to accommodate the width of the wood, approximately how much did you deduct? I'm assuming an inch because of the 1/2 inch wood used but I know that the saw blade removes wood too my guess is 1/8th of an inch. I'll be removing that portion from the side pieces rather then the top so I can build the box on top of the bottom piece of wood(for added strength) , your thoughts and thanks again this is by far the nicest DIY build I've seen!!
I am I the process of building a similar photo booth and I was curious to know if you added any support for the shelf inside the box or if it is just glue and nails holding it up?

He gives dimensions at about 1:25. But yours will depend on your equipment. (iPad versus another tablet type, etc.)
I'm thinking of building this same set up, how or what app did you use to sync the iPad with the dslr, does the iPad show a live view? Thanks
Check out the "tech behind the booth" video in the description for a better breakdown. I just use an app called shuttersnitch to transfer between the camera with an eyefi sd card and the iPad. It doesn't have a live view and there's a few second delay, but it works for my needs. I don't have a printer or anything setup.

What was the material that you used to cover the box with?
+Kenny Tong I used some black felt that I got by the yard at a fabric store. I don't remember if i ended up getting 1 or 2 yards of fabric.

Great video, this will absolutely help me out in the one I am going to build. Question though, do you use an umbrella for your monolight? Or is your monolight fine to use without any modifiers?
Chroma Entertainment I just set the exposure for use without modifiers. It’s a little harsh but works with the photo booth style.

Is there a way to put in the iPad without a router safely? i dont have the tools to route a space out yet i want to cover the home button (not the camera though) Thanks 😄
You could probably use 1/4" plywood instead of 1/2" and just cut it out to the size you need. The routing was just so it wouldn't be so deep in the box.
How can I prevent the ipad from falling out though? Great idea by the way (:
+Amrit Ark just cut the reveal to be the size of the screen plus camera. Make a little ledge for the iPad to rest on and the velcro straps I showed should work.
