Well Harrison I can't tell you how much I appreciate your videos on this machine. I was ready to try to send this thing back or get the sledge out before I decided to watch all of your videos. Between the needle bar adjustment, the bobbin carrier and the bobbin drive bar adjustment I was able to get this thing going. There is no way the piece of leather that came with this was made on this machine. All three adjustments were off. I am really impressed with how well this will sew and I like the primitive way to adjust the tensions and stitch length. I can't wait to take it apart and do my own improvements to make it smoother and more user friendly. Again Thank you, Thank you. I wish I could buy you a beer sometime.
Anyone that has this machine and isn't subscribed to your site is really missing out. It's helped me in many ways. All videos are put together well and to the point.
Thanks for free tutorials and Q&As. I'm having issues with my machine. The upper thread goes under the bobbin-well (bobbin-axis? on the market) and gets entangled around the gear where the rod runs on. I have no idea what to do to stop this from happening. I'd appreciate very much if anyone could help. I'm also having the absurdly high thread tension to the point I can snap a thread by just tugging it to the needle. I'm polishing everywhere like mad to fix this issue as I speak. (I don't think my machine was built right. I had to remove one of two pressure foot springs not to pole holes in the leather, too.)
I'm still struggling with this machine but I made some progress. The right kind of thread makes an enormous difference. The thread I just got is a bonding thread? It's coated, apparently. Without this, I can do nothing. The mono filament thread the machine came with has been nothing but a curse to me. When you doubt, change thread & needle. I also polished everywhere the thread touches. I mean everywhere. The build quality of this machine is a nightmare and every corner was tearing the thread little by little. Also the spring on the bobbin shuttle has the tendency to pinch the thread instead of just pressing it. That pinching occurs when I use the holes further from the spring's screw & the spring is touching the wall. I decided to have some distance between the spring and the wall, so I can sew. Over all, this machine is way too finicky for me to handle. Maybe I got a lemon of a machine. I don't know. I suppose to pay like 5 grands for this sort of machine, so I can't complain too much, perhaps... This machine tests you. Whoever still here please with me luck.
I wanted to thank you for sharing all your knowledge! I've been trying to get my machine working for about two weeks, been watching all your videos as well as the other guys sharing on RUclips, my problems have been breaking the thread, not tightening up the bottom stitch I would end up looking good on the top stitch but a big mess on the bottom and then after a few stitches, the thread would break. I tried everything you mentioned in your videos until I found this one. My needle bar ended up needing to be close to flush on top in order for me to just feel the needle touch my finger underneath, this solved all my problems. THANK YOU, SIR!!
I tried so many things to get my bobbin thread to pull up, to no avail and then I watched your video, now it works with no problem!! Thanks so much!!! Rocky 👍✝✡
THANK YOU!!! It finally worked picking up the bobbin thread! The point was nowhere close to the bottom, The needle bar was about 1/4 inch above the lug and I had to lower the bar almost flush with the lug!!! What surprised me is that I just got the machine and it had the normal leather sample with stitches stuck on the needle so I assumed it was already set, but you know what they say about assuming!! Well thank you very much for your videos they have been a GREAT HELP!!! Honestly watching your videos was what inspired me to get the machine!! Again thanks and keep the videos coming!!!
Harrison want to say a HUGE thanks. Got one of these machines right out of the box had the issue of not picking up bobbin thread checked out you vids on timing all of that was fine but this rod adjustment fixed my issue now im sewing away again Thanks keep up the great vids.
Just wanted to say thanks so much, I went through all the basic set up videos you have and it took me until this point to get my machine working. I thought I had the needle depth right but dropping it just about 1/16 following the finger prick check and was in business. Now I am stitching away on my machine. Thanks!
You did it! I struggled with my new machine for a couple hours today and couldn't get ti to pick up the bobbin thread. I watched your first video in this series... still no luck. I watched this one and it works now! You are great! Now to start stitching and adjusting thread tension and other minor adjustments. Thanks for all your great information!!
