I have a story about this. I was taking a trip my senior year of hs all the way up the rivera, from Nice to Paris. Me and a few of my classmates went. When we made our way up to Lyon, we only had time for dinner and a little extra shopping because we were late. When we were at dinner, my friend Emma informed us about the fire. We thought it was a joke until we actually saw on the news the footage. The thing is, we were supposed to go there *the next day* and it was something we were all looking forward to. We did get to walk around the other side of the river and take pictures of the aftermath though. I hope someday soon it will be open again.
I was there when it happened. Me and my family went to Paris for vacation in 2019, and the last day of the trip we saw the fire up close, we weren't too close, but we saw the smoke coming from the building and into the sky. It was a devastating sight, and I'm glad they are rebuilding it.
I heard about that dreadful incident at the famous cathedral in Paris, France 🇫🇷 in spring 2019. It was absolutely horrendous. But luckily nobody got injured during the fire incident. Thank God! By the way one of my friends told me that earlier I think. I remember I visited Notre Dame Cathedral in autumn 2007 when I was a teenager and it was a beautiful cathedral. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪

The mainstream media is promoting the conclusion that the Notre Dame fire was an accident. Stefan Molyneux gave reasons for why arson is an equally valid conclusion. Both "it was an accident" and "it was the result of arson" are conclusions. Neither of them is a default position. The default position, in the absence of evidence either way, is to say "I don't know." Full stop. When someone promotes a conclusion for which there is no evidence, the first thing to suspect is that the promoter has a political motive. Unless the accident-theorists can show pictures of spark-throwing bare electrical wires in proximity to dry wood in the attic of the cathedral, or some evidence of equivalent quality, then there is no good reason to suppose that the fire was an accident. Unless the arson-theorists can show evidence that someone was in the cathedral after the fire started, or that traces of kerosene or some other accelerant was present in the cathedral attic, then there is no good reason to suppose that the fire was started by an arsonist. Until evidence is found, the only proper attitude is "I don't know." That's as true for the accident-theorists as it is for the arson-theorists. The haste with which the mainstream media and the government declared that the fire was an accident is very suspicious. That conclusion (if it is true) should have been the result of a fire marshal's investigation. The only way the media or the government would have any special knowledge about the cause of the fire, before an investigation was completed, is if they knew in advance that it would occur, in which case the fire certainly would not have been an accident. No one would have any information about the cause of the fire, so quickly after it started, if it were accidental.
Stefan Molyneux also keeps trying(and failing) to prove that IQ has something to do with race, then whines like a stupid kid when you call him racist. That, and other things.
@@deyudeic Hold on. I _don't_ think Stefan Molyneux is a racist. When he relates the facts about differences in average IQs between the races, he isn't being a racist. He's just telling you what the truth is, according to the empirical evidence. It just so happens that the RACISTS are the ones who have been telling _that particular truth_ for the longest amount of time. Racists observed racial differences in intelligence through everyday interracial experience long before the psychologists came along with their carefully prepared tests to measure the same thing and reach the same conclusion. IQ _does_ "have something to do with race." Specifically, intelligence is around 80% genetic, meaning that there are genes that occur in the DNA of humans that strongly affect the ability of our brains to think, to solve problems, to catch on to unusual circumstances and proceed accordingly. In every part of our genetic code that contributes toward making a powerful brain, there are several variants of the gene that belongs there. The name for these gene variants is alleles. Here's a bit of math to show how a normal distribution for intelligence, within a race, can arise from biological inheritance, and for why the races differ in their average intelligence. Suppose that there are ten locations on the human DNA that pertain to intelligence. I don’t know how many such locations actually exist, but for the purpose of illustration, let’s assume that there are ten. Suppose, further, that there are 11 different alleles (variants of a gene) that would be candidates to fit on each of those ten locations on a strand of human DNA. I don’t know how many such alleles actually exist, but we’ll assume for the sake of argument that there are eleven of them for each location. We’ll imagine that