I just recently built a console budget gaming PC and my mom actually bought me a nice and sleek carbon fiber pattern desk that goes amazingly with my setup. It's simply called "Atlantic Gaming Desk" and its features are a headphone mount to the side, a cup holder, a monitor riser, a shit ton of space for more than just my keyboard, mouse, and school work, stands for controllers and speakers, a charging station for phones, little racks for game boxes, and a drawer for my things like screws and USB drives. And the best part is it's only $100. She actually got it at Walmart. There's also a slightly cheaper one on amazon. I've used it well for over 2 months so far and I get pretty ecstatic when gaming so you can imagine how great it is. It's a great recommendation for if your on a budget and looking for a nice gaming desk.

Bungies might help abit, but if mouse cables bother you at all, I don't really see any reason not to go wireless. There's a wide variety now, and increasingly more are being released. There's no drawbacks to mice with cables, weight is very similar, needing batteries/charge is imo no solid argument and price isn't very different either. Join the wireless revolution!
Fowl Wireless mice tend to be more expensive then an identical wired mouse, and there can be very subtle delays, only noticeable when playing an extremely fast game, like CS GO. In my opinion, there is no “best” mouse, but it entirely depends on what you want to do with it.
I have a old mouse that was made by Microsoft and the USB cable doesn't do what the thing in this video is supposed to make it not do and my PC was built by me with old parts so i don't have bluetooth on it yet.
Mouse bungees are underrated. Just picked one up and the complete lack of any resistance is really nice. You get to keep the speed and responsiveness of a wired mouse with the feel of a wireless one (almost). Surprisingly, Razer seems to have one of the better designed ones. I was looking at the Zowie Camade and it's nice but really large. They're not overly expensive so people should look into them.
I used to transcribe recordings for work and we used foot pedals. Never really thought about them being used for anything else. The middle was play, the left was fast forward, and the right rewind.
As a former PS fanboy who's moved to the Master Race, but not lots of money, I find using a 25W colored bulb (pointed at the wall/ceiling junction behind my desk) not only gives that backlight to help ease eyestrain, but also illuminates my kb&m so I don't have to pay more for them to be self lit. It also doubles as a great night-light for my apartment ;-)
As another option for a monitor riser....make your own. I put one together using MDF comprised of a base plate, four smaller blocks in the center glued to the baseplate, and one larger plate again that just rests on the middle layer. What makes this setup useful is that the middle layer has passthroughs in its construction for cable management, right underneath the monitor. This allows me to tuck away and clean up my keyboard and mouse cables, the wire for my beamforming mic, the cable for my headset, and it just....keeps them from being wrapped around everything, and getting crushed and tangled...plus MDF and wood glue are going to be somewhat dirt cheap.
The banana holder for the headphones is such a brilliant idea. Thank you for mentioning it. I always have trouble having my headphones on my desk when I'm not using them. Mainly because they are within reach of my kids trying to pull anything wired off of my desk. I know I could go wireless, but I used my computer way too much, that the charge would run out in the middle of some big gaming event.
Wanted some more configurability for my setup, and I can't tell you how many times I've slid the monitor down on an arm when I'm slouching back and watching netflix. Good to see it at number 1. What I didn't expect was the importance of audio, finally people are getting it.
I bought one of the electric dusters. What a difference and it saves a lot of money. The canned air would lose pressure after just a few minutes and even with heating in hot water it still would not last for very long or clean as well as the electronic duster. They are a lot louder but they can clean very, very well. Plus you can use it over and over. You can also use it for other things such as blowing out vents, living room fans, and tight places in your car. I think it has more than triple paid for itself the first year and I'm still using it 3 years later.
This was actually a very good video! So much more better than the videos on other channels that just list a bunch of useless overprised products that nobody needs. I really liked that disk drive hack!
Haha that little USB vacuum gave me a throwback, used to own one of those when I just had started getting into Wow like 10 years ago. Funny thing is that I also bought the exact same can of Cyberclean when i bought the vac. :) I'm also a proud owner of the Fiio e10k. Guess I have a soft spot for all these little gimmicks that improve everyday gaming. Great list!
2.5" drives can be mounted into empty PCI slots, so your SSD can hang out next to your video card. Rubber inserts for I/O ports are dirt cheap, keep dust out, and come in a range of colors. Some furnace filters are made to be washable, and are easily cut with scissors. They make for a cheaper and reusable source for dust filters.
You know what I suggest the most, any small folding table, I keep one at my desk for side stuff and eating, and it literally is a life changer and I love it
For the persistent keyboard cleaners (I do mine about twice a day because you can notice the smallest amount if dust on brushed aluminum) get a small paint brush. It does a good job of removing small hairs in between the keys and works very will in combination with a can of air duster.
I have the e10k with my DT880s, it's really nice. I have it mounted to the bottom of my desk with velcro, an then 10 foot long micro usb cable connecting it to my pc. I got the long cable so I could route it out of sight.
God no. They're not the most qualified people and they REALLY shouldn't be giving out advice on that, but instead directing people to better sources for those things.