You're a Rock Star,... lol! It is 03 and I have been screwing around with this thing since yesterday morning. Now I understand what happened, needle broke and got stuck and the needle post got pulled down about 1/32". I fixed everything else! Bought this thing 3 years ago and who knows where the manual is and it wouldn't be much help anyway. I noticed the needle was low, but didn't know where it was set originally.I could time this thing in my sleep and disassemble it and re-assemble it like my sweet 16. Thanks! ManThere's a little Chinese guy who's ears are probably ringing! Maddening when the bobbin keeps breaking the upper thread! I owe you a beer!
Thank you so much! I've been trying to troubleshoot this for hours and this fixed it right away. I really appreciate your thoroughness in explaining all the issues that it could be. Thank you for your dedication to teaching us about this little machine.
Great Vids friend! :-) Before I found this I did a search and the answer I found from a machine manufacturer was to insert the bobbin-driver when the flywheel handle is at 9 O' Clock and orient the driver so that the rear-wall of the driver starts at 9 O'clock in the "hole" and finishes at about 1 O'Clock. Worked first time for me on my machine. :-)
Finally!!!!!!! That was the fix for the problem. Great job on that, it will help a lot of people out. Instead of using my finger I just loosened the shaft and with my flat head screw driver I placed it flush on the bottom hole you spoke of and tightened the fasteners. Worked perfect.
Thanks again for the needle bar position. I ran into this exact issue after a modification I just made. Having a Juki DDL-5550 that has a knee lift for the pressor foot, at 6’3” I had to fabricate one for this one as well. I don’t have any video but will take photos and send to you. It turned out great, very simple and also spent nothing using what had in the garage already. I made a simple wooden stand with a center gap to “C” clamp on my Juki table for easy removal. It is all attached to that wood base, linkage to the back, pivots to transfer motion to the rear then captured link moves forward the lift arm and have 3/4” (19mm) of lift. Thanks to your efforts, explanation and the fun you had with your results inspired me to fabricate this. After all, having a free hand always helps. Thanks very much! Thanks for that comment!! I have been looking for someone with a Juki machine, that way I could pick their brain about set up and building a table. I have a bar tack Juki and a buddy of mine sent the motor to run it. Now I just need to build a table and putt everything together.
@@MainelyAcresFarmBrooks My Juki is a single needle lock stitch as they call it. It came with a table and clutch type motor that I like. As you may know, they run like a weed-eater on crack, stitching 3 feet in 1/2 seconds, so I ordered large and really small pulley, then welded a bracket to reduce speed. The motor adjustment takes care of first belt tension, table adjustment for over all height adjust second belt. Now runs so I can control it. I will be happy to email off your channel page. The temperature dropped 60+ degrees F today so had to get outside stuff done. Will take photos to send you soon, showing how the motor hangs by gravity, but has tensioner rod too. It is because if your videos, I bought the Chinese boot stitcher, now with kneed operated pressor foot lift and stitch length indicator. I will show you both... as soon as my finger thaw out!
Great tip. Been watching your videos. Just received my machine today. Will cut up some wood within the next few days and get it mounted then re-watch your videos again.
Very good!!! Very Goooooooood!! Thank you so much for making your videos... I have bought a machine that looks like yours and was going insane already!!! Follow all of the advice and all the videos up to this one and what do you know this one solved the problem. Thank you again and again!!! You got a new subscriber, and a very thankful person here. Cheers, God Bless you and your family. I will be making a series of videos to my Brazilian friends and will definitely mention your channel(if you don't mind, of course), will shared the hints and tips.
hi there your videos really helped the top thread kept breaking but when i reset the bobbin it seemed to fix the problem all i need to do is get the bobbin wheel to work ,should be able to thanks so much for your video, this machine is going to be very handy.from liz in nz
Fantastic! I'd followed all your other videos about timing etc but still couldn't get my new machine to pick up the bottom thread. Found this one, followed the advice and what do you know? It's picked up the bottom thread and sews!!! Still needs a bit of minor adjustments but at least it works. Thanks for this vid, I'll be sure to watch some other now. Cheers. 😁
Thanks for all the good info, but I still had trouble with the bobbin thread picking up until I replaced it. The factory bobbin thread was more like mono fishing line, but the machine works fine now with a thicker polyester thread on the bobbin. Hope this helps.
