Abstract
Within SPR and in the world of psychosocial disciplines there is growing concern with better understanding and therefore providing relevant and respectful assistance to those persons, families and communities who live under harsh conditions of extreme poverty, social seclusion, stigmatization and oppression. Although many programs in the world seek to provide help, SPR as a scientific community devoted to research, needs to collectively identify, get in touch and disseminate methods which are adequate to better understand the needs in mental healthcare as well as adequate interventions.
This webinar aims to collect the variety of methods used in different contexts, as they have been registered, collected and classified by the presenter, Denise Defey, who has been working, researching and teaching in the field for several decades both in her country Uruguay, as in other settings in Latin America and Europe.