If you're going for LED back-lighting, also look into aquarium lighting - Basically the same thing, just not designed for monitors, but you can cheaply find ways to mount the lights.
I've been using a Foot Pedal for years ( I use a 3 pedal one from Scythe). It's really handy for turning pages while reading mangas, comics or books. Also handy for keeping your keyboard/mouse clean when watching a movie and you need to pause it when you have been gorging on popcorn. :)
Having a solid mouse pad is a really good idea I recommended the razer manticor but really anything solid works. You get alot more control, and it works really well if you are using a gaming laptop and are traveling or just want a lower resistance mouse pad.
Headhunter_FRANK nah he's best off getting a Chromebook or any cheap laptop that can surf the web and access word and Excel and then make a desktop for home. gaming on a laptop is so lackluster and I strongly believe laptops should be for work and occasionally movies or RUclips. any 200$ Chromebook can do that.
For a bungee, I would recommend Quad Gaming's Mouse Rock. This is a nice bungee if you have limited space on your desk, or just don't want the clutter.
Btw for a headphone stand I got one of those of wall hanger you peel glue off and stick to the wall. They usually don't leave any glue behide if pulled off and make the headphones kinda just float there. I've really liked it
Hey you wanted some recommendations for products, here's one. Magnetic (or adhesive) dust filters from DEMciFlex. You can get them for all fan and radiator sizes, they're pretty cheap, and easy to clean. By having them you prevent almost all dust from getting into your computer and making it dirty. You also get better temperatures and less likely to get thermal throttling on your components.
I also use a beverage warmer as an air freshener. Just place a scented candle on top, it melts the wax and releases the scent. I change to a few different candles every couple weeks and the candles last almost forever.
Great video! I didn't even know they made drive mountable trays! That will be super useful for my workstation/battle rig here at the house! Also, the VESA clamp monitor mounts will be a Godsend for my neck! Instant Like from me! Keep making these kinds of videos!
Tips for optimizing your physical conditions for gaming. Example: turn down the AC a lil bit because cold fingers don't respond as quickly as room temp fingers.
On the subject of volume control, the Logitch MX Master mouse has a thumb wheel which can be programmed to volume. It's default setting is horizontal scrolling, but that's not really needed on higher resolution monitors.
I use a bicycle holder mounted under my desk to hold my headset. Not one of the hooks that look like a question mark, but one that still holds the tire. Works great and doesn't take up space ontop of my desk.
One item I think is rather underrated is the Steam Link. If you have a PC in a bedroom that is only used intermittendly, and you would like to have something you'd be able to use it in your living room to watch movies, netflix, spotify, skype or anything else you can do on a PC, hookup a steamlink to a TV and stream the image and audio from your PC. It's basically a replacement for a secondary media center PC. You can setup the steam link to directly access your PC's desktop instead of the Steam Big Picture mode. And it's pretty cheap if you get it on a steam sale. (I got mine for around 23 Euro's) It's best to use it with wired internet though. With Wifi you can suffer from frame drops or quality reduction. Another item is an Air Mouse to control a Media Center PC or Steam Link. They are pretty cheap and allow you to control the mouse cursor by moving the Air Mouse in the air like a Wii controller (only with better precision and no pointer jitter like the Wii controllers have). I got mine from Aliexpress for around 10 USD and it's even got an integrated Lion battery and a keyboard on the back that allows you to do google searches and stuff with it. (If you wanna check it out: www.aliexpress.com/item/2-4GHz-G-Mouse-II-C120-Air-Mouse-T10-Rechargeable-Wireless-GYRO-Air-Fly-Mouse-and/32240774621.html )
Peltier Solid State Refrigerators that plug into the wall are good for keeping canned soda cool. I use one with the Coca Cola Polar Bear on the front. There is a switch on the back to put it into the heating mode for warm drinks.
Accessories actually worth owning: 1. A large mouse mat - A good mouse mat is a must when it comes to doing anything on a PC. I'd recommend a large non-slip one so you can drag your mouse as far as needed without having to reset or an extra large non-slip one which you can rest your keyboard and mouse on, not just practical but very a e s t h e t i c. 2. A mechanical keyboard - Once you go mechanical you can never go back to a membrane keyboard in my opinion, even though some people say they prefer membrane keyboards I think it's just because they haven't actually taken the time to experience a mechanical or even a hybrid keyboard. If you're looking for a mechanical keyboard and don't know where to start I'd recommend a keyboard with Outemu Blue switches as they are a lot cheaper than Cherry MX switches but if you don't have a budget the Cherry MX switches are of higher quality. What kind of switches to buy I'd go for the blue ones which are tactile with a satisfying click sound, however they are noisy (but I love the sound) so unless you want to purposefully piss off your co-workers I'd get blue switches. 3. A 144Hz monitor - This one is really for gaming but is definitely worth having if you can push the FPS in games about 70+. Things to note generally when getting a monitor is if you're getting a monitor bigger than 25" then get one that's 2K resolution or greater as you will notice the pixels on a bigger screen if it's below 2K. Personally, I will never be able to go back to a 60Hz monitor just for the sheer fact that 144Hz is noticeable contrary to what anyone else says. It rocks my world. 4. A good sound system - Audiophiles out there will go into massive detail about why and which Hi-Fi or headphones are the best, costing you your left arm. I will say get a good pair of headphones or sound system around £40+ and you won't notice much of a difference in sound quality in speakers more expensive than that. 5. Time - You've got to have some ridiculous amount of time on your hands to fuel your gaming marathons and to make concoctions of Mountain Dew and Dorito mix go-go juice. So why not start early when you have all the time on your hands at the ripe old age of childbirth? This is a guide to help you get the most out of your rig in your mum's basement and fully enjoy your PC experience.
We tried to pick some weird stuff you wouldn't see on a typical list.

