The apartment dumpsters were great today and I can't believe the silver-plated tea set - it's so beautiful I couldn't image throwing it away! We certainly found some great items for our garage sale, which we are planning to have next month hopefully (still too hot right now).

The silver is called a hostess set...coffee pot (large pot), tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl. All on a nice serving tray for easy transport.
The tea set is electroplated and is worth more as Scrap
Take all the metal take the old air fryer. It scrap
We always called it a tea service. The tall pot is for tea and the short one is for coffee.

The tea set was probably dumped by a porch pirate.. Who would throw these away without even opening!?

The compass glass end accent table with clock sells for $110 dollars new at Home Depot! The silver plate set is gorgeous! Good haul!

You really should do a 3 day yardsale Fri-Sunday..maybe get your neighbors involved, people luv neighbood yards sales ..Start advertising it week before fb market place , fb yardsale groups and Craig's list and try to make the most revenue.
The taller of the 2 silver pourer is a coffee pot as the smaller one is a teapot pretty set tho another great dive x
Also the octagon side table is perfect to double as a pet bed just take the door off and put a soft bed inside

Hey guys, The thing that has pepper on the bottom I believe is a kit hen gadget and it holds big cooking spoons, spatulas and so on. Thanks for saving those things from going to the dump.❤

The silver tea service is real silver plate like they mostly all are. It is real tarnish and they do need polishing to remove tarnish. I have my mother's set and it is silver plate too. Amazing find, not to be trashed.
The octagonal or hexagonal table is indeed an end table! I have 2 sets of 2. Very popular in the 60's & 70's. I use the 2 in my living room to store puzzles and games. The other 2 are in my bedroom. I turned one of the openings of the tables to the corner with the doors open, I put my kitties hooded litter box inside so I don't have to see or smell it! I stacked the other table on top & made a cushion for inside. Now, kitties have a hidden hang out space to sleep!
The changing room thing looks like a freestanding closet. You can hang clothes on the racks, and store folded clothes in the zippered sections ☺️ Another fun video 😊 Thanks

my grandparents had an end table just like that. Grandpa kept his candy stash in there and we each got to pack a bag when it was time to go home. That brought back great memories
Just an idea--I live in Kentucky where Bourbon is king. A popular craft around here takes used liquor bottles and inexpensive lamp kits. When combined, you have a creative source of light. They usually sell for good money here, too. The neater the bottle and shade, the bigger the price they can fetch. I love recycled art. Thought you all might like it, too.

My grandmother use to have 2 of those Wooden Octagon End Tables at either end of her couch, but a different style. She also had a long coffee table that matched. The little bear looks like something you would put on your counter and put your cooking utensils in, like spatulas, whisk, wooden spoons things like that. The tea set is very pretty and a great find.
I went bin diving yesterday here in New Zealand and I got a bag filled with toy cars which I will be donating to my mums friend for her 3 year old grandson

If you had taken the green bag with the silver inside it was an insulated lunch cooler. You could have brought cold drinks with you when you go diving. Just cut back the Fern. It will grow back more lush than it is now. Spray with mister for some moist since it is so hot there. You could also take it out of the pot and put new soil in it. The basil should recover but if it doesn’t you can cut the stem and put it in water till it roots then plant again in a pot. Let the soil get closer to dry before watering both of these plus the are partial shade. Can’t take the heat. Basil needs trimming as well as it grows. Look here on RUclips for growing info on them. You’ll find a lot of gardening videos. Good growing.👍

Silver plate does tarnish. It is 'real silver', (but just a very thin layer) so it tarnishes and can be polished with silver polish.

Hello from England. If one might say what you found was a plated tea service. The larger jug would be for hot water, the next one a tea pot, milk jug and sugar bowl. As it is silver plated the tarnishing just means it needs a light going over with silver polish. No hard rubbing as that will remove the plating. An ideal set for a middle class house to serve tea, a showy piece. ❤❤👋👋👵🏴 ( You should look up the wands. They may also be worth money as they are very expensive at the resorts)

Actually I think it is a tea service, so the larger one is for hot water. When the (loose leaf) tea runs low, you traditionally add more hot water to it from the larger pot. I used to think it was coffee and tea, but my British dad told me about the hot water. My mom had a set just like it.

First Table you found is a 1970s end table. what we had in our first home in the 70s it was the newest thing out at that time.
That 6 sided table makes a great pet bed/table! I painted one and gave it to a friend with little dogs and they love it!
If you take the door off the front of that hexagon shaped end table, you could put a cushion or a blanket inside of it for Bones. Check google for photos
So they throw the TV in the recycle bin and the box in came in, in the trash bin!!! 🤦🏼♀️😂 love the videos guys! 🇬🇧

Very good haul. The silver plated tea set looks brand new. 👍 Cut back the dead leaves on the fern and give it a dose of fertilizer and plenty of water and it will definitely grow. Bones is spoiled like my black and white cat who also likes to be cradled. 😁

The fern! Yay! Put a little Epsom salts in a bucket of water and dip the bottom of the curb roots into the water. Ferns love this way of watering better than pouring water on the leaves. It will grow big and beautiful!
we went to a big yard sale today. everything was free. i got cookbooks and clothes and curling irons and a salad spinner and big pie pan. got tons of pretty free drapes never used. it was so fun. they were gonna toss everything out in the garbage after today.
That big thing is a clothes organizer...I had one years ago... Nice job you and Alex are doing! P. S. That clock thing is cool too... I think it's a barometer as well!

Furniture flippers take those octagonal end tables and paint them up pretty, or sometimes they take the doors off and turn them into small pet beds that are also tables. That was a great find.

If they are Sterling Silver it would have a "hallmark" on it.

Great haul! Most of those items were very cool and unique! Like you said about the hexagon cupboard, the door can be removed and you can create a cat den for Bones! Maybe when bins have an overwhelming amount of items, maybe take out a few bags and fill a cardboard box just to see what is lurking underneath it all. Often when people are moving out, some of the best finds are further down and unseeable! Just a thought. Happy diving!

Hey Alex and Kelly, Just wanted to mention that the packing peanuts you found this day are also great for creating sculptures. If you wet them a little with a paint brush, then push together they will adhere to each other. I use them in my elementary art class for creating 3D sculptures. So Fun!

We used to call that end table a drum table. Very much 60’s style.
My mother had an end table like that when I was a kid. I think they were really popular in the late 70s and 80s.

The silver plate set the smaller pot is a tea pot the larger one is a coffee pot. That end table you got with the doors, I had 2 of them and when I had cats I ended up turning one to the side and putting a couple of blankets inside it and left one of the doors open so my cats would have a safe comfy place to hide from the other one.

The silver plated set if tarneshed easy to clean. You have a Serving Tray /sugar pot ( small one double handles)/ creamer or milk jug/taller thinner pot with lid is in fact a "Coffee Pot"/the shorter more stubby pot with lid is in fact your "teapot". Hope ghat helps
