The only issue I have is that water is one of the universe's most common, if not THE most common, molecules.
True but it is rarely in liquid form, which is an unusually effective solvent. Nearly a universal solvent in fact.
Sometimes its not just the fact it is water, its what type of water, whats in it, and what state its in. Still I can see this being more that humans just had more of it in their sector of the galaxy or such (small sector) and that is why the aliens dont use much of it. Among a few other things that could explain this. However in the story its all short and quick Drama that makes little sense on time scale and achievements, plus repetitive use of word or phrases back to back, "like a hot knife through butter."
"Battles are often won, before they are even started." Some one that knew how wars actually worked.
Alot of the drama it tries to put in for this is our only hope, would more realistically be already done before the battle then implemented. (aka that research the doctor was doing should of been more a, "Flash in the Past," as he remembers the project he was involved with, then either have all systems or most already installed, and then the final team is working on a super weapon that is in the middle of being built, and they need more time to finish it.
@@EnlonWhite types of water are h2o unless your trying for heavy water, d2o, 2h2o. filter out or add in whatever you like. and why would anything spend 10x the recourses vs just melting ice.
@@jonjames4281 might be better to use the term what 'form' it comes in after all if the majority of carbon life capable worlds where mostly dry , without easy access to near limitless easy to experiment with liquid but at safe temperatures quantities of it , even if its a plenty resource once space born that would be mostly either 'crystallized' forms or dangerously high temprature forms each far harder to run rudimentary research on
@@Amoth_oth_ras_shash you do realize we've already figured this stuff out just for making fuel off world and we haven't even been anywhere. not much need in risking killing off the population in a war, just cause.
You never show your treasure to potential enemies.
Yeah the "leadership" of the humans was ridiculously awful. Very little strategic or even diplomatic awareness. The whacky-ness of the aliens can be attributed to them being alien, I guess, but the command decisions were exceptionally poor.
LOL lots of plot holes, miraculous changes of fortune for every side, last moment ideas, and the over use of the same idioms.
It's old fashioned Space Opera man, just enjoy and don't look too close.
My nephew listened to this story with grim determination!
His scales shivering and mandibles clicking?
Ahhh come on. In the middle of a battle the scientists come up with a new weapon, then manufacture the missiles and deploy them to the troops. load them into weapon systems and then engage the enemy? That had to be the slowest battle ever.
Yep, complete nonsense. "Aqua-X", so this is Elon Musk bollox?
Even the bumbling Russians aren't that slow!
Maybe they have 3D printers and virtual ai assistants to help move things along quicker.
That is the story of the atom bomb and Hiroshima/Nagasaki. Read some history. This story is obviously written and spoken by AI. It does not think ... it plagiarizes history. Human history is replete with war and technological developements for a victory.
like hot knife through butter, like paper, like hot knife through butter, like paper, like hot knife through butter... lots and lots of butter and paper!
How many times did Petrov suddenly return after she was
Killed
Tanaka too.
Wish i could return from the dead so easily!
He recovered from the last save point, just like my son when playing GTA.
"Somehow, Petrov has returned"
i noticed that
The alien left of center looks like Don Knotts. Am I the only one that (with just this picture) is getting Mr. Limpett vibes?
They'd have to be even more acquainted with 'Water Power' if they were The Incredible Mr. Limpet adjacent. :)
Thurmmm....🐟🐟🐟
We are dating ourselves here with this pull, man!!! But YES!!! Now that you have said it, I cannot unsee it!!! 😅🤣

Its a great movie, my sister and I loved it growing up, I still have the original release on VHS thats worth some $$$@@zephodb
A.I. wrote a pretty good story until the scene changes and events stopped making sense. No human would have made that mistake. A.I. went off the space rails.
Exactly how did the new alien know about the aqua x when the humans just found it?
Remember, they said they had been watching them for an extended period of time. Just sayin...we dont know what type of surveillance they had.
Started off okay, but then ...they got into another battle.. ... and then they got into another battle... ... and then... Too much head hopping. Who is the MC?
Yea, how many times can they say the battle was won, but the war is far from over. Haha
It is a work of plagiarism by an AI, stealing from human works and just saying the next most likely word. That is why there is so much Repetition. It is an abomination.
my mouse flying over the pad clicking furiously on the skip ad button
i suddenly realized for every story i took down by reading two more took its place
"0_o"
I find the concept of doing complex research in the middle of battle, then mass producing, supplying it to all ships and refitting all the weapons in the middle of a conflict a bit ludicrous.
Also - I’m confused - the enemy dreadnought first blew up, but then came back and used cloaking?
The explosion was just them turning on the cloak!
Plot holes right
You need to fix up you ai voice which mispronounces words all the time
Probably done on purpose to avoid copyright striking...
You should learn to type correctly before criticising someones AI having issues.
