I love Murder in High Heels. A strip bar in Hanover Ontario had the most beautiful girl dancing to this song when it came out and I can't stop loving this song all these years later.....I am so lonely!
I recall several dancing to “Take it Off” in Atlanta back in the day. Still makes me smile.
I associate I Was Made For Loving You and Heaven's On Fire with a male dancer on a La Bare '84 video my friends and I watched back in highschool. 😂😂😂

It perplexes me why so many peeps hate Crazy Nights-It's in my top 10. AWESOME ALBUM. And.."My way" may just be my favorite. That melody is so fucking strong! The only part of the album I don't like is the chorus of Bang bang you; the verses are strong!

I remember the first concert I ever went to was when I was 15 years old, I saw KISS in Nashville during their first Farewell tour in 2000, I was blown away, so glad I got to see the original line up during that time

I’m apart of the young generation and I KISS is my favorite band ever! I just wanna thank you Ralph because ur videos are entertaining and u and me like the same bands! My favorite KISS albums are Dressed to Kill, Destroyer, Dynasty, Creatures of the night and KISS (the first album) and my favorite songs on those albums are Destroyer- God of thunder, Dressed to kill- Room service, Dynasty- Charisma, Creatures of the night-Killer and KISS- Deuce! I can’t do least favorite on those four albums cause I love them too much! Rock on 🤘

Looking at those album covers, I honestly think Asylum is one of the ugliest album covers ever

You nailed the tune's switch between HTH (my top LP of theirs) and DTK. "She" is doomy, dark while "Comin' Home" will get you "dancing in the aisles", which I recall how Peter Criss described DTK in a "Rock Scene" mag article back in the day.

I've always preferred the studio version of RARAN also. Maybe it's because I first remember hearing it in the opening credits of KISS Meets the Phantom in '78. RARO was my first KISS album, because the cover was spinning in the opening credits, while RARAN was playing, so I thought that was the album it came from. Hey, I was only 9, cut me some slack! LOL

Wow! Thats the first time I ever heard anyone say "eh" about "Got To Choose" , that's probably my all time favorite KISS aong. Probably. It's definitely in the top three. But it's a tough thing you're doing here with a couple of these.. it's tough picking my least favorite songs of the first few albums. It gets easier as they went on 😊. It's funny just last night at work I was talking to a buddy about how when Unmasked came out, my mom took me to the mall to get the album the week it had come out. Back then you would know about release dates and things like that by reading Circus, Hit Parader, and Creem magazines. I remember it was the summer time when it was released, I could go look up the date but I don't want to (😮), I remember that because im pretty sure I was off school. I was a ten year old kid, I had called the record store in the mall to make sure they had the new KISS album. I had all the KISS records at that point and all I did was listen to KISS, play air guitar, draw pictures of them. Every inch of my bedroom walls was covered with posters of them and eventually I made the big decision to cut up my big collection of KISS magazines so I really could cover every inch of my walls. I'm sure Almost Human remembers all of this stuff because he looks close to my age but anyhooo.....back then all the rock magazines were always doing special editions that were all KISS..like all the time and if not, there was guaranteed articles and pictures every month. In the first part of 1980 KISS was still riding high off of Dynasty's success so I think that why they were always being covered in the mags.
God, I miss the days when we had all those rock magazines.
I remember sitting in the car on the way home staring at the Unmasked album cover and being not sure how I felt about it. I think I think deep down I didn't like it but my ten year old, kiss army brain didn't want to admit it to myself. Got it home and loved "is that you?" It rocked and it sounded so different to anything that I really had heard before. It was the way Paul sang in the verses mixed with the production which made it so different to me, I think. Then "shandi" came on and I was like wtf?????.....😂
Trust me when I say it wont be the last time you hear someone say they don't like Got To Choose. I am not alone.

I 100% agree that Comin Home and She should’ve been on the other albums respectively. Comin Home is a great song and I wish Ace and Paul would’ve written more songs together in the later era of the Original 4 line up and even for Psycho Circus
im not a big fan of got to choose as a song , but ace´s lead on it is one of my favorite of his leads , i love the chicken plucking he does on it. it saves the song, otherwise a very bad choice to start the album with, i wouldvd gonewith hotter than hell
i always didnt think much of kissing time but then one day i decided it sounded like a intermission song in the porno movie theatres back in the 70s and it fit in the album, kinda like breather before finishing the album with two more killer tracks

After "Creatures" is where I had to stop following along with you.
The KISS I loved was no more after that. I could've said "Dynasty" cause when Peter left my heart broke. I did give Eric Carr a fair shake & accepted him. After Ace left & the makeup came off is when I stopped buying KISS albums. I never could accept Vinnie... Gee, I wonder why?

