Hey buckin, I just want to say thank you sir ! I just received the swag pack I won on the live stream and it is perfect ! I will wear it proudly thank you !!!
I love to hear you telling us the viewer to be respectful to love one another to be kind. With the way the world is just now we sometimes need to be reminded to slow down and love each other. Cheers BBR 👍🇬🇧
I do this to most my buddies at work and make em feel weird for a min till the gears get turnin then after few days of seein who I am and what I’m about it makes em think if nothin else..
Love the videos and instruction brother! can't thank you enough. I recently applied a number of your great instructionals on wedgemanship and chain sharpening and it'paid off on felling 5 massive poplars here in Virginia. I just had one hang up and that was I drove wedge into bar on last and most difficult tree. It was a sweet gun around 15 inches and had a nice lean into his house, I had a stressful back cut as i fed wedges in, and hammered one too far and pinned bar in, now i was screwed and still had 4 inches of hinge left. I did some quick thinking and wedge gymnastics and was able to loosen the pinned wedge and pulled my bar out, i then subsequently drove wedges all the way home and bent over a 4 inch hinge not ideal but she landed exactly where I aimed despite the lean. THANKS!
G'day mate , i was raised on the motto of , do undo to others as you would have them do unto you . Love your channel and it's underlying message of peace and love and humility . Stay cool Buckin . 🤝✌️
Take the high road😊😊❤❤ love it brother!! You could hear that ole 500i changing as it was idling at the beginning, and wowzas...that 86er holds them rpms in that wood!!! GLORIOUS!!!
Wow that’s a big tree I wish they grew like that in Nova Scotia an I would love to cut timber that size . A that 500 I is a very potent saw very impressed with what that saw can do an how it looks like it handles with ease . Like the husky to you could see towards the end of your video you had turned the screw up a bit on husky to get more out of it . Beautiful tree great video can’t wait for the rest of it tomorrow . Be safe !!!
Glad to hear those busted shoulders aren't holding you down Mr. Ray (of sunshine) That is one very intense rehab battle BBR is engaged in Good for you BBR. You are gonna love NS
Buckin, i think i speak for the majority of people watching your videos when i say that ive learned so incredibly much from you! Every single video i learn something new, no matter how small it is. Like start bucking from the top of the tree when you know there is metal in the base :)
Buckin-your words of love and kindness keep me going every day! Enjoy getting up every morning now and watching your videos before I start my day! Keep the faith and words of inspiration coming! Over and out 😊
You need to drive the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton NS while you are there Buckin'. I was there on a job for 6 months back 26 years ago. I loved that place and the people.
I agree with that seeing how I’m from Halifax, herring cove! I think you’re one of those people I’d like to meet Billy anyway what do you do for ticks up there in BC?
Good saws . I don't cut dirt either . I never have cut 5ft. tree . Last summer I cut a 4ft. oak . that was the biggest . I have a 30 in. bar on the old Mac . It was dull at the end . Fun . Thanks ,Billy .
Great video I’m enjoying the process on this log and the different saws that you’re using. If you listen you can tell the difference in each one Love❤ your videos
When I was around 20 yo, my aunt asked me to go around her property line and top every hemlock tree. I went up around 15 feet and topped every one, maybe 30 trees. Today, 50 yrs later, they all have multiple stems growing from where I topped them.
Buckin… you mentioned a Mac 125 chainsaw and interested in learning more about history and popular McCulloch chainsaws. Dad bought a Mac 610 about the year I was born and what I learned to cut with. Robert Paxton McCulloch was known for founding company and bringing London Bridge to Havasu Lake in US. Interested history and would love more on the history of your collection and what McCulloch chainsaws were popular. Great video and nice sequence of processing tree. Thank you.
Drive those big multi headed tress if you can and have a suitable tree to drive them , Years ago A multi headed P radiata nearly go me just got clear in time lucky I was looking up and had a clear escape path you can guess where I come from
Must be so much fun using the tools you love, outside in the sunshine, smelling that wonderful pine 🌲 scented air!! But what’s…scrub, scrub, scrub mean? 🪓🌲
Whoo, I'm here! It's been a while since I've got to watch your channel Buckin and I'm so excited. I also have a query; I've been seeing a video floating around of a particular cut, I think it is called a "tongue and groove" where you make a sort of pivot in the trunk to keep it from rolling. I was wondering how practical it is when falling timber, or if it is mostly for show?
Hey Buckin, I sure like the way the 86er runs. I think building one of those is going to be my winter project this year! By the way I just received the belt I ordered from your store. Fits perfect and looks very nice!!!
Hey buckin you have no idea how bad my trigger finger was itching when I seen that big monster log would of liked to have played dueling saws I would have taken my spicy 395 xp out of hibernation love seeing the huskys out
Hey Buckin, stick with the therapy that is helping your rehab because things get crusty when your joints don't have the right amount of collagen to keep em well oiled. Patience is a virtue that many people did not learn. It's easy to be rambunctious when you're feeling good. Always consult the wisdom of Wendy, she has the bird's eye vision. 🎶👣🕊️
G'day Buckin, I'll take that Fir the Lucas mill eats wood and steel just braze a couple of new teeth on and away you go, unlike wearing a band around your waist. The 86er sounded more normal in the limbing for sure but when you get home you can plug the 500i into the confuser and download an invoice for the customer 👍.
Where do you get your felling dogs for your sthil saw I know they’re is the guilty of treason website and sappy supplies but here in Ireland there is no shops that sell them 😢
We have had 2 trees meet the temple sort for weyauser. On the columbia river port. . They require 32" on small end, 36 foot plus trim, up to 60 foot. And minimum amount of knots. One we sent was 36, the other one just made 40 foot and 32" . They make a big deal out of it, but add a modest $100 per thousand BF. With a little gerrett 15 skidder. Its a massive operation in getting it to the log truck. So i understand why one would make wood out one that big with big limb knots.
Oh yea tree toping, that's some serious bad do-gew. That makes a person think before doing. I normally recommend using a x-torque carb on a modded gen1 372. But I think a carbureted from a 385/390 or 394/395 would be more appropriate in the case of the much higher displacement engine. Keep on doing your thing, love the attitude.
Kinda nice you can use biodegradable oil on property that you're crackin' away at all the time. I don't imagine it'd be a huge difference, but nice to not have to worry about slinging full synthetic around for years.
Numerous reasons... the suckers that grow from the topping are weaker than the other branches, a puddle of water forms in the cut and the tree rots from the top down. The sucker branches turn into multiple leaders and they become dangerous as they snap off in the wind causing possible injuries and damage. When i have topped trees i go back every year to remove suckers and clean out any rot and drain any standing water. Keeping a tree alive that others would cut down is my motivation. In the city the trees need to be maintained or they get too big and dangerous. I've had a few trees die from topping but mostly just prune hard and hope for the best. Yearly pruning is the best for ornamental trees and bushes. Buckin shows great details in some of his pruning videos. Many small cuts instead of a few big cuts. I hope this helps you understand that topping is usually bad. 🌲