This was definitely made by nonPC enthusiasts.
Please make more of these videos! These are some great accessories!
pls make a video for building a pc
SealthruX but i want to hear their opinions
God no. They're not the most qualified people and they REALLY shouldn't be giving out advice on that, but instead directing people to better sources for those things.
Allen Luis Watch Linustechtips.
Allen Luis their opinions? What kind of opinions do they have for building a pc? 99% of what they post is console gaming oriented.
Look up Linus Tech Tips on RUclips.
Just ignore the $1,000 PC Build sponsored by BeQuiet. It's not good. I'm
If you're going for LED back-lighting, also look into aquarium lighting - Basically the same thing, just not designed for monitors, but you can cheaply find ways to mount the lights.

Banana Holder for the win! I have used one now for a few years and i really like it simple sturdy and gets the job done.
f.lux team!
awesome guys, great to see a different type of list than one of those 3 mice and 3 different keyboard ones
I REMEMBER THE BANANA HOLDER
I've been using a Foot Pedal for years ( I use a 3 pedal one from Scythe). It's really handy for turning pages while reading mangas, comics or books. Also handy for keeping your keyboard/mouse clean when watching a movie and you need to pause it when you have been gorging on popcorn. :)
but I have no money!!! :-(
Then get a job.
No jobs available my friend no wonder why this country is screwed & selling Cocaine is illegal in most states
sell cocaine then?
Having a solid mouse pad is a really good idea I recommended the razer manticor but really anything solid works. You get alot more control, and it works really well if you are using a gaming laptop and are traveling or just want a lower resistance mouse pad.
Could anybody recommend a good but relatively cheap gaming laptop?
Use a PC instead, it's better than a laptop in most cases.
realism, logic ”cases”
Headhunter_FRANK nah he's best off getting a Chromebook or any cheap laptop that can surf the web and access word and Excel and then make a desktop for home. gaming on a laptop is so lackluster and I strongly believe laptops should be for work and occasionally movies or RUclips. any 200$ Chromebook can do that.

realism, logic Oh wow. Can you carry your pc anywhere?
I seriously love you guys - I'm getting most of these little devices....I hate the cans of air
On the subject of volume control, the Logitch MX Master mouse has a thumb wheel which can be programmed to volume. It's default setting is horizontal scrolling, but that's not really needed on higher resolution monitors.
Monitor mount definitely is a good investment. You have a ton on usable space on your desk.
I use a bicycle holder mounted under my desk to hold my headset. Not one of the hooks that look like a question mark, but one that still holds the tire. Works great and doesn't take up space ontop of my desk.
using the foot pedal for shooting the gun of your tank in world of tanks, really satisfying to do and most tanks used a foot pedal as trigger!
Accessories actually worth owning:
A soft paintbrush does wonders for removing dust in areas where compressed air tends to fail and they last forever