Ah this was it! I've tried all the other videos and nothing was working. I was seriously ready to donate it. I just did this test, readjusted the shuttle to the position in your other video and mended my leather grips for weightlifting. Thanks a ton! I bought some scrap leather to play with and was going to donate that too, time to start learning.
found some T135 on Etsy and will try it, but really surprised that big 'ol needle broke , the #16 and the other thread sewed through the same double thickness of leather previously
Sounds like a bobbin feeding issue. It might help to polish the bobbin shuttle and bobbin well with a Dremel tool. I have a video where I demonstrate how to polish the shuttle and you can use the same method to polish the well. ruclips.net/video/DB9wwwC7V5M/видео.html Skip to 6:50 to get right to the point.
Could be a timing issue, the needle bar height, burs on eye of needle or bobbin shuttle, or tension issue. If you need any extra help I am available on video chat.
Got it working! Actually sewed some test seams thru double layer leather with the 16 needle and some poly thread I had, it eventually broke, but it sews 13or 14 stitches/inch wow! Can that be adjusted, to get fewer/inch?
Did you get this comment: " There are two screws under the frame near the sewing head. One controls the presser foot pressure and the other one slightly to the rear controls the stitch length." The screw without the spring's attached is the screw that adjusts the stitch length.
How do you adjust the bobbin tension do you put the thread under the spring all the time? or leave it out for heavy leather? thanks for your help Yankee
You can adjust the bobbin tension by choosing one of two holes or you can add extra tension by crossing from one hole to the other. I always put the thread under the spring, I have not had success running without one.
Brother, how can I get a few dollars in your hands for a burger and a brew? You absolutely solved my issue here and I love that you are conceptualizing for all the different variants of machine out there. Like I think I have a newer model because my machine has threading go through horizontally through the driving arm versus vertically through it.
I am about to toss mine in the scrap pile !!! Bought the premium package. It stitched - sort of !! So i disassembled to clean - debur - lube - etc. I think i finally got it back in time - I keep breaking the top thread. Sometimes on the first couple stitches, sometimes on the 6th or 7th. Any input would be helpful. Im sure i am OVER thinking the issue.
It could be a couple issues, but I am going to guess it's the needle bar. Here is a video to check to see if the needle bar needs to be adjusted further down. ruclips.net/video/VagtDdcenwI/видео.html
thanks for the additional video. adjusted the needle bar that seemed too high before. even took it to a sewing machine store, where the guy said he was able to get the bobbin thread to catch by adjusting the horizontal gear. unfortunately i didn't test it in the store so when i took it home i could get it to grab the bobbin once -- but not again! ugh.
Great video. Mine isn't picking up the thread but on my model you can't adjust the height of your needle bar so not sure what I can do. Thanks for any help
I would start off by checking the needle to see if there is any burs, then make sure the needle size is big enough for the thread your using. If both of those are good I would move on to checking the bobbin tension and the needle bar height. If you still can't get your machine to sew after that feel free to send another comment.
Hi I have an issue with the top thread breaking only when I do a back stitch, I can sew 1cm thick leather no worries but if I back stitch it, it will break every time. I have watched all your videos on setting it up and its correct, but I can't seem to figure out whys it breaks on a back Stitch (sewing over stitching to lock your thread) thanks
I am not sure what .45mm is converted to the standard thread size, but .5mm is equal to size 207. A size 207 needs a needle size of 140/22, so my best guess is that the needle is too small.
Or it could be a tension issue because these machines are not meant to run waxed thread. I have used waxed thread in the past with no issues, but I only ran one tension disk and I had to fiddle with the tension in the bobbin.
Mine will pick up the thread, but it won’t tie the knot that needs to be done. So when I pull the piece of leather away it undoes the thread. Any tips? I did recently replaced a broken needle. Could it be that the bobbin thread is loose?
