How I Fixed My Bleach Damaged Curls

- Here's just a short nutshell on how I brought my use to be nonexistent curls back to some form. I forgot to mention that for the first week of bleaching my hair I had to finger coil my enitre head of hair every single day. It was painful, but here we are! Still healing of course. I hope you all enjoyed my tips!

my hair is the same and my roots have grown in a ton by now, its so funny to see it go from healthy shiny beautiful brown curls to weird bleached frizzy waves lololol

Fuuuuuck....I literally did not put any chemicals in my hair at all for 2 years!!! My hair was so healthy and curls were poppin!! Then I decided I finally needed a change from boring black hair and got it dyed red. The hairdresser used bleach. My curls ain't poppin anymore and my hair is very brittle. I am so mad at myself. I should have just kept my hair black. Never again. Not worth it.
Hi! same here, for me i do color my hair but never bleached. Bleached my hair only recently and my curl patterns are gone :( At least we arent curious anymore. We'll grow it out soon
same here sis, definitely gonna keep the red hair just by applying the colour on my black hair but never bleaching again lol
@@natalia__c red dye won't show up on black hair..unless you mean maybe just for a slight tint that shows in the sun
No bc I bleached money pieces at the front of my hair 2 years ago and then dyed it back to brown and then a couple months after I got highlight and omfg my curls have never been the same and I have no idea what to do. They just won’t curl and they go straight. It’s been at least a year and I cut my hair frequently to cut the damaged hair but it’s not growing out as curly as it used to be. Idk what to do😔

@@lovealexi my hair is dead but I’m finding things that are making it healthier and grow. I did cut 4 inches of dead hair off and it’s growing better

My mom forced me to go to a salon so they could dye my hair cause I shouldn't do it at home. They completely fried my hair and now it's dry and lost all of its volume so I really hope your tips work

Patience is key! Usually after dying your hair you should see your curl pattern after two weeks, just remember to use moisturizing masks and a protein mask if needed!

i regret bleaching my hair, after keeping it shaved for 2yrs and then growing it out for 2yrs. My hair was past armpit length (when straight) and THRIVING, I mean I only bleached it once cuz I wanted like an burnt orange/red vibe not anything too bright. But I haven’t had chemically damaged hair since I was 15 so it really makes me sad :( it’s not terrible but it’s not my super super curly 3a-3b hair type

I learned in addition to aphogee or olaplex and protein treatments and etc that y’all can use perm rods or flexi rods to give your hair the curls shape when it’s like that
WITHOUT PERM CHEMICALS let me reiterate
There’s nothing better for bleached hair than deep conditioning overnight with a plastic bag on your hair
what do you use to deep condition
@@marniegrace4578 Garnier damage repairing papaya mask is pretty good and it’s only 5$. There’s no protein in it tho so for protein I use TGIN curl protein reconstructor, it’s 15$
@@marniegrace4578 you shouldn’t leave a mask that has protein for longer than 30 minutes tho
@@h0neymourn207 bleach breaks down the proteins tho so a one time application of an over night mask would be fine
I’ve have been suffering from heat damaged for awhile and then I decided to bleach my hair :| light freaking blond and my hair is BLACK now I chopped all my hair off :) and my hair still dry and gross but the curl is coming back so slowly. I have been doing diy masks but I get yelled at lmao so I’m struggling badly😭 this helps so much I can’t even tell you how much

I bleached my hair for the first time two days ago and and I’m crying so bad because I washed my hair for the first time today after I bleached it and it my curls didn’t come back they’re like completely gone I tried the thing that never fails: gel and it still doesn’t work it’s still not curly and it’s dry please help
Girl no worries my curls were completely gone too, I couldn’t do my normal hair routine because my curls would just frizz out and had no shape. What I had to do was buy a curling custard from miss Jessie’s and I used that product to finger coil each curl and that would be my wash and go for about four days. I would repeat finger coiling my entire head for almost two weeks until I saw my curls come back and I didn’t have to finger coil anymore. But first do a protein mask before freaking out, (I didn’t and that’s why i had to finger coil for two weeks) and or buy olaplex no. 0 and no. 3 (it’s bond repair) and I swear you’ll see some curls return after the first use.

Wait so washing once a week.. do I just wear a shower cap so it doesn’t get wet or something ? Then I style it as usual after my shower ? Because I heard too much water isnt good either
yes. every time I shower or take a bath I wear a plastic cap unless I'm going to wash my hair. not the person in this video, but that's an easy solution for not getting your hair wet when you dong want to
You could wear a plastic cap or put it in a quick pineapple, I have one of those shower heads that you can manually put in your hand so it makes it a bit easier to not get my hair wet

Well my hair is bleached but it was diy and it messed up so the front of my hair is lighter but mostly wavy straight while the back is darker (still blonde) but really nicely 2c curly. Should still lighten the back parts to make it even

I tried dying mine maroon and not only did it not turn maroon, it damaged my hair cause I bleached it before hand- Im trying whatever I can at this point bc I want my pretty curls bk
once the damage is done, there is no going back.
What do you do to keep your curls at night
Ahpogee isn’t worth it. Just buy Olaplex 3 to wet hair for 10 full min then wash as normal.
Using both is best.

It depends on a lot of factors. For me personally it took about a year to get my natural hair back completely because i was coming back from 15 years of straightening and bleaching.

olaplex repairs damaged hair. i think no 3 and 5, but i could be wrong (also it’s expensive)

I did only the egg yolk for moisture, I had done a protein mask before so I knew I didn’t need the egg white to give my hair a good balance💕

How long did it take for your hair to revert
Took me two weeks after bleaching it to see my curl pattern return (mind you I never did a protein mask, or a bond repair mask) so if you do a mask you should see quicker results. I also finger coiled my hair religiously for those two weeks