some of these alleles are more potent in creating an intelligent brain than are some of the others. Indeed, we’ll assume that one of the alleles that can occur in a location will contribute no IQ points at all. This allele is a dud. The second of the alleles that can occur at the same location provides 2 IQ points; the third provides 4 points; the fourth contributes 6 points; the fifth contributes 8 points; the sixth contributes 10 points; the seventh provides 12 points; the eighth grants 14 points; the ninth applies 16 points, the tenth bestows 18 points, and the eleventh and strongest allele kicks in 20 points. If, by an amazing coincidence, a person inherited at conception the most potent allele at all of the intelligence spots on his DNA, he’d have an IQ of 200 and be a super-genius. But, of course, that isn’t very likely. Just for example, suppose that, at conception, a member of Race A has a 9% chance of getting any of alleles #1-#5 or #7-#11 and a 10% chance of getting allele #6 at each of the ten locations. A random sample of one million individuals from Race A might have this spread of IQ: Race A. n=1000000 average IQ = 100.0 IQ range, number individuals in range: 0 to 10, 0 10 to 20, 7 20 to 30, 55 30 to 40, 671 40 to 50, 3724 50 to 60, 14606 60 to 70, 40997 70 to 80, 87945 80 to 90, 114389 90 to 100, 187760 100 to 110, 191867 ← biggest bin 110 to 120, 155869 120 to 130, 98898 130 to 140, 48651 140 to 150, 18460 150 to 160, 5012 160 to 170, 969 170 to 180, 113 180 to 190, 7 190 to 200, 0 That was from an actual computer run using a random number generator. The random numbers were without weighting, but the way they add up produces a normal distribution. Suppose again that members of Race B has an 11% chance of getting any of alleles #1-#6, a 10% chance of getting allele #7, and a 6% chance of getting any of alleles #8-#11 at each of the ten locations. A random sample of one million individuals from Race B might have this spread of IQ: Race B. n = 1000000 average IQ = 85.8 IQ range, number individuals in range: 0 to 10, 1 10 to 20, 21 20 to 30, 456 30 to 40, 3709 40 to 50, 17788 50 to 60, 53662 60 to 70, 113931 70 to 80, 176219 80 to 90, 205926 ← biggest bin 90 to 100, 186466 100 to 110, 129347 110 to 120, 70351 120 to 130, 29718 130 to 140, 9648 140 to 150, 2313 150 to 160, 394 160 to 170, 47 170 to 180, 3 180 to 190, 0 190 to 200, 0 Now, of course, this is a very simplistic representation of genetic inheritance, using numbers instead of atoms and molecules. But the principle is about the same.
@@Jenab7 Im not saying it's untrue, what I'm saying is that it has nothing to do with their race, but rather the environment they live and grew up with. Stefan said that "Blacks were DESIGNED to perform worse than Whites" which is racist, not only because he thinks every race is centered around White People, but also because Blacks literally werent made to make White People feel smart, which is what Stefan keeps implying. His race-IQ theory has been debunked time and time again, yet he still insists he is correct. By that I am not saying that blacks dont have a lower IQ on average, im saying that it has nothing to do with the fact that they are Black. The fact that Stefan insists upon this idea simply means he is trying to push a narrative against Black people. Did he ever talk about asian IQ compared to White People? (genuine question, I cant remember.) Also, my aunt and uncle are a physiscist and biologist, but 2 of my 3 cousins are verry dumb and are barely passing HS.
@@Jenab7 Mate, I know that you're right on such basis on hereditary. However, you do realize that if a person is black, does not necessarily mean that he/she's stupid. The same goes to white people. It's not that a white person is smarter than a black person at all times, since variation can occur and you may have exceptions to that rule. Also, having a high IQ doesn't nessesarily make you any better either. It usually matters on how one utilizes his or her intelligence on practical situations. If a person, who has an average IQ is present with another person, who has a superior IQ, and they're both present in a similar situation where they have to find a solution of a sort, the battle could go either way. The one with the higher IQ level, may go haphazard and the one with a lower IQ level, may solve that situation with ease. So utilization of your intelligence matters more than your capacity. Edit: bear in mind that I'm not black.
@@Jenab7 I also had to give a mention that stating your racial belief on the basis of average intelligence may be fine, as long as you don't claim it aloud and it doesn't nessesarily form up a truth, as if intelligence forms up a better individual or something, which is obviously untrue. Since that man implicitly claims that the whites are superior than the blacks just because of the average IQ, that's false, because of my point stated above. I think it's best if he kept that odd belief to himself. I'm racist and an antisemitic person but even I keep my beliefs to myself. That's the only problem I have with this "stefan" guy.

