Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Scrapman failing to think of simply adding weight in the bottom in order to increase stability is quite the joy

He could've also made it so that the pistons being extended was the compact version so he didn't have such a problem when spawning in, and it would've made it possible to have less complexity for more length, then again the entire truck was not that great for the task
I've built a lot of cars with a weight on each wheel and they're usually the most stable things I make. The trick if you have suspension is to put the weight between it and the wheel, not on the vehicle itself.
scrapman driving up to buildings and accidentally vaporising chirpos is pretty on par with his previous rescue performance

You should do a Top Gear style challenge where you all build cars in secret. Meet up online and show off your cars. Then you have to adapt them to complete a random challenge that someone outside comes up with in secret. Or you could build a car for each other. You have to modify the vehicle you’re given to complete a series of challenges
A Police Chase would be nice.

Do a rescue in the space map, even better you and Yzuei can put like those space safety pods on the planets, so you will need to build spaceships that can work in different atmospheres and gravity. But maybe do one planet at a time
Adding more gyro stabilizer instead adding more weight on the bottom of firetruck is definitely an interesting solution
Watching Scrapman struggle with controlling his vehicle's mass made me think of the Brennan Monorail, an IRL train that used gyros to balance on a single standard train track. It was so powerful that even having all the passengers stand on one side wouldn't tip it.
If Trailmakers ever adds train tracks he should totally recreate it.
Could you imagine drift spleef? Big map, slidy cars. Maxed out electric motor for rear wheels and gas on front wheels. If you really want, you could use Kan's auto-steering tech. The video would be awesome, and you could get some killer thumbnails.
Wouldn't you want the gas wheels on the back so they spin at high speed?
probably gonna need some modded spudguns to destroy the blocks fast enough.

@bradShank Instant torque on the rear wheels makes them really slidy in Scrap mechanic, I've tested it.

Crane battle by magnets trying to put people off the island ScrapMan?
Challenge idea, who can make the best police car for a game of cops and robbers, one person drives a police car who rams into the bandits, the cop is slightly faster and has infinite respawns, and everyone else drives bandit cars with a couple of minutes for a head start and only one life, the amount of time for the head start and whether or not the bandits create their own car, and the limitations regarding size and power cords, is all up to you, the officer that gets all bandit players in the least amount of time wins.
Rules I’ll put in place, no weapons like guns or missles, no energy shields, no broken glitches (obviously) no flying parts, and no explosives
You should continue the fire truck theme and make fire fighting boats. have multiple blasters glitched into each other and each one set on a delay so it fires just after the one before to make a constant stream. then use this "hose" to put out the fires. the fires would be basic blocks anchored around the map that you have to destroy to put the fire out. Have it as a race who can put out their fires the quickest. have each round be in a different area of the map. for example you could each have one side of the aircraft carrier. For a bonus round / Tie breaker you could then turn offensive and attack each other and last man floating wins.
Scrapman doesn’t seem to be able to rescue chirpos effectively
In all honesty, ScrapMan is just overusing the new gyros just because they are there. I think it stopped him from thinking of just using 4 post stab stabilizers as the real-life firetrucks do. I could understand the driving issue, but I agree with the comment section's decision to add more weight to the bottom.
a cool idea would be a garbage truck challenge! you have to go and gather up trash/trashcans/dumpsters!
I would love to see a "return to defaults" option for pistons and servos. With that option, you could set it to bring your ladder in and down while you drive back. Also, you probably could have put more weight in the bottom of your truck to stabilize it better.
Dumb idea: You and Yzuei have to build “rescue” planes and try to save chirpos that are floating away (at a fixed altitude of course) on balloons. The planes have to be able to grab the chirpo balloons mid-air when you without destroying them and land with them (once you get below a certain altitude, the balloon automatically detaches and leaves the base with the chirpo on it).

If I ever need rescue I hope Scrapman wouldn't be one to come to rescue me. It seems he goes with "They don't need rescuing if they are dead "method

Interesting information older firetrucks had steering in the back as well as the front but the rear steering was done from the back that's why people would ride in the bucket obviously it was super sketchy up there but then again they also rode in seats on the front bumper lol

Might be impossible to do...but rescuing from hovering blimps/balloons with a fly past in a plane!? Shoot something off then catch them!? I dunno. Love this rescue concept as an idea. Something for MM as well in scrap mechanic?
Rescue with SUPER easy to fly/hover craft, but you have only one magnet... and it dangles on 5 or more power couplers below the aircraft... each round having lower stiffness on the couplers making lining up and flying back harder each time.
Many chirpos were harmed in the making of this video
One idea I have would be to tow a large ship and bring it into port with different types of wind and perhaps the size of the ship :D
I'm surprised neither of ya thought of having the Ladder Extending also extend out a counterweight in the opposite direction. ;)
Also, inspired by this Vid, my Vid Suggestion: "Who can build the best Rescue Helicopter for Airlift Rescuing wrecked damsel in distress-style Rescue Vehicles after they suffered various kinda of 'unfortunate events' ranging from Ladder Glitch Out to flopping over onto their sides/roof to falling into dastardly hazards...?" Who are the Rescuers who rescue the Rescuers after those Rescuers get themselves in trouble trying to figure out how to get others outta trouble? Let's give that Theme more attention! :P
OH OH! What if you placed chirpos with flares on the mountainy bits and did forest/mountain helicopter rescues! Or like an all in one rescue vehicle with a rescue triathlon or something?
As an idea You Guys can do rescue snowmobiles to tow behind sleds with Chirpos laying on them. 😊 And do it for snow island with some high altitude rescue points.
rescue vehicle suggestion? ...... high-speed pickups. some kind of toggled engines that ensure you wont drop below a certain speed, and while going at that speed, you must reach out and grab a chirpo who needs to get somewhere as quickly as possible.
Day 18 of staying up till 4:00am to catch the latest scrap man video, until he notices me. Might I add that as I’m typing this I got the notification that this video was posted😂

