jonnie’s approach to this task (checking under the table, looking for clues around the room, noticing the 85’s around the room etc) shows he’s clearly a fan of the show. such a shame that he wasn’t able to take part in the studio segments (even though it was nice to see Alan again)
Between all three women giving up mere moments before finding the correct glass and Jonnie spilling the vinegar, I think this is the most upsettingly tragic task in the series. So far, as Alex would say
Just wanted to point out that the person saying they have nearly no sense of smell was able to pinpoint the general direction of the vinegar and find it, while the person claiming to have a great sense of smell couldn't find the vinegar despite being almost directly on top of it.
It's very common. Humble, aware people tend to downplay and level everything. Insecure, boastful people try to put themselves over others in strange ways every occasion they have, to stroke their ego. And they exaggerate a lot.

My first thought when I saw all the shot glasses was: Run to the kitchen, grab a box of baking soda, and shake it liberally over all of the shot glasses. Even if there's more than one glass that fizzes up like a volcano, it should at least narrow it down significantly. Plus, baking soda's edible, so it's still fine to drink a bit inside the vinegar, if possibly a bit unpleasant.
If too many of the fizz up you will have an uncomfortable time sometime later in the day. It's edible but it's not recommended for consumption on it's own
@@gollum8615 Even 1% vinegar will react violently with baking soda. Cooking vinegar is usually around 5%. The hard part would be now you have to drink foam...lots and lots of it.

I would have gone to the kitchen to grab some baking soda. Once I found the vinegar, since I hate it, I'd have added baking soda so that there was no longer any acetic acid and it's not vinegar anymore.
So... assuming I didn't have the wherewithal to look around the room for cheats, I can't help but feel like I'd just commit to dumping it all in that bowl and chugging the resulting jungle juice. Probably fail about half-way, and then try to (probably unsuccessfully) argue that as it was mixed in with everything else, there WAS no vinegar left to drink.
Jonnie was just brilliant! I fear I would have consumed more liquids than anyone on this panel. "I don't want you to die" led me to believe some of them were not for human consumption. Would Little Alex Horne put methanol in just one glass, and then fight you for it when it really counted?

Id like to think I'd notice the 85's, but more realistically I think I would have ended up trying to push all of the shot glasses into the pot and drink the weird dirty pint that resulted.

What happened to him that resulted in them swapping him out for Alan?
they just said that he was unwell at the time and therefore couldn't make it to the recording!
