Thank you for sharing how you prepare overnight oats! I eat overnight oats daily- with nuts. However, Im not really a fan of the cold mushiness so I end up heating some additional almond milk prior to eating it. Am I defeating the purpose? It is funny but true- I wonder about this daily. 🙂 It’s an affordable, filling and convenient breakfast so I eat overnight oats every day despite my lack of enthusiasm. Thank you for this extremely helpful video! 💗

I do these too, looks Yum AG. 😋 I also use Scottish whole Oats. Sometimes I mix a whole pack of Oats with chopped up Trail mix, put it in a tub, & use it as Muesli, which can be overnighted too. I don't add Sugar though, I use dried Cranberries or Raisins instead.

My wife and I make overnight oats 3 times a week. We use steel cut or Coach's oats (from Costco) with almond milk, peanut butter and banana. We'll have to try the cinnamon roll oats! 😋

I am no longer stockpiling the less expensive preparedness items. At this point I already have enough long-term food storage (most of the food packaged to store 20 years) to feed every person in my household 2000 calories per day for at least two years. Also have enough bar soap, laundry soap, original Dawn detergent, dental products, jar candles, bleach tablets, OTC meds tablets, N-95 face masks, nitrile gloves, etc. for at least two years.
So lately I have been focusing on stocking morale-building items. Each paycheck I buy at least one luxury food storage item or some kind of grid-down entertainment item. For example, last week I purchased a used DVD of a 1980s James Bond movie to replace the one in my complete collection of the James Bonds films that had a scratch. I also have a portable DVD player and a grid-down way to recharge it, so we can watch our favorite action adventure, Disney or Broadway musical movies during a prolonged grid down disaster.
This morning, I placed an order for a #10 can of freeze-dried raw cod fillets, a pouch of freeze-dried sliced avocadoes and a pouch of freeze-dried, boneless, raw sirloin steaks. I intend to have the food storage equivalent of fish and chips as well as beef fajitas and guacamole if the time comes when we are eating a lot of rice and bean dinners, oatmeal breakfasts and vegetable soup lunches made from our food storage. Yes, I have a tortilla press and rolls of food wrap and can make either corn (masa) or flour tortillas from my long-term food storage and cook them in a skillet on my butane stove.
What I do not have is a stockpile of cat food and kitty litter for our two housecats. The dry cat food (one of them will only eat dry food) has too much fat to store for very long, even when re-packaged in Mylar + oxygen absorbers, and the type of clumping, low dust, corn cob litter my spouse prefers to buy tends to be hard to find. So, we will probably have to make a rushed stock-up of cat supplies if we believe a long-term disaster is about to occur. And the cats will have to learn to eat canned cat food (not giving them my expensive freeze-dried steak and cod) or do without and my spouse will have to accept that we may have to use the despised dusty clay litter in the litter boxes. I am counting upon our cats to continue to kill any scorpion, spider or roach that gets inside our home. I am certain they will also protect our home from rats and mice if uncollected garbage from nearby houses causes a boom in the local rodent population.