that makes me happy Wayne, we love ya
Billy was the man...and still is!
That would have made a nice saw log but I know that's not your thing. Good video as always.
Rot in the crotches of those multi tops is common. Classic examples of what a mess topping creates. But lol glad I saw those huge multitops
I have two maples that were "topped" 25 plus years ago after an ice storm. Now they are that much older and screwed up and in need of removal.
love these videos ;)
Hey Buckin is it possible to get a pipe like your running on the 86er ? Is something like that available?
Hey buckin you have no idea how bad my trigger finger was itching when I seen that big monster log would of liked to have played dueling saws I would have taken my spicy 395 xp out of hibernation love seeing the huskys out

Hey buckin. I'd love to shake your hand while you're here in NS. What part of the province are you coming to?
We have had 2 trees meet the temple sort for weyauser. On the columbia river port.

Hey Buckin. What air filter do you run on that 500i. Do you have like an egan style foam filter on it?
For a jb welded Intake sucking air it's running pretty darn good
Hey Buckin, love the video! How do you like those Pfanner pants?
Have a blessed day and greetings from Germany
like em
Hey Buckin! Just wanted to ask, what kind of fuel mix do you run in your Homelites.
same as every two stroke i own 44:1
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith great, thanks! Have a great day! Or evening or morning!

Hey, Billy.
hey
What brand saw is that your running?
Ahwoooo love it get one 👍
hello friend
Buckin.... Could you possibly get the Stihl 400 and do your magic to it and then compare the 500 to the 400? I think you will be surprised my friend 😁
Kinda nice you can use biodegradable oil on property that you're crackin' away at all the time. I don't imagine it'd be a huge difference, but nice to not have to worry about slinging full synthetic around for years.
the difference is noticeable in a few ways,, love this stuff
Great stuff. Did you drop this tree ?
nope
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith Got ya. Thanks man
That tree is 1.000.000.000.953 toothpicks exactly, I calculated it old school 😂
hahahahaha
14 minutes sounds like it’s struggling with that log.
Hey Buckin, what brand chainsaw pants are you wearing? It doesn’t look like a single chip is sticking to them.
phanner
Who felled it?
My favorite powersaw of all time is tha
PAVAROTTI ❤
one of mine two
Does buckin still have his mint 2100?
of coarse
Awesome! I hope yer shoulder gets better n better
Dam that's alot
Why not use a big block powerhead & at least a 48" bar. I thought you were a west-coaster. Big trees require big equipment & big west coast ideas.
👋🏼.
You need a big skidder brother
Let us know how old it was
guess ,,,, i will
Thanks brother 🙏
