Foxeer is great! Great quality components with a nice price/ quality balance. They even got 8s fc / ESC now.
Speedybee F405 v3 FTW!!! Absolutely awesome fc for its price! 👌
I think Supafly has done some indepth testing on these speedybees and highlighted concerns and recommended against using these.

I plan on building a killer 75mm whoop using the mobula 7 frame but I want way more grunt what fc should I use on it? I was watching you and ciotti talk motors and I'm loving the 1003 motors with like 28000 kv or more lol the snow plows or whatever they're called are out of stock and the other say use at your own risk lol
I have bought a total of 3 of these FC+ESC stacks and 1 of the FC's by itself. I have no long term experience with it, but I can without a doubt say that it comes with Betaflight 4.3.2 installed, and if you upgrade to betaflight 4.4.2 and use a 32gb microsd card for blackbox logging you will have issues with your OSD.

Hello my friend! Thanks for your great video! One question: I have the F405 V3 and try to use blackbox with SDCard but no sucess. I tried to change the settings, use BF 4.4.X, 4.3.X, 4.2.X but nothing worked... I tried both SDHC 8GB and SDXC 64 GB... Format them to FAT32 with 4096, 8192, and all kb possible... I also did a partision with only 2GB on the cards but no sucess... Any ideia what may be happening, and how I can fix it and finally use the blackbox? Thank you so much in advance, BR.
Hi Joshua i have a problem , the capassitor came loose on my speedybee 405 v4 55a and it seems like 2 components burnt have you ever had electrical layout or components list for the esc

Hi Josh, love the vids you have helped me hella lot over the years, thos is the first time i cannot sort my problem, i have the speedybee f405 v3 stack, but cannot arm, i have been stuck for 2 days now. I have arming flag 16 and cannot for lofe of me solve it, all motors and channels are working, I have the tx16s mk2 max.
This arming issue is driving me mad, any ideas i could try please, thank you so much.
Go to your modes section on beta flight and set up your switch or re flash and set up everything from scratch

Hey there. Love your stuff! Just watched the betaflight step x step and got inspired to dust off the two pos quads of my collection. I have an Immersion RC Vortex 250 that after my ex pal plugged his laptop i to began to fly for shite! I swapped the fc to an “upgraded” V. Maybe a f3 board i think. But alas my BF skillz were non existant at the time and never got anywhere. So here I am. What would be a good latest gen board be to get this bird bk in the air. Was a blast to fly out of the box, sans the shit range from the lemon rx i got stuck w trying to talk to my Spektrum Tx’s(IX12 now). Thanks for ANY input. Cheers!! B

Hi joshua, would like to know if you have seen something like what happened to me few weeks ago, i have a 6s kwad where i was using one of yours aio fc, the JB F4 aio v2, it was mached with rdq 30amps individuals esc, i was almost ready for start flying, the kwad was on the ground without arming and few seconds later i heard a pooffrom a esc, immediately i heard it i disconnected the battery, and next day at home i replaced that esc, connected the battery and guess what, not beep from any of the esc and 2 seconds later the new esc poof😂 i noticed that the fc didnt power on when connected the battery so took all appart and the fc was burned too, changed the fc by another aio and noticed that again any of the esc beep, so i guess the JB had a short or something and burned the esc controllers😢

The speedybee F7 mini is my favorite ..... No baro but light and super small , excellent freestyle fc .... super super tuff FC and 21% load with RPM filter .... also speedy bee is the best for analog ,,, super clear pic everytime .. my go to analog FC .. the 405 cpu struggles with rpm filters
I bought myself F405 stack and it doesnt broadcast ESC telemetry and can't do turtle mode for some reason
I have a really weird question. I want to add a FC into another electronics project to make use of the Baro, Gyro and OSD out. Can i use an FC as a passive component? Or does the FC need to have a remote connected for it to work? My video display will be soldered directly to video out of the OSD (no VTX needed) because all i want to show is altitude, horizon and compass automatically on power up of my project. Is this possible? Love the videos! and thanks for any advice you can provide
Knowing not that much about fpv if you are just using the FC for the sensors and not driving ESC’s or sending telemetry, just receiving it, I don’t see why you couldn’t wire it up without the receiver and still have sensor data
What about the best controller for tiny whoop?
My F405 V3 doesn't work properly with iNav. The virtual 3d model on the setup screen either moves very slowly with no yaw or goes crazy even after calibration. I tested 2 new boards. They work perfectly fine with betaflight, though. Any idea what the issue might be?
sometimes when the fc is powered only by usb the model moves slower

