Great looking guitar overall, Justin! Not sure if it was mic placement or the amp, but this was some of the best sound quality you’ve achieved. That jazz part proves this would be right at home in New Orleans or the Village Vanguard. What I think the coolest feature is though, is that you can adjust the mic on the guitar and get the golpe echo; would be great for a flamenco musician playing to a large room.

Been searching for a good nylon guitar for years. Heard great things about the Godin line but they’ve always sounded thin to me compared to an actual classical guitar. I think Godin really nailed it with this one. Sounds really full Inspite of the body size. Plus that LR baggs is on a whole new level. I’m very pleased with this guitar just by watching this review. Currently way out of my budget but would love to trade in my Taylor for one. Great playing btw.

Thanks for your kind words my friend! I’ve been playing godins for over 5 years now. I currently own 3 of them. I think they are absolutely fantastic! And I guarantee you owning one will not disappoint you. I literally use this guitar for everything. I gig 3 times and week, and I teach pretty much 6 days a week, I am teaching classical, jazz, blues, rock, pop, finger picking, it really is such a versatile guitar. Good luck, and I promise you the cost is worth every penny.

Interesting review! I really like the sound, and the diversity of sounds that can be produced. This type of guitar could be an alternative to a semi acoustic since it wouldn't damage my nails as much. 🙂

      Hey Tomas,
Thanks for checking it out. It is a great guitar. Since I gig so much I wanted something simple to amplify, but sounds good like a classical guitar, that also plays and feels as close to a classical guitar. This is the closest thing, I’d recommend checking it out!

Great detailed video Justin! I really like that you include multiple genres in your demonstration. Do you think these kinds of guitars are becoming more popular because of Tim Henson's Ibanez nylon acoustic electric guitar? I've seen more and more on videos and at shows since he started using one.

Godin has been around for a long time. And these Multiacs have been around for a equally as long. It could be he has influenced them, but I think it’s also in part Godin makes a really good quality guitar and product.

Great playing Justin. My rest stroke sucks. I can't get my fingers to glide over the string like an otter can slide down a snowy slope. I'm no great guitar player, learned a few short classical pieces but I forgotten them all.
I just gotten a Deluxe Godin same pickup just like yours but I think the hi E string pickup is not picking up full strength like the rest of tremble strings G&B. E string fretted sounded very muted or dull I can hear the difference transitioning from B to E every time. Mine you I only use an amp I have which is Crate 112 acoustic amp but it's obvious that E string doesn't sound right - very dull. I will call tech coming week since I just got the guitar 3 days ago. I wish what I got has a flat fret board instead of being radius one. I don't have very large hands so I'm kinda shy away from 2" fret, I do have a regular classical but I'm thinking of getting the string action lower since I had difficulty from the beginning .
I have been thinking of getting the kind of amp you got to go with Godin nylon electric. I don't know if this amp would make a difference in how the E string will sound any difference.

      Thanks for your comment Donny!
Sorry to hear that about your godin! I’m sure Godin will work to remedy your situation, they are the best! Have you tried other amps o PAs to see if it’s an amp issue, VS a guitar issue? Secondly, check the battery. It should be the battery in the guitar needs to be swapped out.

How does the sound compare to the sa model
I’ve been using the sa for restaurant gigs for a few months and love it
Previous to that I was using a smallman but it was so difficult to amplify
I love the sound of rhe sa but considering getting the deluxe
I try to get as near to a classical guitar sound as I can , do you think the deluxe would work better for me?
    Great video😊

    • @JustinHatt1
      @JustinHatt1  2 месяца назад

Thanks for your comment! I also have a Multica SA I used it for many years before getting the deluxe nylon. Few things, I prefer the concert deluxe much more based on tonality and sound. Godin really nailed the marked with this guitar. I used this guitar for everything! I play all of my serious classical repertoire, I accompany singers with simple chord strum songs, and I’ll take this guitar to a jazz gig. I can’t say enough great things about it. I find that this guitar really cuts through the mix, and as a classical guitarist I feel right at home with the familiar classical guitar feel with its scale length, and standard fingerboard width. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with the purchase of this guitar. It is my absolute favorite guitar to use, I teach with it, I play and gig with it every day!

A great amp, but if you’re still in the market, I have a suggestion- try out the AER Compact Classic Professional. It’s got a 2 way speaker designed specifically for classical guitar. Also has a DSP with great effects and line out to record or route elsewhere.
