Oh my gosh, your blooms are amazing and most are in water culture. You do really well with that method and I've just started, so I'm hoping I'll end with some like yours 😍

Thank you Fernanda! I love this time of year because of all the Phalaenopsis blooms! Hopefully I can keep them around for a while!
Curvifolium blooms are so cute! And they have been around for a few months now.

Very beautiful and healthy ❤. Are you doing Full water culture? Do you also drop the temp to induce the bloom? Love your channel. Thank you

Hi Danielle, thanks for sharing your knowledge and showing all your beautiful orchids. May I ask for some advice. I have my orchids in a window like you. When an orchid is growing a spike, do you try to orient it in the same direction as the spike is growing after you water? I think I may have messed up some of my flowers after I water by not returning them to the same spot. When the flowers open, some of them are facing backwards. I want to also enjoy them and not have them staring out the window. Thanks for your time!

If you wait until the spike is fully open then you can turn it around and enjoy the blooms without having some twisting in the wrong direction. I use this method all the time. Once the blooms are open they are generally set in their direction and will stay that way

Danniel, what do you use to treat spider mites and how do you apply it? Your wall of color is just Awesome!!! 😊 btw...how's your doggie doing and how old by now? Your friend in Arizona 🌵

      Thank you Sharon 😊!
For spider mites I use a solution of water with dish soap, rubbing alcohol and mineral oil. I don’t know exact ratios 😁 I just kinda go by feeling but if I had to guess- I use a standard size spray bottle and it’s probably a table spoon of each and the rest water. It definitely works and is gentle enough that “most” of the plants don’t have a problem with it. A few of my Dendrobiums drop a few leaves but for the most part they’re fine.
Knightley is 17 months now! He’s such a sweetheart! Still learning not to jump on people but he’s a joy to have, a lovely temperament 💙

I’m so sorry Victoria, I don’t grow in organic medium but I know moss stays wet for a longer time than bark so perhaps you are giving it to much water?