I'm looking for something like Multiwii Pro. It has 3 serial ports, all the sensors, and a very simple and well defined serial protocol. It's a pity that Multiwii is dead now. I don't find anything alike.
yeah the speedybee is so fantastic thatt you cant even use dshot on inav with it because they borked the timers

Noxe f411. You can run Rx,smart audio and GPS. 6s and 20 dollars. Bomb proof.
If u want more parts noxe f405. 5 dollars more.
I feel Like with speedybee you either have luck or Not .Seen loads of Posts with burned Out Quads , stuff and Equipment. I also Had a newly build Quad using the speedybee f4 stack and on Second Flight it dropped while Punching Out and burnt two Motors. You have to be lucky to get Hands On a good one i guess.
I don't understand is quality control not a thing in this industry?
I got the e45s or whatever that comes with the nazgul5 v2 and the lil back chip near where the battery connects to the esc is swollen.
As far as I know I didn't do anything wrong.. it just got too hot or something? My buddy suggested maybe it was a voltage spike from a wreck..
I don't get it, like the battery just dumps power when it gets jolted?
@@RandoManFPV to much amps drawn can cause that . There's Shure quality control but especially speedybee is known for problems it's a cheap stack with good options so they throw them on the market tonwise. The FC are ok but the esc causing problems a lot
using f7 or f4 for easy and high performance...if just play acro,i thing more cheaper using diy arduino FC 😅...not big different in my feel,on acro mode.
Building a 7.5inch long range. Looking to possible use a speedybee f7 v3 50a with t motor 3008 1350kv motors. Anybody have input. Is 50a enough esc for motor size. Quad will be a cruiser on li ion packs. Any input would be appreciated
I wouldn't do that because you have to flash Bluejay to have rpm filtering. The only problem I have with Bluejay is that your ability to ajust the pwm is limited. If you buy a stack with BL HELI32 ESC you would use the esc configurator and be able to set you low and high pwm. With a 7" or larger build I found this very helpful. The other thing is that you can set your motor timing to auto.
All I want is to SpeedyBee to make a F7 version of their wing stack.

@brumbrumson2434 Oh, ok. It's just future proofing, since F7 processors have much more process power. You know?
To buy something with a F4 processor today would feel like buying a F3 a few years ago. I mean, you need to know it won't be supported for much longer.

Thank you very much Bardwell. I have a problem in one of my F405 V3. Everything is well programmed and I’ve tried several filters and pids on Betaflight. When I accelerate, the Drone turns left. It’s almost impossible to fly like that. I’ve tried everything. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful. 🙂

@@jankucera8505The problem is not with any engine. I have already changed this flight controller with another drone, with exactly the same construction, and this board takes the problem back. In any drone I mount, only this flight controller with problems, the drone gets this problem... My other speedybee that I have, all work well on any drone. Except for this one... maybe I should consider the possibility of it coming with a defect...

I have exactly same problem with my speedybee f405 v3 + i have some serious vibrations sometimes randomly. I accelerate, my yaw goes to left. I quess speedybee quality control is not good.
JB F7 would be best of the best if it also came in 20x20
Buyer beware. The Speedybee F405V3 stack has some design flaws which result in the inability of OSD and Blackbox logging working at the same time (Betaflight, INAV) and absence of DSHOT in INAV.
And they are pretty shi%# quality, 3 esc dead in 3 month, my mamba stack, 3 years old, still going.
I have this FC and I like it but the i2c doesn't work , so no compass. It has i2c ports but they're worthless. The only way I heard people could use them is to disable D shot from ESCs but then you can use the ESC stack so that's pointless if you already soldered your motors. Luckily betaflight allows GPS rescue without compass.
I stopped flying a couple years ago and now I'm looking to build something wicked. I can't believe how far this hobby has come in such a short time with all the options. The things I see most people complaining about is wild😅
