- The Ultimate Summer Camp Jeep has axles by Spidertrax and I found the front needed the CTM Ujoints rebuilt and some seals replaced. This episode is part 1 of the rebuild with the disassembly steps.
I originally had edited it all as one really long video, but decided to chop it up into three different videos, a new one every day for three days. If you don't like cliff hangers wait three days and I'll be posting the full hour+ long video then.
and if you are looking for a Spidertrax axle of your own visit

I don’t mind 1 hour long videos Especially when I am learning things from a master like you!
I love the shots when you're looking for your flashlight and know you just had it. I'm constantly finding myself in the same situation when I'm working on a project.
Whole hour is a good idea for this type of repair/rebuild. It will not be boring.
As always very informative and entertaining, keep up the good work Fred...
Dude!!! Nice job on the step by step on the aftermarket diffs !!!✌️
This is awesome!! I like the series setup too!! Thanks Fred 👍🏻👍🏻
Fred your awesome man. I’m really glad you made your own channel. Same with Dave you two are great fun to watch. And part 1 and 2 within 20 hours of each other is a good Saturday morning
I saw your Jeep at Trail Hero in a vendors booth. Love the green PRP seats!
I have always enjoyed your content from dirt every day to current hour-long videos would be great
Good stuff Fred, many thanks for sharing.
Very educational and interesting, thanks for sharing!
An hour long video is good like every other video. Love the 30 to 40 minute video
Always enjoy your videos. Lots of info & good humor. Thanks & keep 'em rollin'
Doing a great job...enjoy your channel...
Great stuff Fred!
good stuff , really informative , thank you .
Nice one fred enjoyed that
Thanks Fred!
The old Rose gun...Dad has one back in the day.
Fred ' you want to keep track of your hardware ' ..... a few mins later Fred ' where the heck is my flash-light ' ...... Fred proving again how relatable he is .. lol
and ... i ( like i guess most of Fred's subscribers ) used to watch every episode of Dirt Every Day & i'm sure some of them were fairly long
This was a giid video. Better than some others. 👍
Glad to see im not the only one to put stuff down and have them walk away haha. Curious how those HI 9's deal with pinion walking up the ring gear.?
1) seals are cheap. Why not just replace them all since your in there?
2) spidertrax recommends a “non high temp grease” to lube the axle seals when you assemble them. I asked them about this and got a recommendation of sta-lube super white lithium grease. So far after 1 season my rear spidertrax axle is looking great, no leaks.
3) what gear oil (weight and brand) do you run with your gearworks 10”? I just got my new HP gear works diff for my front axle build. I was surprised to see they wrote “only use 250wt oil” all over the box. 250wt is pretty thick! Id love to know what you run.
I run Maxima 250 weight oil, I did actually swap all the seals.
Longer the video the better!
For a moment, while searching for your flashlight, you became a Gary Oldman character lol
How you doing Fred. Keep it up man.
Like it
Love your videos, they're always informative. However I lack the attention span for most hour long videos. Unless it's Dirt Every Day, those could've been 4 hours and I'd have watched.
👍
Do you prefer a harbor seal or an Antarctic fur seal ?
👍👍😎
We have been asking 😂for years what's wrong with Fred. 😂
Vote for the whole hour
Fred, you need to hit up Bunker Branding for your Merch!
Great vid, as always. But, knowing what I now know about the smell of gear oil, I'm really surprised that you're doing this kind of job without gloves. Yuck.
The more Fred the better.
Fred, i think adding some background music to your tutorials would make your channel fenominal!
Or leave it so people can hear what you are saying.