The speech to text is really atrocious, don't look!
That's AI for you. And I feel sorry for Capt Petrov. That SOB works hard all over literature.
It's been drinking
Why is it whenever there's a threat the first response from the people it to riot.
A hilarious statement @0:46 - "each wearing the distinctive garb of their species", while I can barely see any difference between the garbs in this photo. "All these aliens look the same to me." By the way, water cannot possibly be rare, as it is made from hydrogen, which makes up 75% of the universe, and oxygen which is about 1% of the universe. Oxygen is the third most abundant element in the universe, (because it's a basic result of fusion) so I would infer from that that water is actually the most abundant compound molecule in the universe. Earth barely has any water compared to Ganymede and some other moons of Jupiter and Saturn, which have tens of times more water than Earth despite being much smaller. If an alien species wanted to steal water from our solar system, they would find it would take much less energy to take the water from those small moons. Taking the water from Earth would add only about 1% to the total amount of water they get.
I broadly agree... but I think it was saying 'using water', the other aliens didn't realize how useful it was (very dumb) because there was so little on their home-world so they didn't explore 'water tech' which... eh. c.c Also, 'Aqua-X', might as well be 'Chemical-X' and making the PPG. c.c
Yes, these advanced aliens with leading scientists are apparently really dumb.@@zephodb
look at all the uses of hydrogen peroxide. it doesnt just clean wounds it is also used in rocket fuel as well as some other things i wont mention
One of the biggest issues is the time line. It is almost like there were alternate endings toenailed together as well as other jumps.
You had me untill the Void hunters showed up, it turned a decent setup into a edgy Saturday morning cartoon cartoon
First 18 minutes got me so excited. Can not wait till I can listen to the rest!
I find it hard to believe that everyone would suddenly jump out of the void and start shooting at an unfamiliar enemy in an unfamiliar territory, because in nature even intelligent predators approach even weaker animals carefully. Even people who are well armed don't use their power to steal from people who are unarmed. This is a story about violence where trade was an option.
Apart from the XShot and Nerf water guns, the _timeline_ narration of the story needs more than just editing. At one point after the Aqua-X was weaponized and decimated the Counsel ships while the rest of them flee the conflict, and at the nex moment a new juggernaut of an unknown species appears and the Aqua-X was not only not weaponized yet but the Counsel fleet was still in the fight. Can someone tell me if the incongruity I mentioned is real or just a product of my aging mind? 🤔
Yes, I heard that too and I hate when stories do stuff like that, so I stopped right there
Maybe “it” thought as a kind of POV ? That would be a kind of halfway logical conclusion otherwise it’s just stupid.???!!!
I think it's an AI generated story which is why there's such poor continuity and an "anything goes" approach.
Admiral of the council fleet: Ha! Their primitive lasers and puny missiles just bounce off of our shields!
Colonel Hawkins (his jaw set with grim determination): Throw hot water on them!
Admiral of the council fleet (bristling with anger): Damn it! Who had the genius idea to make galactic battle ships out of cardboard and paper?
Colonel Hawkins: I hope someone discovers something that has only been theorized and manages to isolate it and turn it into an insanely powerful weapon in the next few minutes. We can throw hot water at council ships, but if space pirates decide to take advantage of the situation we will need something to cut through their ships like a hot knife through butter.
(Cue the space pirates).
Void hunter commander: Ah! You humans have found something that nobody else in the galaxy has ever heard of, so we are on our way to take it from you. I sure hope you don't turn that unknown thing into a weapon that will cut through our ships as if they were made of paper before we get there.
Message from the galactic council: Hello Earth people. Now, we know that we attacked you with no warning, but you have found something that makes weapons that are more powerful than anything we have...so how about giving it to us so we can develop it into even more powerful weapons? We promise not to use it against you. Come on...I'll be your friend.
Void hunters: We're back!
Colonel Hawkins: Not now, I'm having dinner. I'd like to spread this on my roll, but it is too cold...I wish I had a hot knife to cut it with.
Lmao, people are getting free stories and still find stuff to complain about. If you are gonna complain about the AI reader, at least donate some money to the channel.
You first. I’m not donating to a channel that has a stupid AI that can’t even pronounce simple words properly. It’s painful to listen to.
I'm fairly certain I just listen to a ton of ads with short portions of a story in between. 😅
bro yes 23 minutes in 7 ads already
"Indeed."said Mister Spock.
Do you not have any other analogies other than "hit knife throw butter" and " cut throw like paper"?
AI's are connected to the same sources for how to information. I used the knife through butter two weeks ago. I'm sure others have done the same. Aanalogies may not be fully understood as a human who can related to various words to fit a specific need. this
You must 1st prove yourselves worthy by passing a series of trials. Now, you must answer my questions three !!
1st, What is you name ?
