Bob was in great form that day. What a great clip. Talking and joking with the audience, playing up his mistake, building suspense for the win. This is why he will always be known as the Greatest of All Time. Wonderful clip. Keep them coming.

Did Bob try to influence the outcome of the game? Reacting to that one change...that was right.
Poor Bob. I think from now on he should wear a suit of armor to protect himself from being squeezed too hard by women (especially Samoan).
There was one time, in Bob's later years on The Price is Right, a contestant was playing the "switcharoo" game. She didn't win the car, HOWEVER, the price of the car on the outside of the game was different than the price when it was flipped. So, what does Bob do? He turns to the studio audience and says, "you know what I'm going to do? I'm giving her the car anyway." And the whole studio audience goes nuts. Bob Barker will ALWAYS be the true showman when it came to The Price is Right. Ringling Brothers had P.T. Barnum for a showman. The Price is Right had Bob Barker.

Anyone know whether we are watching the original uncut tape here? It seems that some of the fun moments in contestants row would have been cut for televising on CBS in the interest of time-saving.
Its been said that Bob was an expert in ending the show perfectly on time and there was never any editing for time necessary. My guess is that the show was ahead of schedule and Bob needed to waste some time. Someone would have to watch the whole episode and see if the games before this ended abnormally quickly.
@@electricwombat5967 He really was and preferred to do things as live to tape as possible, something that becomes much more noticeable in later years when the time of the show decreased to under 40 minutes. You'd see him rush through segments and closes a lot, also no monologues were seen at all outside of special occasions (premieres, milestone shows, etc), from about 1995 onward. It was straight into the first item up for bid once he welcomed everyone to the show. Only time any editing was ever done was if a game malfunctioned (as seen with Any Number in a Los Angeles Talk of the Town segment on the show in 1980), or if there were some other error that warranted it. Otherwise, what you saw on air was what you got. I miss that, show changed a lot when that changed. I miss that element in game shows in general really, many in the 70's and 80's were done similar, very minimal editing.

I miss this kind of banter. Drew just doesn't have the time to make good jokes like Bob was here because of the increased amount of ads. It's just rush, rush, rush, and the show suffers for it. It's still fun, but the need for more ad revenue has created a paradox: They need more time for commercials, which itself fuels the disinterest that causes the need for that ad money in the first place. Corporate America, sigh...
All very true. But also let's be honest. Drew, with all do respect just isn't a entertaining host like Bob was .

This is one of those easy to figure out games...if you have a sense of which two prizes are more expensive than the other two. Just stay calm...and the correct order will appear...just remember where you had the prices and if you get only two right on the first run, you will win! Love that Bob accidentally reacted when she was doing that last run.😂💲
