- Since summer is over and we're moving into Autumn/Fall aka Gilmore Girls szn -- i thought i'd do a reading wrap up of all the books i read this summer (June, July & August) and tell you the one's i loved and one's i didn't really enjoy
I read a decent amount of books this summer, mostly literary fiction, a few non fiction and a few audiobooks - but i will say that i read a couple that will 100% be in my top 10 reads of the year for 2024!

This is what we love to hear ☺️🫶 I don’t think there is nearly enough literary fiction booktubers out there! It was a little bit out of frustration of everyone recommending the same books that made me join booktube lol

So glad you enjoyed! I’m always careful what I share in the synopsis of a book because they sometimes give away too much imo and it impacts my enjoyment of the book

If you would like something fictional to complement ‘Empire of Pain’ as ‘trespasses’ did for ‘say nothing’, I would highly recommend Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver!📚✨ lovely video, thanks for sharing!

I read Trespassers last year and it was probably my favorite book of the year. Stunning. How did you find Intermezzo?

I'm reading An Honest Woman by Charlotte Shane, a memoir about her life as an escort. It's pretty good so far and a short read.
This sounds so good and something I’d definitely be interested in reading! Memoirs are some of my all time favourite books to read so I’ll be adding to my list ☺️

A Flat Place is a really good non-fic on audio imo. Will always recommend It’s not about the Burqa and Between the world and me. Plus, Angela Davis on audio is brill as well.
