It's funny how so many don't seem to realize this is not so much a cover of the original as it is of HER version. Even the huge orchestral versions in concerts found online are like that.

I love this so much. The song is usually played so somber and mellow, but the lyrics themselves are announcing the arrival of the Dragonborn and the fall of Skyrim's enemies. They're a celebration! So turning that Draconic chant into a lively tavern jig is just the greatest thing.

Though partway through it becomes more upbeat, more energetic, as though it's being sung not as a prophecy, but as a memory, a recent memory. The great covers all sound like they'd be performed by a choir at some banquet held in the Dragonborn's honor, and I love that.