I've been having problems with my machine. It doesn't seem to pull the tread back up and not pinching the bottom thread at all... I seen a video similar but it didn't show the remedy to well. Using waxed hemp cord with 22 needles n 2 3oz piecesof upholstery leather. I've tried setting the timing needle depth everything. Pretty sure it all correct with positioning quoted in other videos just can't figure out why it's not locking in/ pulling the top stich back tough... tho looks good on top
Hey Garisson, I’ve followed all four videos but I’m still having issues w/ my top thread locking w/ the bottom thread, not sure what to do at this point …
Hi, I’ve watched al your videos and I’m still having issues. My thread won’t pick up the thread from the bobbin and instead it’s catching underneath the bobbin instead while sewing. Do you have any advice
Hi. I’ve watched all your videos about the machine not picking up the thread and have adjusted everything according to the videos but still can’t get the needle to pick up the bobbin thread. Any other thoughts?
Hi Harrison. So I got was able to use your video to get the bobbin to pick up and pull the thread through, but when I stick a piece of leather in to try to get it to stitch, it immediately breaks the top thread and it becomes stuck in the bobbin. Any suggestions for fixing this?
I have gone thru your videos and i still cant pull up my bobbin. It started that the bobbin would get all stuck with the top thread around it. Now it wont do anything Help!!
I have like three or four videos out on that topic. If your still having issues you can contact me through mainelyacres@yahoo.com for further one on one help.
Hey, Brother, I'm still having trouble with this thing! I've had it for nearly a year and was quickly frustrated. I'm now going "into production" with my leatherwork - the hobby turned into something else when people asked me to make them leather items. Anyway, I've taken the machine back up and I've spent nearly all day today trying to get the bobbin thread to pick up. I've cleaned, lubed, polished (fine steel wool and fine grit "wet/dry" sandpaper, then oiled lightly. I can get the needle thread to "loop," but it doesn't pick up the bobbin thread. I've watched your videos on the subject several times. I'm going to message and maybe email you if I can find your address.
Harrison, morn"n, got a couple new issues trying alittle heavier thread to test before other thread gets here...so, first the tip of the tension spring on the bobbin carrier broke off, and the pressure foot mechanism does not seem to be working... not walking the material. Thoughts?
Ok, got it figured...had to adjust foot pressure to get cam to engage, running bobbin carrier without tension spring ,seems ok. Tighter (smaller) stitches than I thought...is there a way to change stitch length or size?
Yes, There are two screws under the frame near the sewing head. One controls the presser foot pressure and the other one slightly to the rear controls the stitch length.
Hello. I have watched all your videos about bobbin timing and adjustment. My machine will now pick up the bobbin thread 3 out of 5 times but it will not sew. The thread from the needle misses the bobbin thread about every 3rd or 4th stitch and then the thread from the needle gets jammed in the bobbin. Size t135 #138 mil-spec thread, size 20 needle. Any ideas? Thanks again for all the effort you have put into these videos. -Rick
Update: It seems it was a timing issue. For my machine to run the bobbin carrier has to be at about 4 oclock with the crank at 12 oclock. Otherwise the bobbin carrier does not go far enough clockwise to get the pointy part (probably has a name) past the well the needle is in and pick up the thread. I accomplished this by moving the bar with the gears that turn the bobbin a little past flush with the crank at the 3 oclock position. I never would have gotten this thing running without your help. -Rick
I happy to hear you got your machine up and running. I was thinking it could have been a timing issue or the needle bar needing to be lowered down a bit. These machines can be temperamental, I had a guy that was just one tooth off from being in the correct timing.
Harrison, i got the 22/140 Organ Industrial needles, and some T-70 #69 poly thread, could not find the T-135 thread you recommended. The thread seems light and not really any stronger than what I had , broke the needle on the first couple of stitches...thoughts?
The T-70 is a good thread to work with, I use it on light projects. The 22/140 needle your using is way to big for that T-70. I would use a 16-18 sized needle for running the lighter stuff. As for the broken needle, it could be a number of things. I would need to see your machine to help troubleshoot that.
Sigh....mine still won't catch. I made all you adjustments, and really appreciate your videos. It just hates me. Ready to buy something different and just keep hand sewing for now. I'm super annoyed that I can't return the machine either.
