This is a SuperYacht that is bigger that's its sum of parts. At 73 metres and 2100GT she has a commercially rated heli-deck plus helicopter hangar and refuelling station! This type of facility is only usually found on SuperYachts that are much larger.
Planet Nine also is Ice Rated, meaning she can go to places that other yachts, even much larger ones cannot.

There is another SuperYacht that looks like Planet Nine, and is thought to have been the inspiration for it's design (or did they just simply copy her?) can you name her?

If it looks close enough that you might think that Plant Nine is a copy, I don't know what it is. I'd have said that the hull shape, superstructure location and color scheme make it look like like Andromeda's little brother, though.

I'd personally say planet nine looks like skat, but I've got eyes on different postcodes so don't take my word for it
I would want the Ice rated Yacht all day, ability to explore any where to have less limitations just seems beautiful, practicality over luxury all day.... I mean planet nine is crazy luxurious already and I think the strength of the vessel makes it that much more beautiful
You should offer your services as a consultant to anyone shopping for a yacht. You know so much about what real life is like on these vessels and what issues to look out for. Very interesting.
An early use of the folding deck/elevator arrangement was on the Royal Navy Type 81 Tribal Class Frigates, the first purpose built helicopter equipped frigates. The Westland Wasp helicopter was developed for them as well.
If you could please do a video in M/Y Yersin! It’s a 76m green explorer yacht with 42cm of steel in some areas of the hull plus many other amazing features! I’m sure everyone would get a kick out of it! Keep up the good work brotha!

I do like Planet Nine, seems quite a practical yacht. Almost a little of everything and not super flashy. Saw you first video on this yacht it was very informative.

We have the same taste in boats...planet nine would be my boat of choice...go anywhere boat and love the interior .
I think id take planet 9, i like that its so durable. Although I doubt id actually put that ice rating to the test. Portofino looks fantastic!

Definitely take Planet Nine
Great yacht. Came across it last summer in Southern Turkey and got pretty close to it on a jet ski. Though a boat like that is too big really as the owner could not get into all the bays that I could get into on my significantly smaller yacht.
I'd take Planet Nine when I have a spare $100M laying around.
Better have another ~100M so you can take care of it. The rule of thumb is 10% of value / year running costs for a boat.
just looked at Evinrude website clearance sale - on their advert on website, the outboard looks bigger than the guys boat ... I have a small budget left to buy a boat to go with my outboard .. whod be a billionaire the stress the worry of it all ..

YES!!! Portofino is Fantastic. Spent several days there. Rented a small tender and went up around the coast a short ways. This has been some time ago so super yachts weren't in the picture so much but the ones that did come in were nice. Planet 9--you're right the interior is great what an amazing boat.
That Red MD600N on the helipad has a nominal empty weight of 2,100 (962 Kg) that’s half the weight of a Mercedes Benz G550.
Planet Nine has to be the ultimate bugout vehicle.
I would buy the Planet Nine without a doubt, and live on it year round.

I agree with you and like Planet Nine over Soren. But the boat that stole my heart is Ariete Primo.
Interestingly enough I like racing sailboats, so when I cam across AP I asked myself why do I want to fall in love with a power boat. But the explanation is quite logical. A place for the sailboat crew to stay at on weekends while doing day races.
What to do with AP when I spend my time downhill skiing in the winter months? That answer was simple too, send her down to the Caribbean in the winter months. As a matter of fact, I would love to help with the deliveries back and forth.
So my plan is complete. I just need to win the Powerball lottery big and my dream will come true!
PS I know I will never win, but at least I have a dream for when I buy my lottery tickets,

My son is in the film and tv industry (a locations manager) and his wife (a director) they will only film the scenes that are obviously on the yacht, all the rest will be sets no where near the boat. They probably chartered the yacht for one week, two weeks max.
I was surprised by his naivety here. It's common knowledge that stuff like this is where money is kept tight. They'd work 12+ hour days just to finish filming asap (all else permitting). A boat is mobile of course, but in general to film at a location is expensive not for object rent alone but you also need to send a full crew there, including key actors, that need hotel rooms, food, etc. I reckon the charter would not have taken an hour longer than needed.
If you look at the Sopranos episode where Big P gets whacked by Tony and the crew, they're on a modest motoryacht on the deck, then they go downstairs and it's a freaking BARN down there. :-D

I hope you cross paths with ATLANTE and make a video. She has a very distinctive, unique design, there's lot of content on the interior, and the GA is posted online. I'm sure you will also enjoy the tender garage and could talk to the use of space (over 1k gross tonnage at only 55m).

I'd rather have Planet Nine. Soaring is much more beautiful to look at, but if I had a motor yacht I'd want to travel all over the world and see everything. I'd live aboard permanently and my crew wouldn't just be employed to clean and serve, I'd consider them part of my family and we'd all go on a great exploring adventure together. Well, that's the dream anyway 😁

Re the helicopter in the hanger. Lowering the Heli into the hanger does in fact improve stability but a boat that is more stable. However the boat that is more stable, notwithstanding hull form stability will make the boat roll more. A more stable boat rolls more because the righting movement is stronger. Right?

Nice boat, though. I like explorers a lot, but it's still hard to tell yet if she's really my kind of thing, even if I would have no issues affording her asking price and maintenance.

I'd take Planet 9 over the other one. Save a few million and get a go anywhere yacht that has been where others dont dare to go. Also all the bugs that a new yacht has, has been worked out.

And you're right about the interior decorations on many yachts, most of them are too often too much gold/too much marble/too much crystals/too much dark wood, etc...

Portofino is one of my favourites places on the planet, amazing you got a clip of the restaurant I frequented wow. I have been to Portofino more than 6 times when I worked on the cruise ships, looking at your footage it hasn't changed, I was last there in the summer of 1996 and should be going there first week of Sept (can't wait) on my Europe drive when I will drive about 3700 miles. Thank you for sharing this. Oh I would take Planet Nine without a doubt.
