- This is just a re-upload of my cover of White Silence that was originally uploaded on 2/20/2016! I explained the reason on my Facebook page, but just in case anyone was wondering and/or didn't read my post, the artist who created the art that I used for my previous upload of this requested that I take it down and use a different picture or art and I really wanted to respect their wishes so for this, I made sure I had the artist's permission beforehand. I know the previous upload may have had a better impact visually, but I hope this simple, straightforward version is just as good!
This song and these lyrics still hold a special place in my heart and I actually consider them one of my favourite lyrics Sapphy's ever written. ;v; So a special thanks to Sapphy as well as gakushi and Jn3 for helping make this possible for the second time around!

Edit: actually see this entire song now as Haise reflecting back. Like "I would rather watch that cold dream where I died" and all that memory stuff? Like that isn't Kaneki, that's Haise. Even talking about the person inside and the faint mentions of memories, including the sewers and such. Like the words of this song are the epitome of perfection for Tokyo Ghoul.

I was depressed for a big part of middle and high school and there was more than one time i thought of just ending it, that life for others wouldn't have changed and would've probably been better. Its hard thinking that way, that your family genuinely wouldn't care if you had died, that they mightve been actually happier since they wouldnt have to worry about you anymore. I had these thoughts cause i didn't know where i fit in anywhere, and sometimes i still dont feel like i fit in anywhere. I guess i didn't grow out of those thoughts i just grew over them

Not even close for me x) I mean it' a good cover. But the original is filled with actual emotions, the singers just seem like they are falling appart abd could cry any moment. Listen to the original at 5:01. You'll see the difference between an original and a pale cover

This song and the lyrics broke me. A friend who I considered as my best friend passed away yesterday from an unknown illness. We used to live in the same country but I moved to another 3 years ago. I wish I could’ve been by his side in his last moment in this world and I wish I was there at his funeral and the cremation. May he rest in peace and I will pray and wish for our reunion in another world or in another life.
