Hi engage...I know...Mr. Momo was quite the "tub gentleman, wasn't he!" ❣ I've had a lifelong passion for Nature & *ALL* (wild AND domesticated) animals! One of my most beloved gorillas in the whole wide world is named, "Momo!" He's a young Silverback with two sons, & has such love & affection for both of them & their Mama! 🦍 😊
Nope. They're actually really quick to learn anything you want them to. My pom is even smart enough to ignore everyone else giving him commands and only listens to mommy❤
All four of them are like the stages of my roasting marshmallows. Melvin, perfect straight out of the bag. The one you did in this video, slightly warm, just starting to get toasted. The other dog you groomed, lovely toasted perfection itll be crisp on the outside gooey on the inside. Gidget, when my brain looses track of what im doing and focuses on a trail of ants that found the piece of sandwich i dropped four hours ago and then i get startled back to reality by the people around me shouting that my marshmellow is on fire. So then i have to eat a burnt mallow.
@seanraymond4358 I'll take it! I love all kinds of burnt food. Cheese, cookies (burnt, yes...BLACK, no), marshmallows, etc. Not burnt popcorn though. My first boyfriend purposely burned his every single time and I just could not 🤢
Gidget is my perfect marshmallow. I love pulling off the tasty burnt shell and then retoasting the insides. It never comes off as crispy as the first layer but it's still good.
Poms are great little dogs and are in fact very smart, they do have some instincts that are hard to overcome though. Our Pom died last fall at 20 years old and right up to her final day she believed that she was my wife's capable and dedicated protector. That little dog truly believed that she could easily overcome a Siberian tiger if that's what it took to protect my wife. She was also the sweetest most loyal little dog you could ever meet.
I don’t know about every Pomeranian but my late Pomeranian was super smart. We got him into training when he was about 4 years old and he quickly learned several tricks and kept learning new things during his life. He knew when we changed from “stay at home” clothes to “outside” clothes and he would protest because he thought we would go out. I miss him, rip Pipoca.
Great to see Melvin the Magnificent. I had visions of the 4 poms bouncing around the backyard like balls of lint escaping a vacuum. Instead they were very tentative and orderly. A nice uplift to my day in any case...thankyou:)
It's fun watching her groom giant dogs with paws bigger than her entire hand, then turn around and groom a dog so tiny that two of his toe beans could be hidden under her fingernail :D
We have said goodbye to our neighborhood 20 yr old pom. He & his owner used to walk with my dad (who had alzheimers) & the shih tzu i now care for. I like to think my dad is taking care of Bubba in heaven for now. I miss him, but he was very, very frail & had almost no coat left. He's healthy & furry again on the other side. Makes me happy to see these other pom pups :)
your technique seems as if you take a Bonsai approach. each dog, no matter the breed, is an individual and you take time to step back, refocus, redirect and reapproach. Kudos !
I remember when I used to really hate small dogs, but there is something special about their small, but fiery personality that I have since fallen in love with. Poms are especially fiery and big in personality.
I’ve had a black lab, a golden retriever and 2 poms and I can’t see myself ever having another breed of dog other than a Pom now. I love the breed so much. My current Pom has learned to go way to the back of the yard and sit there when he knows we are going to leave for awhile. They are very smart and great emotional support dogs. We call them potted geraniums too! 😂
"Which makes him a little more.... slow" as if he wasn't lovable enough already 😂❤ I have a doofus here at home too. Queue "my child - pride is not the word i'm looking for"
I worked at a groomers for over 2 years and the only dog we could not groom was a pom. It was like a rabid tasmanian devil with an unscratchable itch and he was going to fight us. He won, we couldn't even get near him, couldn't clip his lead, it took 3 of us so we had to call his owner, she said he was an angel and didn't know what we were talking about. We were all traumatised by this foxy looking psychopath
I rescued a pom who was two at the time. It has taken me two years and scars to just get all the knots out of his coat. I still have to muzzle for nails but he will let me trim and bathe and brush so it's a win. As he learns more trust it is so much better.
@RonLarhz she definitely did not, we had a quiet afternoon so no other dogs so it wasn't that it was aggressive cos of other dogs, dryers weren't working so no noise over stimulation, as soon as we took it behind the desk it started to growl, the door clicked shut this adorable looking fluff ball became a series killers inspiration. It lived with an old lady and she thought it walked on water
@paullyrenee poor baby, thats thing with rescues, we don't know what trauma they've had. All 4 of my dogs are rescues and thankfully only one has issues. Baby steps and your floof will soon learn to trust you
Your choice of music while the little dogs frolicked in the yard was just adorable - it suited them. I love Momo, Mia Mae, and of course your Gidget and Melvin. So much fun!!!
Awe sooo cute. I inherited my folks pom when they passed away. She lived to be 15.5yrs old. Sure miss that sassy little girl. Momo even SOUNDS like my little Sadie. ❤
I wish i had a video of a Jack Russell Terrier named Eddie that I once lived near. All his owner had to say to him was, " Eddie, Bath time!!" All of the sudden he was in the tub! I was amazed! He also loved to be blowed dried! Loved it!😂
