Hi Al. Great video. I tried these cables about 2 years ago. I really liked them and the concept, but my biggest issues were as follows:
    1. If you use a big case like an otter box or some other large case, the adapter won't always fit into the port while the case is on the phone. This was a problem that I had.
    2. The phone wouldn't charge as fast using these adapters, compared to using the original cable that comes with the phone.
I'm still using my Galaxy Note 9, which uses the USB C port, and it's still going strong.
The one other annoying thing with these cables is this. Ultimately every cable you use for everything would need to be one of these. I found that sure, if I had one for home and car use, that covers like 70% of places I need to charge my phone, but occasionally I would need one for my job or borrow a cable from someone, which would require me to remove the adapter, and doing that with a case on was a real pain in the butt.
So ultimately I move away from using these cables.
But for some, they are a cool idea and make sense, and definitely help plugging in your phone to charge it over the long haul preserving the port from being damaged. Especially on a phone that might be using a micro USB port to charge it.

Woah.. was that a Sony Ericsson P910 I spied at the start of this video tucked away under that pillow..?? Perhaps my favourite phone ever!! I have it next to my desk still. I had a look through your channel but couldn't see a video going through all the tech you've got on your desk. Thanks for the magnetic charging cables review by the way - it was hard to find a really good discussion of the types and pros/cons of each, very much appreciated your video. I use a 2013 BlackBerry Passport as a Bluetooth controller for a bluetooth receiver connected to a lovely old 1970s Pioneer stereo system and didn't want to destroy the only charging port of the irreplaceable BlackBerry plugging in and out of MicroUSB constantly. Alright, too much information I know. Thanks for the video, new subscriber here! 😁

I used to use TOPK but after a while, they would only slow charge and not carry 12 or 9v to my devices. YKZ cables with the oblong vs. round connector ended up working longer as a fast charging cable.

Video is missing a big factor. What's the charge rate that your phone recognize? Does your phone read as fast charge? AC charge? USB charge? Slow charge?
Sure, these magnetic charger charges. But the phones usually register the charge as USB charge or slow charge. Not AC charge. USB/slow charge is similar to charging your phone via usb port from your laptop, very slow to the point the phone takes forever to charge.
Test that .. plug it in. show us the charge rate or what your phone register the type of charge.

These cables are "chagre" only - the video title indicates these are "data" cables - which will require more pins :(
Shame - I was looking for a review of the "data" cables.

@@TechMadeEzy thanks for the video, it was somewhat informative. However, the other comment was correct, the title says "Magnetic Charging Data Cables by TOPK Review". DATA cables. Unfortunately, these are not.

You are in trouble with or without a charger if that happens. It's a charging cable, water and charging don't go together 🙏🏻