2nd, What is your quest ?
3rd, What is your favorite color ?
4th What is the airspeed of a swallow ?
European or African ??
Well, I don't know! Aaahhhhhhh !!
Just make up a silly walk!
If your ESCAPE POD can take down the enemy flagship, why would you use anything else?
Excelent space opera. Kept me up way past bedtime. I look forward to a conclusion of the immediate story line, and to future publications. Thank you.
I wonder if the road will be long and difficult....LOL
Why would the diplomat at the council meeting also be the one to order planetary defense? Is he just in charge of everything?
The most realistic part is that we have a Latina president in the future. considering our border at the moment that is.
Oh dear, how sad, never mind.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@petergaskin1811 what do you think I’m wrong? Or you think I’m wrong for having a problem with a president that isn’t from here?
Humanities secret weapon is a space borne water pistol. 🤪
Well, think about what Bruce Lee always said about his philosophy of martial arts..m
water !, "you mean cold fusion"?, no just water.
Take that - squirt, squirt.
And that ‐ squirter, squirt.
If they didn't take the story so seriously I think it could've worked. They should've rolled with how stupid the space based water gun is. Instead of making up Aqua X, just use water's properties. If the alien worlds are not used to water, their ships' electronics are probably not waterproof. Just use the water gun to shoot at the enemies and short out their systems.
The first rule of technologic superiority is that you only share what is necessary and furthers your own interests
So much determination...
they just keep pulling random prototypes out of there asses like its candy to help them survive oof
its funny how only those that have gone through the trials can wield the crystal...but then later in the story anyone apparently can use it?!!?
Petrov changed from male to female? How did this operation happen during a battle? Laser fire? Hmm 😅
Love the story, love FICTION ❤
Another good video from HFY Stories. Thanks. 2:32
Great story bring on more... much more ❤
Thank you. I enjoyed it
Never tell aliens what our resources are.
Stupid is as stupid does, I guess.
I liked it 💜 ready to listen to the next chapter 💜 thank you!!
Great story. Keep up the good work my friend ❤❤❤👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
They demand that the humans have to have help from somewhere else. Like it was a bad thing. Then demand the humans give them the technology the humans made.
space is minus 453 degrees Fahrenheit. Superheated water cannon isn't gonna do diddly in the vacuum of space.
In this story, you could just say minus 1 degrees Kelvin.
When you realize that most of the universe is made from hydrogen. Water is highly common. Most comets and asteroids are ice which is why they produce the tails as they fly past and the ice evaporates.
Ah yes but it has to be a special kind of water from only a few types of planets.
Loved it..
Ocean worlds are actually really common and a reptilian species would almost absolutely need to have a planet with a moderate sized ocean to exist.
Loved the story
The truce was 1 sided in favor of the council, humans just gave away their critical asset. Humans got rekt
How many Zorgaxs are there?!
Please hire or get a volunteer to read these stories so that it doesn't get stupid mid way through and start failing completely in its ability to read.
I like the story, very entertaining.
Good story and yes he does look like Don Knotta
There are a total of 18 possible isotopes of water, and we know all of them now. Water X not a thing.
Do you mean the crystalline structure of ice?
No Ice Nine?
The story contains ceveral continuity glitches.
In the future, all diplomatic transportation will have a deployable fission weapon,as a gift to ANY hostile "galactic council" that is dumb enough to make war with humanity.
Parts of story cut out. Then starts a 2nd parallel story with same characters.
The Igiet! 😂😂😂
Seems like there was a TV show that had this similar story believe it was called Babylon 5
i liked your story
Seems like the perspective changed. From 3rd person to 1st. AI written, I assume?
Ahh, and now somehow water fired from a cannon doesnt freeze in space.
I like the story very interesting
Thought you might like some positive feedback. I think it's great that you put yourself out there by penning an engrossing tale. Space operas are the best form of fiction, in my estimation. I would say you have been channeling some of the early Lyran history, during the time of the Great Expansion. I think you might enjoy these ET YT channels: Cosmic Agency, and Swaruu Oficial. Keep it up. So many have critical things to say, but do nothing themselves. I appreciate your work.
Too many scifi stories lately that rely on ridiculous suppositions.
I especially got a chuckle out of them firing squirt guns of steam and being super effective against star-ships. That steam would become ice in seconds and even if it didn't the ranges it could be fired at would be extremely low compared to any other conventional weapons.
I guess AI just likes 'There's always a bigger one' 😅
I like the story
I didn't even try finishing the story. It's clear that it was written by a bot and nobody did any further edits to make it coherent
Ahahaha! water... pfft!
Aqua X...
Magic beans would be more honest. 🤣
Chemical-X! >.>
Aqua is Spanish for water.
@@vincewilson1 Agua is Spanish for Water.