Hey man, ordered up the needles and thread you suggested, what bobbin hole should I use ,the one to the outside of the spring for thicker threads? just using the first thread tensioner pully and not run it through the second one ...right?
Nothing like learning how to run a post apocalyptic sewing machine from a guy in an eye patch! Thank you for all your very helpful videos on these machines!
It sounds like there are good machines and bad machines and they need repaired some how .I guess i got a good one .Mine works perfict but i only use wallmart upholstery thread bonded nylon. And my dewalt drill to wind bobbins much faster the old 12 volt drill.
There is nothing wrong with the ol'Walmart thread as long as it's bonded nylon. You only run into issues when you try to run plain cotton thread through these machines. That's a good tip about using your drill for winding bobbins!! Thanks for commenting
YOU ARE ABOUT THE BEST ONE ON TIPS FOR THE MACHINE....OTHERS TAKE YOU THRU THE PROBLEM BUT NEVER TELL HOW TO FIX IT..IT'S ON THE NEXT VIDEO COMING SOON...THANKS

I still cannot pick up the bobbin thread....I did Everything but it wont work :( When The needle goes in the hole , it comes back but nothing changes... Sorry for my Bad english , im from Germany

@Carolyn Lance I am sending photos that Mainly Acres may choose to place in a future video, narrate and show how I fabricated a "Knee" lift for the pressor foot. It requires some fabrication skills, some welding / brazing / metal & bending / drilling one spot / and pallet wood or substitute to glue foam and staple some vinyl to push with your knee. His channel has become the "Go-To" location for clear information about setting up, using, diagnosing and having fun with this machine. This is about having fun, no electricity unless you want and perhaps make some products to sell, or fix stuff. The lever is under the main upper frame, directly behind the forward top thread tension disc. It is a little awkward to work on this cam method, but gets it done. I make a simple wood base, glue and screws, but included a place to attach a 4" C clamp to remove from my existing sewing bench, so I can used my other machine. Since it sits right on the edge and the other machine has a knee operated pressor foot lifter that I really like, I thought what the heck, go for it. May not be for all, but I like having a free hand while doing certain task. Best of luck! Retired ASE Master Auto Tech / Retired
Good eye Carlos, I was in the process of making a video when you asked, so I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Here is the video I made today talking about the spool holder mod: ruclips.net/video/SQmkL1WqySo/видео.html
I really need your help desperately. All your methods did not work and I’m hoping there’s something else, I need them for orders that need to be done before Christmas, hopefully you’re still checking comments
If you want to replace the tension spring on your bobbin shuttle you can order the parts here: www.bantamsaddletack.com/Spare-tension-clip-screw-for-Patcher-Sewing-Machine-shuttle-hook_p_52.html. I don't mean to sound like a salesman, but I thought you might find this helpful.
Maybe you should offer a service of setting these up for people that have bought these machines. I have one and it is not working no matter what i do. It will not catch the bobbin thread, and did only once. and when it did the machine did not advance the leather. It bound up and would not sew. These things are terrible in my opinion and if if was for the fact I cannot return it I would rather use it as a boat anchor. HUGE waste of money in my opinion.
Thank you for showing me around my machine. After adjusting my depth of my needle, I realized my material wasn't walking. I'm going to call it a cam system for the needle and the foot. The cam for the foot has two bolts to tighten it down to the rotating shaft. Once I realized this, I found a video showing the relative position that the lift should start. That cam is solid now. I'm still having to work on mine, but I'm one step closer. I had another link on here, but to support this channel I've changed it to a video of him showing the cam positioning. ruclips.net/video/2tlT2prY8qg/видео.html
@@MainelyAcresFarmBrooks I changed the link to a video of yours. While the video I linked was cool, you showed exactly what was needed in another video I found. Thank you for all the work you have done. Hope this little bit helps you.
I hope you see this! I wish I could private message you somehow. I have watched all of your videos and I still need help. I’m not having issues picking up the bobbin thread, but the thread bunching up in the bobbin. Picks up bobbin just fine but If I try to sew, it seems thread is just bunching and not looping together correctly. I wish I could send you pictures. Maybe you could email me and help me out? I will gladly pay you for your time. I have had this machine over a month and still haven’t gotten it going.