Day 3 of asking ScrapMan to do Multiplayer Monday in Trailmakers King Of The Hill with Yzuei and 1-3 other friends.
I think this was a inconclusive battle of resque do to the glitchy chirpos . Next rescue should be boats and it should be a 3 rounds day 3 rounds night with the changeing waves
They could’ve used the hoverpad glitch to stick themselves to the grpund XD

Fun fact, an english style fire truck is a fire engine.
In America fire trucks and fire engines are technically two different things but the terms are commonly used interchangeably by people not in the fire service. Fire trucks carry equipments such as ladders, special rescue equipment and other special firefighting tools while fire engines carry a lot more water and are capable of hooking up to hydrants or other water source and can pump water.
There are also other kinds of trucks used by fire departments, such as aerial ladder trucks (just a really big ladder), tankers, sometimes called tenders (carries a lot of water for situations where hydrants aren't available), and quints (has a smaller aerial ladder than an aerial as well has a small water tank) just to name a few.
So, technically what Scrapman built here could possibly be considered a small aerial ladder truck or maybe a quint.

You should try to hook a raft or vehicle into the air using a rescue plane - similar to what you did with helicopters but hooking onto the rafts with planes.
I have an idea for a rescue video, basically just the rescue helicopter video except instead of 2 helicopters there will be a monster and a rescuer, with the monster having to destroy the chirpos while the rescuer tries to save as many as they can. I think the rescue vehicle should have weapons to slow down the monster and force it to repair.
TL;DR: basically recreate the rescue trailer but as a contest

Throw a bunch of chirpos into a hole and then make it a competitive crane game 👀 Obviously no magnet, gotta have the chirpos falling out be part of the challenge 🙂
Also an idea for something else:
Do the same challenge in 3 environments, chosen randomly after the one before, but you have to adopt the prior build, without deleting anything from it, to the new environment.
Example: First environment is "air" so you build e.g. a plane. then after the first challenge you get underwater, so you add things to your plane that it can function as a submarine.
What counts as an environment or what challenge to do this with I don't want to spend to much time thinking about, but just the idea of having to fix your old vehicle into a completely different style sounds funny to me. More then 3 would probably not be possible, just because you would start becoming really big 👀
Rosenbauer is probably the best builder of fire trucks. That's the answer.

Feels like he got the whole weight issue a bit backwards, given how much the vehicle was tipping and tilting like it was weightless.
Scrapman! I need to fix your firetruck.... Suspension be wobbly! I fix it. I Designed "SwayCouplers" (type that into workshop). That suspension will fix all your problems! Power Couplers make great sway bars! You can make it simpler too, but that one ^ triples up the suspension for heavier trucks and such
No gyro stabilizers either
OH! In case the game resets things.... There should be NO CONTROLS on the gyros or the inner hinges that touch the power couplers

I have a great build battle idea. Trailmakers RC battle. you use the RC glitch and make cars to battle.
Emergency Service Personnel (ESP): "911. State your emergency."
Me: "Yeah, I'm here on a burning building."
ESP: "The one we got word about 15 minutes ago?"
Me: "Yeah. I'm now on the roof. It's hot. Flames are everywhere. There's like 5 of us up here."
ESP: "Sir, you need to calm down. We have rescue teams on site and they will be with you as soon as they can."
Me: "That's my emergency."
ESP: "I'm not sure I understand, sir."
Me: "I just watched Scrapman vaporize 2 people on other rooftops and now he's pulling up to my building. Please send someone else."
ESP: ".....Sir, this is Domino's... Sir?"
And I was never seen nor heard from again making this comment even that more stupid and confusing.

What about an underwater rescue mission.
It wad fitting with Scrapmans being larger than Yuzies since american fire trucks usually are bigger than European ones.
You should try to do something like having to save churpos in helicopters while you are flying a plane or something like that

Both you and yuzei seemed to have forgotten that ladder trucks have the stabilizers by the back not the front/middle
I actually think, if you placed the engines on the front, and maybe put some weight blocks centered in the base of the truck, that would have helped a lot with stabilization, your truck it's too top heavy
Space map escape pod rescue.
BUILD ultimate cargo challenge: you have cargo planes and inside are little cargo lifters then goal is to transfer massive boxes from point 1 to point 2 without repair midway. Only one player to make their own set and who is the fastest wins. Best map would be the peaceful airborne for the runways. The boxes must be properly towed in and out the planr
I did this and the challenge here would be when exiting the vehicle it destroys the outer vehicle.
PLEASE do a small fleet battle on the ocean with power cupplers attaching them together

Hide and rescue: hide a seek but the seaker has to "rescue" the hiders. Seaker has to have hud off hiders have to have a flare to identify their hiding locations.
Could be land, sea, or air rescue options. For multiple iterations. Land or sea might be best as a first time multi player test.
I was thinking a cops and robbers kinda game where someone has a getaway vehicle and 2 other people have a police car to catch the getaway car because they stole a chirpo trophy. Simple really. it sounds fun and could possibly create some humorous content.
firetruck sumo on the race loop? gotta win the race around it but you can also use melee and tractor beams to push each other off or crash?

So. A simple solution for your issue would be make it longer and wider with some extra weight blocks to lower your center of gravity
Scrap man, you should play from the depths, it is definitely so you might like it, but it is a bit more complicated than scrap mechanic or trailmakers.

You chould have doubled up the shocks... or tripled. I would have had the ladder fixed forward only. You really should have put those stabilizers behind the back tires.
Weight and raw engines would have solved your problems. The raw engine's low accel keeps you from bucking like a bronco.
