finally someone correctly using EMP. EMP does not disable electronics. it permanently fries them. all the capacitors and circuitry exploded.
I would argue that it wasn't used that correctly here. For the sake of story telling I can roll with it, but there's no way an advanced alien race with war ships and such wouldn't have shielding to protect the electronics, some coils or a way to ground out through the hull. Space naturally has plenty of sources of electricity and magnetism, a solar flair for example, or even just stellar emissions in general, or the fields around a planet or gas giant which can also be pretty strong.
Just to be space faring race, you would develop ways to protect against that and other forms of radiation. Even on earth alot of critical military gear is shielded. An EMP isn't going to disable our missile silos, why would it disable these advanced alien ships?

Also disable a valid verb here, disable doesn't imply a temporary loss of ability, you shoot an engine off their ships and that engine is disabled. A person becomes "disabled" if they lose their legs or are paralyzed that doesn't mean it's going to get better.
@@TheJadeFistShielding isn't infinite. Doesn't matter how much a system is shielded, at some point the power and intensity of a EMP will overwhelm any shielding. So, it's just a question of how much energy is produced in that EMP?
@@johnpauljones9310 By shielding I mean like a physical barrier that blocks it. Lead would definitely do it, although way to heavy to be practical.
@@TheJadeFist When it comes to particles, nothing is 100% solid, as particles can move in the empty spaces in and between atoms. At a certain power level, no shielding can stop enough of the charged particles in a EMP to prevent circuits and systems from being fried.
@@johnpauljones9310 You could also use coils and ground it out to the hull, also you can have fuses, maybe you blow the circuit but you can reset it instead of losing all of it.
There's just no way, that an advance alien war ship wouldn't have the ability to deal with that kind of attack, just to deal with nature you'd need to develop something, even before combat enters the equation.
And sure maybe you can make it super powerful, but at the point you're just melting the hull of the enemy ship first.
You could die of alcohol poisoning if you made a drinking game out of Neron Smirking.

I find these tales very entertaining. They help me unwind in the evening.
Here in Northern California, everyone is putting in their crops.
And at the end of the day, I'm tired. And there is nothing to watch on TV, anymore.

The only thing that bothered me was the use of human colloquialisms. Who knows, maybe the humans left a copy of _The Big Book of English-Language Idioms_ as an additional part of their vaunted legacy. And yes, I liked the story.

I love these stories but your going overboard with the adds. I dont mind a few but one ever 3 to 5 minutes makes it almost impossible to get into it.

@@SpedSped-se9mp OH? I thought people who make the videos chose the spot or frequency of the adds. If not thats my bad. I usually like playing stories when im working on something and this video it was every couple minutes I had to skip add or the adds would have been 4 or 5 times the length of the video. Maybe the site had a hickup that caused it to do that.

If you dont skip fast enough it will add more and more ads and make them longer and longer

They have glasses that refill from the bottom when placed on a bar now. It's just technology. Not a surprise or unbelievable, really. Google it, no joke.
This one I’d love to see out to screen. Something like seeing Battlestars, Constitution Class Cruisers, Stardestroyers and more bringing the galaxy together with diplomacy and wits.

Like they say hard times create strong men who then create good times which eventually create weak men which destroy the good times in an endless repeating cycle that has always one defining aspiration. That of individual freedom that once becomes threatened by the PTB becomes an irresistible force that eventually turns the tide again towards freedom, progress, prosperity and so on.
But in the interim lots of people a lot just caught in the crossfire inevitably die as a result.
But the desire for individual freedom is what sets humans apart in these cycles which now will spread throughout the galaxy in this fictional universe.

Good but not great. Terrans had become galactic , spread out over a number of worlds, they would not have disappeared.
The story was very good it was very lazy to say that one single asteroid could destroy an advanced civilisation.
At this point we would mining entire worlds and fields of asteroids for resources.
