It's always a delight and privilege to see what Jim accomplishes and learns, as he tries new things and improves whatever he's able to. I appreciate what you both share with the world, thank you so very much.
The drone footage is awesome Pete. Great to zoom in on the rows without any footprints. Thank you for turning off the music so we can hear what you say when you guys talk
I never get tired of seeing Jim’s Market Garden! I was there a few weeks ago and it’s amazing! Thanks guys for sharing another video 🙏 Jim I hope those Roma tomatoes are producing.
When you visit Jim it reminds me of a neighbor popping by and having a casual chat, you guys have such a friendly wholesome relationship, its awesome to see!
These garden tours are helpful to show what can be done and how it can be done. One thing is for certain there is always so much work that you are never done but at least that translates into job security which helps provide food security.
Jim is one amazing market gardener, I always enjoy your visits with him. He is such an inspiration to this backyard gardener. Thanks for another great video!
Hey hey I discovered those glowing eyes on the spiders too with my flashlight (FUN time identifying where animals are hiding out and watching! Saw a bear in the bushes that way.)
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL Yeah so I noticed! A LOT of my ornamentals are 'root hardy' and look like **** now. In the process of cutting most down to 2 inches. Chop and drop.
I let the nasturtium sprout through my garden bed because the cabbage white caterpillars love it more than my cabbages, broccoli and Cauliflower! I just have to make sure it doesn’t get out of control. But the cabbage white caterpillars seem to go through phases of what they prefer. For a couple of months before Christmas, it was my cabbages I found some on. Then suddenly it was the broccoli they loved and they didn’t touch anything else except the nasturtium. Then it was the Cauliflower and the cabbages and broccoli were untouched. But if the nasturtiums weren’t there, they probably would have decimated everything! As it is, it is just a little bit of damage to leaves I probably wouldn’t have rated anyway.
Thanks Pete! You can feel the love by looking at the beauty. Jim’s passion, feeling a sense of peace, shows in the plants. It’s important for people to see these videos so that the rough edges, of everyday life, can melt away. So inspiring!!
His garden keeps getting more beautiful every year. There’s lots of winter greens he could plant in Maine mache,Claytonia, kales, winter lettuce. I put another layer of plastic over pvc hoops in my greenhouse to grow the greens.
On the extra nasturtiums - I added some - flowers and leaves, chopped - to the celery/bell pepper ferment I made this past fall. It was great ! My 1st time making a basic, veggie ferment that wasn't sauerkraut. Adding sliced up radishes to this when packing some in my husband's lunchbox, was also great. Even in just those few hours, they pickled some and he loved em. I barely had any nasturtiums in there, this was made in late fall from 1 lil plant I had going in a pot still, I'd add way more next time. Maybe harvest just bunches of nasturtiums for sale, put on the tag their uses : salads, ferments, wraps etc. .. ?
Come on Jim, are you calling the nasturtiums weeds? :)) They are very beneficial in any garden. And they taste great! How about adding them in one of the salad mixes or mustard greens mixes? Love you, brothers ! Keep rolling !
I love these videos with Jim. They continue to give me hope for my annual vegetable garden here in Florida when I see all the lush greenery. I used to garden in clay soil before I moved here and thought that was bad but I think the sandy "soil" is worse. I continue to improve my soil and seeing Jim's garden gives me hope I may get there one day.
What the world needs now is more people like Jim. What an incredible person he is.
And thank you Pete for documenting him!
Sooooo great
I like just watching Jim walk around his place and examine, prune, analyze, etc everything.
Same here 🤣
It's always a delight and privilege to see what Jim accomplishes and learns, as he tries new things and improves whatever he's able to. I appreciate what you both share with the world, thank you so very much.

The only thing I like about winter is the fact that Jim goes back to Florida to work on this garden
His garden keeps getting more beautiful every year. There’s lots of winter greens he could plant in Maine mache,Claytonia, kales, winter lettuce. I put another layer of plastic over pvc hoops in my greenhouse to grow the greens.