It's funny. You haven't opened Crazy Nights and it is the only album (from 1980's and prior) I never replaced over time. That said, I used to play the hell out of it when it was new because I was 14 at the time and was absorbing everything they did. It was also the first tour I saw. The album sucks and the setlist was "meh" but not to me at the time because they were changing my life...it was the best ever. Haha.
I love most of the album and I saw that tour also . Ted Nugent was on his If you can’t lick em lick em tour . It was a great show. I think Joan Jett was the opening band .
@@morbid1 Yeah Nugent opened for them, when I saw them in Toronto. When I found out he was opening, I went out and bought Cat Scratch Fever so I could train my ear. His performance was crazy energetic. Not one of those opening acts that bore you to the beer counter (although I wasn't old enough for that anyways). I'm glad I can say I saw Eric Carr though...that's pretty important, as a fan today, I feel. Anyways, yeah, the Crazy Nights album made my paper route go by faster. Lol

I remember he played a kick ass solo. This album came out when I graduated from my Army training so it’s special to me. Great memories.

I did manage to see the Psycho Circus tour with Ace and Peter so that was pretty important obviously. Paul flew directly over my head which I wasn't expecting at the time. We made eye contact which is kind of a fanboy thing to claim but it made me feel like I did when I was a kid. After that show, Gene tried to bill me $100.00 for that moment...kidding. lol
Then I saw them when they toured with Aerosmith. It was with Peter and Tommy but I have to say that this show was the tightest out of the three shows I saw. There would be a lot of ego on that tour and these guys would all be trying to play better than eachother. I mean, Paul, Gene and Steve on the same bill...Christ. It was a good thing that it was an outdoor show so the fans would be able to be included. Haha.
Anyways so oddly, each of these shows I saw were the best, depending on the context. That said, it was the Crazy Nights show, which up to that point, was probably the best day of my life.

Hard Luck Woman is my favorite KISS ballad.
Almost every kiss album at least 9 out of 10 of them. They always used one song as a filler and it threw the album off a tad bit enough to keep some albums from being an A quality studio album. Dressed to Kill, Creatures, Lick it up, and Revenge were probably the only 4 studio albums they did not just throw any song or cover song in the album list. And those are the only grade A studio albums the rest are B's.
Destroyer good example could be a A plus album. But the song "Great Expectations" does not fit well at all with the rest of the album.

haha great vid! i do agree with some of your picks... i've hated 'rocknroll all nite' for the last 41 years, though... 'Oydessey' is cheesy as all hell- it reminds me of my grabdparents' house, a sad and cold place if there ever was one.. what you said about 'She' and 'Comin' Home' is pure genius. a band like the Melvins should cover 'Hotter...' form start to finish... i really dig 'Danger', a bona fide 80s metal tune- from Creatures, i truly loathe I Love it Loud... i like 'Hooligan'- Peter's drumming is really good there; 'Tommorow and Tonight' and 'Then She...' are the awful ones for me- and 'Almost Human' is a GREAT heavy song, congas and all, BUT mr. Witz blatantly ripped-off Grand Funk's 'Sin's a Good Man's Brother'... Beth and Great Expectations are horrible, they make me wanna wear a bag over my head, to hide my shame... 'See you in Your Dreams' is as stupid as Gene's hair, it goes nowhere fast and maybe it's proof of when older, conservative people used to claim that rocknroll was something created by the CIA in order to turn potentially revolutionary flaming youth into mindless zombies haha... I like all of Ace's 70s/early 80s songs, he was my hero, and his 1978 solo LP is my fave Kiss-related thing ever... Revenge is a glam/hair album that i just don't get, but the drumming is good and 'Unholy' is a Danzig-like dark n' heavy maestrpiece, i must say. instead, Carnival deserves an 8 outta 10, great stuff, except for the one you mentioned and the one that Bruce sings. i actually fell in love with Kiss again thanks to Carnival of Souls- i stopped buying their stuff after Asylum, they were just too poppy and silly-looking for the Black Flag/Celtic Frost thrashin' maniac i had become... blahblahblah... anyway, one of your greatest clips, man!
