  • Bespoke Glove Sizing
Of the many inputs needed to make a personalised and bespoke pair of leather gloves, the most important is the size. The best method to ensure a perfect fit is to trace your dominant hand as shown, marking all the key areas. Your ‘glove size’ refers to the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles, in inches. Traditionally this would have been measured in French Inches, which differ slightly. Once all these measurements are sent, construction can begin.
Other inputs for a bespoke glove include style, location of vent, fixture type, and stitching colour. These are more aesthetic but can help tailor your gloves to your exact taste.

Great video tutorial but I gotta ask, what's the purpose for the knuckle/hand diameter?

Good question: the overall circumference of your hand at the knuckles is your 'glove size' - and dictates which overall template I use - it's measured in French Inches, or, failing that, normal inches. So, for example, my 'glove size' is 8 1/2 " - so I'd use my 8 1/2 template and make amendments/tweaks from there. Hope that helps

To build on this: measure from your dominant hand: it's usually a little bigger

@@DEL8TE Thanks. Not meant as a tutorial, but if it helped, great. Good luck with the gloves!
