Very cool interview! It's beautiful to see the influence people have on each other. Thanks to Faun, Anna learnt about the hurdy gurdy and joint Eluveitie, and thanks to Anna and Eluveitie Michalina learnt about the hurdy gurdy and eventually joined the band herself. And the same thing probably happened to many more bands and musicians. We could also do it backwards and look who inspired Faun, and so on... it's the history of mankind! So many beutiful music (Faun, Eluveitie, Cellar Darling...), so many art which creates art. Like a single tree whose fruits end up creating a new forest.
This is such a great observation, I love it! Moreover, each of these project is different from one another and is dwelling in a different niche and there is - hopefully - many more to come! ☺️
The two hurdy gurdy queens together? Insta like! It would be awesome if you two got together, grabbed a drummer, and filmed a duel hurdy gurdy jam session. :D I can dream, lol

I don't like to sound like an elitist, 'cause I know it's silly to assume your favorite genre of music is the "best" or "most perfect" one, but.... this is one of the many things I like about heavy metal. Two girls sharing their love for music and their instruments and talking like friends at a pub. The fact that one replaced the other in the same band is not even remotely an issue. Again, I don't want to sound like an elitist but if this was pop music, we'd probably have the girls talking shit at each other and refusing to be in the same room together with each one pretending to be better and hotter than the other. Go hurdy girls! \m/

There's several places you can rent throughout Europe. Outside of Europe you're gonna have a problem. But there's a great fb group for the hurdy-gurdy where a lot of players are very willing to at least show you and let you play their personal hurdy-gurdy to see if it is something you want to pursue. So if you live somewhere you can't rent one it might be worth it to see if there's anyone close enough to you that is willing to let you play on their instrument for a day.