Hi Harrison, I'm having a fair amount of trouble with my sewing machine and was hoping you'd be able to help! I'm using #92 thread and the needle that came with it (I want to say it's an 18 needle). When I first started using it, the machine worked flawlessly but when I started running it yesterday, I could only make it through around 2 stitches before the thread would snap. I think that it was knotting outside of the leather causing it to snag?? The issues came about after I was messing with the machine and trying to get the walking foot to stop tearing up the leather - I simply used a file like you recommended previously (thanks for the recommendation!). What do you think is happening? Here is a link to the video showing what's happening. Thanks for your help! ruclips.net/video/QtzTxhgo04c/видео.html
Thank you from the bottom of my heart I recently got this machine and couldn’t get it to work until now thank you sir!!! Just subbed check out my channel I’ll have some videos up soon using this machine...

Thanks for the tip
Finally!!!!!!! That was the fix for the problem. Great job on that, it will help a lot of people out. Instead of using my finger I just loosened the shaft and with my flat head screw driver I placed it flush on the bottom hole you spoke of and tightened the fasteners. Worked perfect.
Happy to help, thanks for commenting

Sounds good, can't wait to see your set up. Thank you again for your help
Great tip. Been watching your videos. Just received my machine today. Will cut up some wood within the next few days and get it mounted then re-watch your videos again.
Good luck!
After watching a lot of videos this was the video that finally helped me get my machine running. Thank you for your great videos!
No problem, I am happy to help!!
I’ve been trying to figure this out for two days!! That trick finally worked!!
Good deal!!
I don't mind at all, I know how frustrating these machines can be. Thank you for commenting!!
@@MainelyAcresFarmBrooks Thank you so much again and again!!! Cheers and have a great week!
hi there your videos really helped the top thread kept breaking but when i reset the bobbin it seemed to fix the problem all i need to do is get the bobbin wheel to work ,should be able to thanks so much for your video, this machine is going to be very handy.from liz in nz
Thanks for commenting and best of luck on your future sewing projects
This last thing is what got my machine going. Thanks for the video.
Glad to help
Cheers. 😁
Awesome, I glad I was able to help.
Thank for commenting!!
God bless you Manly Acres! This worked for me!!!
Good deal, I am happy to hear your up and running.
found some T135 on Etsy and will try it, but really surprised that big 'ol needle broke , the #16 and the other thread sewed through the same double thickness of leather previously
Yeah, something is not right.
I can pick up the string just find, but I can only do 1 or 2 stitches and then my string breaks. the string seems to be clogging up in my bobbin area.
This did it for me! Bottom thread picks up perfectly for me with this adjustment. Now I just need to figure out why my top thread keeps breaking.
Could be a timing issue, the needle bar height, burs on eye of needle or bobbin shuttle, or tension issue. If you need any extra help I am available on video chat.
Thank you very much. The needle depth fixed my problem.
Sweet!! Thanks for your support
Nice job Harrison.
Here is a video to check to see if the needle bar needs to be adjusted further down. ruclips.net/video/VagtDdcenwI/видео.html
thanks for the additional video. adjusted the needle bar that seemed too high before. even took it to a sewing machine store, where the guy said he was able to get the bobbin thread to catch by adjusting the horizontal gear. unfortunately i didn't test it in the store so when i took it home i could get it to grab the bobbin once -- but not again! ugh.
I am sorry to hear your machine is still giving you a headache, I hope you get it running soon.
Great video. Mine isn't picking up the thread but on my model you can't adjust the height of your needle bar so not sure what I can do. Thanks for any help
I have three to four videos on the topic of "My machine won't pick up the bobbin thread" make sure to check out my complete playlist.
Can you talk about setting the thread tension, using both tension springs?
I will do!! Its been a while since I have done a sewing video. I should have it up in a day or two
I am now having a problem with the.thread breaking. It breaks at the needle, and it will not sew!
BTW my machine has two tension.screws.
I would start off by checking the needle to see if there is any burs, then make sure the needle size is big enough for the thread your using. If both of those are good I would move on to checking the bobbin tension and the needle bar height. If you still can't get your machine to sew after that feel free to send another comment.
