And here we are seven years later we’re curious if you’ve ever had to buy a pin bushing, a crossbar and how many duty cycles does she have? We are willing to bet that our unit is the only unit in the world that can have this type of duty cycle and longevity for its customers!🫡🫡🫡💪💪💪
PLEASE Excuse my Language. but MIKE your a FUKN BEAST MAN this guy gives it to you Straight. and he is a Master at this you and your Crew are hands down the Best. I never seen anything in my 24yrs
Absolutely…there would be an additional charge. How much? No idea till someone actually requested when building one. We sandblast and powder coat out steel components and have never had an issue since we switched to SBPC
We do not install counter weights no sir. We do not like them we prefer to install our units on trucks that do not need a counterweight. Call us anytime to discuss 313-835-8700 ask for Mike.
Your right but...That particular truck is a Centurion conversion F550 that has a 19,500 GVWR. So its kinda impressive to see what our units are capable of =)
@@mikeford675 You should see our new 2.0 version...has a 5" bore Up/Down cylinder! #LilHerc will work circles around any wrecker body or competitors unit that is similar to ours by far, in regards to duty cycle, lift capacity (10,000lb Tow Capacity, 5,000 Lift Capacity) All wreckers have plastic wear pads and inferior pivot pins for the sole purpose of replacing them. Plastic wear pads have no structural purpose for lifting/towing a car/truck. Lil Hercules being $17k not installed compared to a $40k wrecker bed. A big difference in price, duty cycle and not having to deal with the downtime or replace the costs of pivot pins or plastic wear pads. Plus the fact your driving in a comfortable truck that rides like a sofa, not a brick-like a wrecker. Not to mention our LH 2.0 now has 5” bore Lift cylinder. That means it’s stronger than any wrecker out there, that’s mounted on a 450-550 chassis. Obviously excluding med duty wreckers that are mounted on F650 of similar chassis. But that’s my point! We are the first to over-build the application to this degree. Unlike anyone, anything, or anywhere else. We have thicker tubes, bigger cylinders, a superior pin system, no wear pads. You can’t afford not to have one of our units IMO. The Lil Hercules Wheel-Lift is the only unit in the world that can: It has a 5" bore Lift Cylinder & can lift a diesel from the front fully extended. Biggest Lift Cylinder for the application. When it's overbuilt, it will last forever!Thickest Tubes, period! Our units boast a 3/8 thick tube plus a 3/16 thick steel wear pad. That's over 1/2" thick in some areas of the tubes. Unbreakable and overbuilt! The only unit that has a twin hex pin system that can tighten its main pivot points. Crossbar and L Arms have adjustable pivot points. They tighten! Grease & tighten this system, and you will never need to buy a replacement! Guaranteed! Need References, we got'em! The only unit with bronze oil-lite bushings at every critical pivot point is pineye seals, otherwise known as oil seals. This keeps the weather elements out and the grease in. No other manufacturer takes the time to do this for its customers. The only unit that has a lifetime warranty on pins & bushings w/ proper maintenance. We have taken such precautions that the end result is our units are overbuilt. The only unit that has steel wear pads, eliminating the useless plastic ones others have. There is no structural purpose for plastic wear pads to tow a car/truck. They are solely designed to cost you $$$ annually. NEW! Double Motor Electric Hydraulic Pump. Our unit is now the fastest on the market! The only unit with an Electric PTO w/ a 10 min duty cycle as opposed to a 3 min that other use.
@@detroitwrecker I’ll take a look at them, however in the modern world where everything is all wheel drive, a selfloader isn’t really needed. It isn’t that fun to dolly stuff either!
No sir sure don’t. We hardly ever see our stuff being sold as used due to the longevity of the unit. They just keep going and going. It is rare to find them used.
Walter Butler we do not have a dealer in that area. We would suggest driving to Detroit for us to perform the installation and frame reinforcement and spring reinforcement. We will drop you off at the airport and we will pick you up from the airport when we're finished with your truck that is typically the procedure.
Ive been toldthey say 7-10 days but you get your truck in there and they are so backed up they just delay and keep apologizing could take 3 weeks or more. Is that bad information or am I correct?

@@detroitwrecker Yea, we have a intruder 812 (Vulcan) and it stops the hydraulics picking up another selfloader from the rear.

how hard is it to get into towing/ recovery
Ain't nothing to it...but to do it!
+Detroit Wrecker awesome thanks for the quick respond love the vid not very many ppl straight forward and it's built is the US correct? got my sub
yup. gotta say... love our little herc. just wish i didn't have to tow so damned many 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicles...
Fairly medium. You gotta get your Hand on a truck, then gotta find jobs/work and build your company up.
Are those pulse mig welds?
Ryan M yes
I thought so... Looks like a nice setup! I have a buddy that owns a towing and recovery company and I'm going to show this to him.
Ryan M thanks 🙏 so much. We truly appreciate it!!!
How much money the costs

I have an 08 450 pick up, would you need to do a frame reinforcement on it?
Depends...if the frame is 34" wide and straight c channel, then no. If it is the Pick Up Truck Frame that's 37" wide then yes!
Detroit Wrecker when I get a chance I will have to bring it in to see what needs to be done, in those regards.

Can we install this on a 2010 Toyota Tundra?
No sir...we do not recommend installing any unit on any truck that is not at least a 10,000 lb GVWR. Toyota tundra def does not have a 10k GVWR