As an owned person of two Pomeranians, I can attest to the fact that they are heart stealers. Everything is multiplied with them, the cuteness over load factor is high. I also have a silver Labrador and she thinks she is a Pomeranian, since she grew up with together.
I just love your passion for helping these dogs! Be it behavioral, health, or a difficult coat I love how patient and courteous you are with their little quirks ❤
He and his sister are so sweet! 😍 Their owners have done very well in socializing his sister so she’s comfortable, but this little guy is just scrappy. What sweet siblings
I find it fascinating that when dogs go bald it's like "Oh that's no big deal, just a bit of hair loss!" but when a human goes bald it's like "We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of this person's hairline." edit: OH SNAP grooming courses!? I have got to check that out, it would be really cool if I could offer more pet services!
Guarantee you that if companies like Keeps or whoever makes Rogaine started making products for dogs, suddenly we'd be seeing commercials about how terrible and awful pet alopecia is and how we really should be grieving for it lol
@@notevenlistening6072 Thank you. That is exactly what I’m doing. I have a document I have to fill out a lot of questions, so I’m gonna knock that out, and then everything else I have isn’t even close to a full assignment like the doc is (1/2-3/4 left to do), they’re just a couple questions.
Vanessa, you have made me totally fall in love with these little Pomeranian dogs. Of all the ones you groom, I love seeing them become adorable fluff balls when you have finished.
He was really good, I loved how at one point he turned around for you to do the otherside. I'm not usually a little dog fan, but he was so patient and seems sweet.
Gosh, you are so admirable. With the videos on how you got into this business, helping the humane society, and now educational courses to help others, it is so wonderful that you want to prop others up as well.
Mia mae and momo being all smiles while melvin looks like he wants to go home and not a thought being behind gidgets eyes is what gets me in that photo.
Aaaah I just subbed on your channel today and I’ve watched your bathe super cute ones to really huge beautiful babies. Glad to watch a new one tonight (my local time). They are like mini peacock dogs! So cuteeee
I think it's because of you, I now like poms. I used to think they were this annoying, yappy, designer dog, who would bite my ankles and has an ego problem. But now they have grown on me, and instead of being annoyed by how they look, I actually think it's crossed into the section of ridiculous, that is also funny and makes me smile.
It always makes me happy to see people realize how awesome little dogs can be! A lot of people seem to see the toy breeds as, well, toys or accessories--just objects that we dress up and play with. But tiny dogs are still just as much dogs as larger breeds are! They have just as much personality and thoughts and feelings as bigger dogs do. Tiny dogs can be wonderful buddies, provided you treat them like any other dog, and give them the same basic respect and compassion you would any other dog.
@@thewolfofthestars1847I agree. I’ve had to poms and they are great dogs. Smart and great emotional support. I think little dogs get a bad reputation since people let them get away with bad behavior (biting, growing , etc) because they are cute and that creates behavior problems overall.
@@MeShellyShellShell Exactly. A Chihuahua lunging at a guest is annoying but still gets a laugh because no one gets hurt. Make that Chihuahua a German Shephard and it's suddenly a very different story, despite the problem being the same. Discipline is key, big dog or small. You wouldn't discipline a tall child but let the short one get away with everything.
The picture of the four of them together is one of the cutest things I've seen in awhile! Your love of the smaller breeds shows through in this video Vanessa. And I was surprised to see a blue merle Pom! Thanks for another interesting video. Waiting for the next video!
The thing I admire most about Vanessa is her absolute confidence when handling the toe nail clippers. Once, I cut a nail too close to the quick. Blood everywhere and poor dog howling in pain. I never forgave myself and haven't trimmed any of my dogs' nails since. Same w/my kid. Used to cut his hair all the time. Once, I cut his ear and that was the end of home haircuts! I had a Pomeranian, and he had such a sweet face like Momo. Pant, pant, so excited, but came through like a trooper. You are always so good with dogs. Thanks for sharing the Pom romp.
I love the way Melvin walks...its more like a prance! All of these little balls of fur are so beautiful! The differences in coloring is amazing to me. I have only ever seen golden coloring..love these guys!🐾
I love love love love Poms. I had one for 17 years and she was the smartest funniest best behaved dog I ever owned. It was impossible to be sad with her around. I loved her. It does make me smile every time I see one. Thank you for the smile.
going through a very rough time right now, and even though it’s hard to smile, your videos are still lovely and a comfort to watch 💕 edit: watching momo get blasted with air at 8:35 made me smile. thanks, vanessa 😂
Take care ❤ Good for you for posting here. Do you have a pet? I have a cat and wish I could fi 12:14 nd a groomer that would work with the cat. Even if I could get help with clipping nails. 😢🎉🎉
Hey Vanessa! I had an idea. Maybe you could mention to the rest of your channel that even if they dont have small dogs personally they could still take your course and use that experience to help groom rescue dogs! Or maybe some side income if they end up being really good at it? I was trying to figure out who I would gift it to for Christmas but I think the only one that I know who is interested is me! And I love helping rescue animals... seems like a win! lol Thank you for being so informative. You have no idea how much you have taught me!