Hey my bobbin picks up but when it goes to build the loop it get wrapped around the gear the runs the bobbin .
What size thread/needle combo are you using?
@@MainelyAcresFarmBrooks .45 mm waxed thread and the needle is 15x1 18/110
I am not sure what .45mm is converted to the standard thread size, but .5mm is equal to size 207. A size 207 needs a needle size of 140/22, so my best guess is that the needle is too small.
Or it could be a tension issue because these machines are not meant to run waxed thread. I have used waxed thread in the past with no issues, but I only ran one tension disk and I had to fiddle with the tension in the bobbin.
@@MainelyAcresFarmBrooks cheers i'm not up with the sewing terminology myself, I thought the needle might be a bit small, ill try bigger needles'
Mine will pick up the thread, but it won’t tie the knot that needs to be done. So when I pull the piece of leather away it undoes the thread. Any tips? I did recently replaced a broken needle. Could it be that the bobbin thread is loose?
That's a bobbin placement issue or a needle bar depth issue.
The manufacture doesn't recommend using waxed thread.
If you need any further help I am available for video chat

Hello my machine is still not picking up the bobbin thread and the top thread is getting thrashed and snapping
You can reach me at mainelyacres@yahoo.com and we can set up a video chat to get you up and running.
Harrison, morn"n, got a couple new issues trying alittle heavier thread to test before other thread gets here...so, first the tip of the tension spring on the bobbin carrier broke off, and the pressure foot mechanism does not seem to be working... not walking the material. Thoughts?
Wow, you are having an eventful morning aren't ya. How thick is the material you're trying to sew through?
Ok, got it figured...had to adjust foot pressure to get cam to engage, running bobbin carrier without tension spring ,seems ok. Tighter (smaller) stitches than I thought...is there a way to change stitch length or size?
Yes, There are two screws under the frame near the sewing head. One controls the presser foot pressure and the other one slightly to the rear controls the stitch length.
I don't know an awful lot about the subject, but was a nice put together video thanks for sharing
Thank you for the compliment and comment!! These sewing machines are a blast to work with.
This WORKED! My machine wasn't set correctly from the factory.
Good explanation Sir ,thank you.
Thank you for the support!!
Sigh....mine still won't catch. I made all you adjustments, and really appreciate your videos. It just hates me. Ready to buy something different and just keep hand sewing for now. I'm super annoyed that I can't return the machine either.
have you seen this video: ruclips.net/video/XJAhqb9tNpc/видео.html
I watched part 1, 2 and 3 and none of these will allow my bobbin thread to come up.
Hey man, ordered up the needles and thread you suggested, what bobbin hole should I use ,the one to the outside of the spring for thicker threads? just using the first thread tensioner pully and not run it through the second one ...right?
Yes, you want to use the set of holes furthest away from the bobbin spring. As for the upper tensioning, I typically use both disks.
K...kool
This solved my problem, thanks mate 😄😄🇦🇺🇦🇺
No worries👍👊

Which set of holes are you using when threading the bobbin carrier?

Hey do you have a email where I can send you a video of what I’m having a problem with my machine to see if you can possibly help me to solve it
mainelyacres@yahoo.com
How do you raise the pressure foot
There should be a lever on the backside of your sewing machine

I am more than happy to meet up with you on Facebook video chat if you want to try to get your machine up and running.
Lol 😂 how can sew you please? I shanked my fingers 🤞🤣👌🇬🇧
I pierced my finger with this method! Just kidding ... good tip, Ill have to readjust mine, it's too deep although it's running fine.
LOL, good deal
Thank you for showing me around my machine. After adjusting my depth of my needle, I realized my material wasn't walking. I'm going to call it a cam system for the needle and the foot. The cam for the foot has two bolts to tighten it down to the rotating shaft. Once I realized this, I found a video showing the relative position that the lift should start. That cam is solid now. I'm still having to work on mine, but I'm one step closer.
I had another link on here, but to support this channel I've changed it to a video of him showing the cam positioning.