Aqua is Latin for Water, which is the root for Spanish's Aqua... and in Middle-English Aqua was used as well. c.c
water is full of hydrogen, which could convceivably be used for fusion
But hydrogen is already far more common than water in the universe, and doesn't require additional energy to extract the hydrogen.
Well there is heavy water ,which sinks to the bottom of the ocean.
Now I wonder how heavy the water is at the bottom of the marina trench?!!!
I like it❤
Ice from asteroid fields is abundant. ..
You show is great tha ks😅 I was wonder are the stories connected together, if so what order do we listen ? Thanks 🙏
Haha! This story isn't even connected to itself from beginning to end!
And you think the small sample size you get from earth and the asteroids that hit it is an accurate depiction of the molecules in the universe. I'm pretty sure molecules don't have afermative action. A reasonable theory would be that heavier asteroids and meteors get caught up in asteroid fields and larger planets gravity before they have a chance to reach us.
Wait! What? First Terran Technology was Superior, but during the Battle the Alien Tech was too Advanced....So which is it?
what the hell the void is killing everything and won't rest until they win?? now let us talk about a meeting to talk with the council? sorry have had enough moving on
Water, the third most common substance in the universe, and the most common molecule, is a primary component of carbon based life forms. Water would not be rare on worlds where intelligent life evolves.
How many plot holes?:

Wrote myself: ROFL.
HFY GPT: There is so little variation in these stories. Solution for now= mute.
Maybe find another phrase to use in place of "like tissue paper", or "like paper"?
This is like a bad episode of dragonball Z where back and forth its 'their weapons cut through the ships like they were paper'... now the OTHER guys weapons cut through OURS like paper".. NO YOU have the paper hulls that we shall cut through".. its like.. well over 9000. I literally bored to death and actually died before finishing.
Starting off with the second most boring type of a political meeting (the most boring type would be the one we see in "Phantom Menace"... worst decision ever, even if it's at least not the very first scene...) isn't exactly the best idea 😉
I'd try to go with something JMS (Joe Michael Straszynsky, creator of - among others - "Babylon 5") said about how to start a story: "Roll in a grenade and come in firing."
Marc Elsberg (author of for example "Blackout") said in a conversation once (roughly translated from memory): "If a book doesn't fully grip my attention on the first page, I don't read it." That may be a bit harsh for my taste, but it can be seen as good advice - start with something that'll _really_ get the readers' attention, no matter where they may be (mentally) at the moment, or they may simply be skimming over the words without getting _into_ the story and wanting to continue reading, wanting to know how or why whatever just got their attention could have happened.
Is this AI generated? The story appears to be all over the place with characters disappearing and then suddenly reappearing. There is a real continuity problem which I believe is a hallmark of AI. It also applies every cliche in the book.
The faces of the background image will haunt me for the rest of my days.
mmmh Idk...I think it's rather silly that the most common element in the universe is only found in large quantities on earth? I doubt it... specially with other intelligent lifeforms archieving spacefligh
Plot device after plot device
Humanity first
This is all over the place
i liked the story thank you for your work
Wars are very profitable folks.........
Oxygen hydrogen, the 2 most common atoms in the universe. It's everywhere just put the two together h 20
If you have the spare energy to provide the heat needed to start the reaction, then the container strong enough to control the exothermic reaction that results... sure.
If it was that easy or cheap, then we wouldn't bother with desalination plants, considering the overall shortage of clean fresh water in a lot of the world, we'd be doing it constantly right now.
@@iffracem You don't need energy to start the reaction (a tiny spark will suffice.) It doesn't require energy to combine oxygen and hydrogen! As you then said, the reaction is exothermic. As for your second statement, that's wrong too, because there is no molecular hydrogen freely available on Earth, while the universe is replete with hydrogen molecules. Not only that but the cost of lifting a pound of water off the Earth is about ten times the weight of the water in terms of fuel. So for every pound of water you want to lift off the Earth, you need about ten pounds of fuel, and fuel typically consists of "hydrogen and oxygen." Even if aliens wanted to steal water from Earth using a solar powered space elevator, which would be very slow, they could more easily have used all that energy to find their own oxygen and hydrogen from comets and combined them that way. In other words, there is no economic reason to steal water from Earth's gravity well.
love the story you've done a great bit of writing keep up the good work.
but hells teeth that text to speech reader is painful at one point I thought the character was specking an alien language it was only when I went back read the subtitles and realised that enegy, technogigys, prefee, desalinay, recylay were energy, technology, purify desalinate and recycle
Yeah, the reading gets really bad sometimes.
umm … Zorak is a giant praying mantis not a reptile. 😝😜
10:45 What language are we going to now?
lol space turks xD
Man o Man,... If these stories had animated storyboards. Which can easily be generated with AI. You would be at 2 mil Sub in 6 months easy.
