@@lyndakorner2383 well if you really try to understand what LLM is and its distinction with end to end neural nets which tesla FSD applies, you will realise these two are different models of AI. Well they're trying to shift towards being an AI/robotics company. It's for you to decide if you think they will succeed in this and choose to bet on the company or not. However you can always wait and let Tesla prove themselves first but at that time when there's proof the stock price has gone up because everyone knows about it and at that point your risk is much lower but so are your potential gains as well. We all knew that NVIDIA was going to produce AI chips and they were extremely bullish on them and you could have bet on the company when the stock price was somewhere between $110-$350. Of course there are no guarantee of success or failure but at least they're trying and based on Elons track record I wouldn't bet against him.

Tesla already has experience from mass production & scaling a business with highly efficient factories but also $30b cash and little to no debt. Most of the AI competition have cool looking products but no expertise in manufacturing, they're not profitable and they have debt and need to raise capital. It's really not much of a risk when Tesla is just re-investing some of their current profits into R&D and if it doesn't end up working they can always stop and save money by reducing R&D expenses and make more profit for shareholders. On the other hand if it does work then it'll create lots of value for the shareholders. I personally want to be invested in a company that is innovative and takes calculated risks but I guess it's not for everyone.
Tesla sales in China in Q2 2024 seem to sink even deeper than in Q1. Again -50% YoY for week ending Apr 21 and 13.4k cars sold in the last three weeks. They should have done the same in one week. Tesla has been prioritizing firing Indian engineers at least in California. One of the fired engineers shares surname with the Indian PM Musk planned to meet. Which may explain the cancellation of Elon's India trip.
Absolutely ridiculous take on Tesla. What makes them the purest AI play? Elon’s promises? If you look at what they’ve actually done, not promised, what makes them the purest AI play? Robots? Terrible. FSD? Glorified cruise control that they make people pay for? Data gathered by cars? I’ll give them that. Dojo? Yeah right. This is a pure auto company if you remove Elon’s promises and look purely at what they’ve done.
