@@vsedai so update...I did keep trying. It only took about one day. I practiced on my way to and from work one day. I totes did it and I feel so great about it!!!
@@victordemarco01 I learned it when I was living early 80s in New Mexico. I heard it at a bar and I was enchanted. I always drag out the spaces between my ending ha..ha...ha. Hella fun. Stay safe.
I would do this with my Uncles after taking a shot with them all the time it’d be so fun and it was like expressing ourselves letting everything out with one yell
Cultural appropriation is an idea spread by neo-segregationists. Cultures have spread and evolved through people who want to emulate them out of appreciation. So doing the grito wouldn't be appropriation, it would be appreciation. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
I heard the Mexican dudes doing this all night when I was locked up in San Diego. As a brother, I couldn't join in with their festivities. I was mad jealous. They always sounded like they were having a ball
I love this! Today I was learning "La Bamba" that was a request from my live stream. My musician friend Zaragosa taught me how to do a grito years ago but I was a bit rusty so your video was a big help :) Thanks so much! Wishing you all the best!
So while in Florida near Disney, I did this during a local restaurant's variety show. It seemed appropriate as there was a Mariachi section. The performer didn't seem to thrilled. I felt bad; like he thought I was heckling. 🇵🇦
I was doing this all night at my house to practice for my singing competition, and my parents were like "what are you doing?" lol. I know how to do a Grito. But it's fun to do it anyways!
dude i cant my increasingly getting deeper voice makes me sound like a dying crow when trying to do this
I'd love to practice, but my apartment has stupid this walls. I'm scared the neighbors will think someone's getting murdered over here. 😃