Very well said though I suspect the deeper nuances of your words will be lost upon most people. The current lifestyle and much cherished values are a legacy of centuries of Christian living that is now being discarded by those very people who hold it so dear to their hearts. They think that those values are able to sustain themselves in a vacuum where the God of the bible is not allowed. Much to their dismay, they are about to experience that a spiritual vacuum WILL be filled and the in-rushing occupant will NOT be to their liking.
Notre Dame cathedral fire announced the beginning of a dark period ..... this place is very special because the cathedral was built above the ruins of several very ancient sacred temples (at least 4 according to archaeologists) . For many insiders, it is the epicenter of the world ...
Its not just a loss for france its a loss for the world I really want the cathedral to be rebuilt to its former glory . Please reconstruct it back to its former glory .
It's not a loss for the world at all...I for one couldn't care less about a building when there is worse turmoil in the world where extortionate amounts of cash could be spent ..I mean half a billion euros to build a church is ridiculous, they could solve the whole of France's homeless problems with that amount of money.
Jesus is not Lord over artifacts, even if the whole building and all artifacts would have burned down He is still Lord, His church is not inside buildings. His church are inside the people who hold the fear of the Lord. Jesus is Lord over humans, God lives in the hearts of those who have been born again in the Spirit. I praise God that no one died nor has anyone been heavily injured. I pray for the three people who have been lightly injured for their quick recovery. And I pray for the people of Paris that this building which has been iconic for Paris for many centuries will be rebuild.

Heartbreaking. As a Catholic, I am devastated and I hope my government will rebuild it exactly as it was, not with some ugly modern adding.
Peace and love from Sweden 🙏❤

I heard about that dreadful incident at the famous cathedral in Paris, France 🇫🇷 in spring 2019. It was absolutely horrendous. But luckily nobody got injured during the fire incident. Thank God!
By the way one of my friends told me that earlier I think.
I remember I visited Notre Dame Cathedral in autumn 2007 when I was a teenager and it was a beautiful cathedral.
Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
I don’t live in France nor am I catholic, but this made me tear up seeing such an icon to the people of France go up in flames. All in a matter of 15 hours.
The entire staff/management should be fired. Total idiots. That building has been around since time began and it takes until 2019 for it to be almost burnt to the ground. Not acceptable.
Since time began? I think you might be exaggerating just a wee bit

I thought these things were made of stone
The wall and buttresses are, but not the roof. Most roofs during the time were either made with slate or lead tiles, with oak beam supports underneath.
Notre Dame is mainly made from Limestone wood iron and lead.
A random sample of one million individuals from Race A might have this spread of IQ:
Race A.
n=1000000
average IQ = 100.0
IQ range, number individuals in range:

160 to 170, 969
170 to 180, 113
180 to 190, 7
190 to 200, 0
That was from an actual computer run using a random number generator.
A random sample of one million individuals from Race B might have this spread of IQ:
Race B.
n = 1000000
average IQ = 85.8
IQ range, number individuals in range:
0 to 10, 1

160 to 170, 47
170 to 180, 3

Now, of course, this is a very simplistic representation of genetic inheritance, using numbers instead of atoms and molecules.
(genuine question, I cant remember.)
Also, my aunt and uncle are a physiscist and biologist, but 2 of my 3 cousins are verry dumb and are barely passing HS.
