Did you feel the French side was safe? I am a black woman from the US and will be traveling solo for my bday. Also would you recommend renting a car? and was parking hard to find near the beaches and restaurants? and what about gas? Thank you!!!! Y'all are so cute together.
Yes we felt safe on the French side, minus its big attractions it’s definitely less touristy on that side and can feel intimidating as some areas are rough (keep mind that side is still recovering from the hurricane) but again we felt totally safe and all the locals we encountered were friendly for the most part. I believe you should be safe, just the obvious be aware of your surroundings/ people being/ time of day etc, as a single female. We always get a rental car if permits and if the country is generally safe/ drive-able so would strongly recommend in general and also because your a solo female vs keep constantly getting in taxi’s by yourself (though they are considered safe there and publicly marked) parking wasn’t a problem on island, nor was gas as much as we explored throughout all of our videos we didn’t have to get gas once only when returning the rental Hope this helps & thanks!!
Seems like traveling Solo is the Thing to do 😅, I was solo in May and enjoyed myself. Going back again next year to do some Touring. Went to Orient and Maho Beaches. People were kind. 3:41
