How could any landlubber complain about a boat unless it was filthy and mangled, an eyesore? The painting is superbly realistic. My ribs were in knots laughing. 😂
@@BenSearsVids: Well guess what? It showed up in my algorithm when it shouldn’t have. Guess how many Seasides there are. Apparently, YT can’t read either.

Clever. But can’t say I agree with him. He acts like he’s making a political statement…but when you’re in an HOA, you agree to the covenants of that neighborhood. And people buy into those neighborhoods and their home values are tied up with adhering to said covenants. If you don’t like them, then don’t move into the HOA! Instead, this guy signs the dotted line, leaves a boat out against the rules, has a neighbor complain (which they have every right to do), and then “complies” with the rules by doing something petty and disrespectful to his neighbors. 👎
@@bcaye you’re right, I’m making some assumptions. I find it highly unlikely a neighbor complained to him, without the force of HOA covenants behind them, and then he went to all this trouble. Ironically, that would make him a serious jerk (imagine complaining to your neighbor that they have something you consider an eye sore, and then they went to a bunch of trouble to rub it in your face). So, whether or not my assumptions are true, he’s being petty. Albeit clever and I see the humor in it.
"hired an artist" is my favorite part.
A good one too. Looks great.

His neighbor was just jealous because they didn't have a boat...lol
His neighbors are the petty ones
It was the city, not a neighbor
@@FKBUSH1 where I'm at, it's usually neighbors that call the city.
@@peanut8771 Where I'm at, the city literally hires people, with our tax money, to drive around and give tickets on The People's properties.
Way to combat their silly, arbitrary rules with a creative "solution" to their problem. Genius!
Can you imagine living in a place called the Seaside and being mad people have visible boats
Too many “Karens” around, in my opinion.
😂 That's so true
Malicious compliance. Love it 👍
excellent artist, the boat looks so real...I love it and would love to see this type of artwork in my neighborhood
To Spirit Survival. Not to worry -- *you soon will!*
Thats pretty clever and funny. Respect for the man 🙏
This is incredible! I actually thought this was a real boat!! PROPS TO THE HOMEOWNER, ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼💯💯💯🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
It’s crazy how good it looks and how close to perfectly lined up with the real boat it is.
"What do you mean?? It's behind a fence! Don't you see!"
Cue 'Curb' end tune
Curb end tune?

My ribs were in knots laughing. 😂
He got his malicious compliance in and the artist neighbor got a lot of extra exposure. It’s a win for everyone and the HOA’s of the world can eat it.
His neighbor is very talented!
The entirety of Monterey/Seaside has become a humongous county sized Home Owners Association
love this man
I love this and him ❤❤❤
Perfect!
That is beautiful... wow!!!❤😂🎉
The first time in 10 years, we have seen a 💯 % true story from MSM.
Impressive!!
Won't boat thieves be surprised when they try hooking up to their vehicle?
Boats make people smile , the owners even name them .
Now a Turbine hydroplane or F 1 car could be a nice conversation starter too .
Bravo!!
Absolutely love this, malicious complaince can be so beautiful sometimes 😊
Genius move good sir!!
Pravo!!
Theory: the artist neighbor called it in, then turned it around and got paid to do a mural
Love it!
I love it!
That is hilarious! "Problem Solved" absolutely ingenious!
How you gonna live in a coastal area and be all mad about seeing someone have a boat? 😂 I smell jealousy
Ingenious 😂
It was done so well
I want to live in a place that makes you put art on your house...
They didn’t force the artwork the enforced a fence policy. He took it upon himself to make it a statement piece. Good on him.

Legend!
Soon they'll tell him he needs to repaint his fence, so he'll paint a fence hiding a boat on his fence.
😂...made me smile 😃
Can any Americans tell me why he was ordered to hide the boat?
Is this HOA nonsense?
That artist neighbor sure is fed up with the city as well. 😂
I love this honestly lol
Good on him
What type of person cares about seeing his boat?
California needs to worry less about expensive vessels in private driveways and more about how the entire state is going to Hell-o in a Handbasket-o 🤣
Well done sir... well done😂
I had to look twice. Looked like the Real Deal at first!!! 😂😂😂
His neighbor should mind their own business and not looking at his boat 😂

At first I thought it was the HOA. What sort of law would allow a city to order someone install a fence to hide a boat?

Mighta been more interesting with an audio fix. Lame sound, KSBW
And camera work, they didn't even capture the forced perspective of the piece
GOAT 😂😂😂😂
The HOA where he lives made him build a fence because they thought the boat was an eyesore so he built a fence and painted a boat to get back at them
