Interview with Biljana Borzan - More sustainable products and no greenwashing

The European Parliament is working on several sets of rules to help consumers make environmentally-friendly choices and push companies to offer longer-lasting products. Biljana Borzan is leading talks on one of these sets.
In this interview, the Croatian MEP talks about the importance of ensuring that products really are what they claim to be and that they can be fixed at affordable prices when they break down.
Borzan believes that consumers want to play a part in the green transition and industry should help them doing so. “It is time that also the industry understands that changes are needed and that they are ready to make their contribution to a better environment in the future,” she said.
