    I'm a big fan of your hair and I hope to get the health and retention you get. Next year, I will be relaxing my hair. I am going to follow your regimen.

  • @prettywitty77
    @prettywitty77  11 лет назад

    I flat iron my hair maybe two months into my journey to "length check" lol. Now that I think about it, that was wayyyyyyyyyyy too soon to see growth. lol But I haven't since early 2011. The lack of direct has thickness my hair so much that people think I don't chemically relax my hair. A huge health improvement.

    Pretty Witty, I have tried your regimen and I have discovered that I have been over processing my hair. My hair has responded so well to your "simple sista" routine LOL I look forward to my results. My question is, when do you prepoo? Every other week when you wash? Do you pre-poo on co-wash days?

    • @prettywitty77
      @prettywitty77  10 лет назад

      pre-poo's are done first before you shampoo, that's why it's called pre-poo (pre- shampoo). Co washes (conditioner washes) are done to keep the hair moisturized in between washes.

    I apologize in advance if this question has been asked/answered. Have you ever used direct heat (flat iron) on your hair since you embarked on your journey? If so what was the outcome of the experience? Do you feel that the lack of direct heat on your hair has been and is a major positive factor in the healthiness/length during your journey?

    So Thursday you oil your scalp with the oil mixture and do scalp massages , so you don't moisturize & seal that day im a little confused on that part ??

    I can't live without a flat iron. I don't know how you do it. And no blow dryer! I need help, lol. I'm trying to do better. One question I do have is, how do you know when you need a protein treatment? What do you think of Aphogee treatments instead of the mayo?

  • @Jenillef
    @Jenillef 11 лет назад

    Omg I work 6 days a week too. Idk how u find the time to do it all. Only thing I do is DC or hot oil once a week. I'm tryna get back to moisturizing & seal everyday. I usually have it in a gelled bun so I don't be tryna mess it up to moist/seal lol. Horrible

    @IcedLipGloss 11 лет назад

    I have 4b/4c hair so when i try to stretch my relaxers, theres a huge difference. im starting to use very little heat but i want to go completely heat free. HOW? i moisturize, dc, co wash, pre poo, but using heat is what stops me from seeing growth. ive started using u part or 3/4 wigs as a protective style but i use heat on my leave out like twice a week. please give me suggestions. thank you!!

      prettywitty77 what type of camera do you have. Do you record and take photos on same device?

    • @ronqie
      @ronqie 10 лет назад +3

      U need to know ur hair. I think ur hair is like mine, I found out that detangling in the shower= hair loss for me, then I tried detangling on damp hair and I hardly loose anything. So I spray with warm distilled water + glycerin + olive oil spritz, works wonders, also hand before wide tooth comb detangling

    • @MiraMira0ntheWall
      @MiraMira0ntheWall 10 лет назад

      ronqie I normally do it damp as well....which is the same result. A lot of fall-out :( ..I did try the glycerin route it made my hair stiff...sigh*

    Please tell me the difference between co-wash and deep conditioning?

  • @prettywitty77
    @prettywitty77  11 лет назад

    U just have to find your "Go-To" styles that work for YOUR hair. I will say, I don't think using heat on that leave out 2x a week is healthy. It will mostly likely become damaged and/or break.

    Hello, please write me back im desperate lol. My hair is relaxed im waiting to get my ends trimmed in about two weeks. My hair is neck length, it was to my shoulders but it broke off my hair grows pretty fast and right now it's uneven very bad ends very thin , but any ways do you twist your hair when you moisturize it at night and then put a scarf on?

  • @theScato10

    Have you ever tried the black tea rinse that Traycee from kiss suggested to stop shedding? I'm thinkn about trying it

  • @Rajay94
    @Rajay94 10 лет назад

    Hi! I have relaxed hair and Im struggling to grow it evenly. I cut my hair really short 2 years ago, since then my back and ffront always break off and are short (6inches) approx but the middle is weirdly long (approx 10-14inches). What would be your advice? Please help me fix my hair ;(
    Plus your hair at the beginning of the video is so thick and awesome!! How do you get your hair like that?!
    I never know what to do with my hair when the edges start looking fuzzy. What would you recommend? Thanks!!

    • @prettywitty77
      @prettywitty77  10 лет назад

      make sure your ends are not damaged or split... pay close attention to the area that is breaking. It could be tons of things. The type of brush/comb you are using, over processed area, dry hair...

    how do you know when your hair need protein? or that the protein overload?

    • @AllieVee_
      @AllieVee_ 10 лет назад +6

      ***** Your hair needs protein when your hair stretches and keep stretching until it breaks. This means it is moisture overload. It often looks limp and if you try to do heatless curls, they often come out very loose. This is when you do a protein treatment. When you're protein overload, it is the opposite. Your hair doesn't stretch but instantly breaks off even by the slightest touch of the strand. You deep condition to add moisture back into the hair. Therefore, the necessary treatments done in accordance to how your hair feels results in your hair having a moisture-protein balance.
