Couldn't agree more! This is why I hope they continue with the quality kits that I love. I have made so many I have lost count, but could not help feeling the hotel wasn't quite as good as others, Still good value though. Anyway thanks for watching and commenting .

Thanks for the video and your assessment of the kit. Did you invite Metcalfe to comment on your review ? Best wishes.

Apologies for the delayed response, I have not had a comment from Metcalfe, I hope I was fair. I am a big fan Metcalfe have completed many kits, most on the channel. I wished to be subjective noting the thinner card but balancing that with the world we live in and cost saves that are needed everywhere. Anyway thank you for watching.

Very nice video. This particular building would look great with a Hogwarts themed first add on to a Harry Potter train set. I started building card kits neatly 50 years ago. First the Superquick ones and later the Metcalf. So this was quite nostalgic. Great fun, and perfect way to spend a wet windy August afternoon.

helpful video - sorry you were disappointed, i wonder what is going on as it doesn't bode well for future kits they produce.

It was just the card was thinner and didn't quite feel like the Metcalfe quality, I guess because of the way of the world they must try to maintain a cost point and so new methods need to be looked at, but, this is the only 'new release' I have done so maybe just a one off. Anyway thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

To me, it was very hard to put together. The end product was okay. Still needs a little ageing and maybe a little spray to hold it all together to finish it off.

I built that kit in n scale and then used the scene craft Midland Pullman figures as staff

I was looking at this kit the other day, but was rather surprised you said about the window backing being thinner. Its typical that like has been said that places are tying to make things cheaper, but they get more expensive. Im just about to start making the low relief stone terreced houses. Do you not find your windows mist up with using super glue?? or does it not with using the activator??

Sorry for not responding sooner, I have had a couple mist up but generally quite successful. Do not use the activator on the glass, and make sure its just thin spread of glue, wipe away the excess. I also try to glue as far away from the visible aperture as possible. Anyway thanks for watching.