Brain injuries are not funny, but the fact that a Pomeranian can sustain one and it just makes them more Pom-like IS kinda funny… These special little guys are just the cutest muppets 🥰
I do find it nice that she said how easy it is for a pom to get a brain injury. 'Just like Melvin after he fell from the couch'. How many people think it can do no harm if your dog falls off the couch?
For all it's worth, Momo still looks like a fluffy, puffy dandelion in the fields despite his alopecia (: he behaved very well 💛
He's a doll!

what is alopecia? I'm not the greatest dog nerd
Poms are the textbook definition of "the lights are on but nobody is home" 😂😂
They can be dangerous to cats... mine would die of laughter just seeing one.

Those dogs look like they have 3 collective braincells between the 4 of them, and it's very precious :3 Thank you for sharing.
What’s crazy is that Pomeranians are actually in the top 10 smartest dog breeds in the world
Edit: not top 10, they are top 23
That was my impression too. Not much in the deep thinking department between the four of them. Still cute.
And none of those braincells belong to Melvin

going through a very rough time right now, and even though it’s hard to smile, your videos are still lovely and a comfort to watch 💕
edit: watching momo get blasted with air at 8:35 made me smile. thanks, vanessa 😂

Hope you are getting through well, and I pray that what is weighing on you will be lifted soon! 🩷
Take care ❤ Good for you for posting here. Do you have a pet? I have a cat and wish I could fi 12:14 nd a groomer that would work with the cat. Even if I could get help with clipping nails. 😢🎉🎉
He was adorable from start to finish!
I love that she did that with his ears during the bath. 😆😆😆 Just like little kids do with bubble suds in the bathtub, hahaha. 😂👌
Sweet and adorable babies. Thank you for all you do.
Yes I needed a reason to smile and this did it we need more Melvin and Ace they make me smile and giggle
I think you are so passionate and caring with all the dogs you groom you are know so much about all the dogs you groom ❤
There was some audio overlap a little after 7 minutes, your course explanation and you talking about towel drying. Love the poms!
What a cute little beast! He’s made my day already. And I love how you groomed him in spite of his alopecia x. ❤
So cute and slightly confused.❤❤❤
Poms are so adorable!
OMG the cuteness of all fluffers at the end 😆 it's cuteness overload 🥰
Poms are the sweetest angels. RIP my lovely angel Coco💔
I love your videos... your voice is so calming. I watch your videos every night to help me sleep. Thank you for being my asmr. 😊
Momo is Japanese for peach . Lots of pets have that name in Japan :)
What a absolutely beautiful little dog Momo is he was absolutely so well behaved in that little bath and on the grooming table you can definitely see the big difference in before and after he looks like a little Tebby Bear despite having Alopecia i would like to take the time out to appreciate all the hard work that Vanessa put's into grooming all these absolutely beautiful Dog's and Cat's as well and I would like to thank Vanessa from all the dog's and cat's that can't say it for themselves because if they could speak they would say thank Vanessa for taking the time out to bath and groom us ... Vanessa you are a absolutely fantastic person with a heart of gold 💛 and I would like to take the time out to appreciate😊💕all the hard💞 work that your Cameraman puts❣️ into filming all these awesome videos💕and also helping you out when you need it your channel's are absolutely amazing i love watching all your awesome video's💞 and Vanessa you are a absolutely fantastic dog groomer keep up the fantastic work Vanessa and your amazing cameraman as well❣️💯💯
My heart dog was a Pom.
He lived for19 years and 11months.
💕💙
Brain injuries are not funny, but the fact that a Pomeranian can sustain one and it just makes them more Pom-like IS kinda funny…
These special little guys are just the cutest muppets 🥰
Had a TBI myself, and glad some people accept others however we come! 👍🙏😎
I do find it nice that she said how easy it is for a pom to get a brain injury. 'Just like Melvin after he fell from the couch'. How many people think it can do no harm if your dog falls off the couch?
